jrebecca ,   modiin   (07.29.13)
32. @23 What kind of Parents? Parents who have come here
jrebecca ,   modiin   (07.29.13)
over the last 100 years, and built a pretty fantastic country. Same sort of people. Strong, with faith in themselves, in their people and in their future.
33. #6: Reasons the land belongs to the Jews
Cynthia Morris ,   London   (07.29.13)
1) They are the indigenous people 2) They were here centuries before the Arab marauders invaded 3) They founded most of the communities existing today 4) They built the walls, roads, and Temples in Jerusalem 5) They purchased thousands of acres of land that had been held privately 6) They were awarded the land as a people and encouraged to settle it in law by the League of Nations and United Nations 7) They successfully defended the land against multiple Arab military attempts to steal it and annihilate them 8) They have largely defeated bloodthirsty Arab terrorism intended to kill and drive them off the land 9) They have made the (swamp) land bloom with enormously productive agriculture, beautiful and bustling cities, and organizations that are conferring to the world some of the greatest breakthroughs in the areas of medical, communication, and information technology 10) They control the land There have always been those like you, the N@zis, Arabs, etc, leading the call and efforts to ethnically cleanse and murder Jews. And yet the Jews remain. How do you like them apples?
34. #23. Good, patriotic, courageous, wise parents..
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.29.13)
What kind of parents begin families in liberated Judea and Samaria? Easy question. Good patriotic, courageous, wise parents who know the future.
35. selfish, irresponsible people
ruth ,   london england   (07.29.13)
These people are deranged, irrational religious fanatics who are putting their children in danger. Shame on them!
36. #5 Well said! Especially from someone sitting on
A ,   Belgium   (07.29.13)
"occupied" Syrian land. When do YOU plan on evacuating, hypocrite? Just imagine stability in Syria and the chance of peace with Israel, and regardless of whether there is a left or right or center or upside-down party in power, they will be slobbering all over themselves trying to give the Golan back, in return for another arab promise.
37. What irresponsible parents
Becky   (07.29.13)
What irresponsible parents raising their children in a hostile and dangerous environment putting their so called principles above the safety of their children. They should be ashamed.
38. My fellow commenters, are you buying into the lies?
Shmilfke ,   Canada   (07.29.13)
Based on some of the comments here, the Palestinian propaganda team's application of Goebbels rule that "if you repeat a lie it becomes the truth" seems that its being succesfully applied. Wake up people! These Palestinians (and their oppressors in Syria, Joran, Egypt and Saudi) aren't JUST upset about "settlements" and otherwise totally peaceful. They hate all of us equally, and would take the ENTIRE Israel next chance they get! Is it not obvious??!
39. #30 An Answer
Rafi ,   Merkaz, Israel   (07.29.13)
1) I'm neither Left nor Right. 2) I seem to remember a Rightist A.Sharon cleared out of Gaza. 3) Nobody begged to take food from the poor to buy Iron Dome. 4) Most of the settlers are looking for cheap housing - nothing more.
40. #35 Do you feel your children are safe in
A ,   Belgium   (07.29.13)
Londonstan? Might as well just hand it over to the moslems before they just take it themselves, along with Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, etc.
41. Notice the fanatical smiles
(07.29.13)
Their escape from reality will be short lived.
42. #27 Time Machine
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.29.13)
I recommend that you and your ilk get in to your Time Machine, go back 2000 years, switch off he machine and remain there

Non Jewish immigrant   (07.29.13)
Let see ten when one of them will be hurt or dead
45. #44
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.29.13)
Why don't you immigrate your miserable carcas back to where you came from. You are not wanted in OUR country. GO HOME!!
46. #35 I'd Move for Peace
Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (07.29.13)
The part of the Golan I live in is not occupied land, it was no man's land prior to 67. I've lived here for over 35 years and I'd move for peace, I'd only move for real peace. There is no future in this part of the world without peace, the only problem is that it takes two to make peace. You Europeans should look beyond your prejudice and understand that the situation here is not black and white.
47. G-d Bless Them
RJSUSA ,   USA   (07.29.13)
G-d bless these wonderful people. They are truly the cream of the earth. I pray for their happiness and safety. Jews should be allowed to live anywhere in the world, particularly in the Biblical Heartland of Judaism!!
48. Dror it looks like you're dead wrong
Non Jewish immigrant   (07.29.13)
Why would I get a permit to stay here and live here if I was not wanted? I live here, bought my plot of land and built my house, I work, pay my taxes, contribute to the Israeli society AND I'm entitled to my own opinion! So I might not be Jewish but believe me I'm definitely wanted here!
49. Mazal tov and Welcome Home!
Aviela ,   Migron RC, Israel   (07.29.13)
The yishuvim are wonderful places to raise proud, happy, balanced children. Wishing all of you a smooth and rewarding aliyah.
50. #46. Total Israeli victory is ONLY true path to peace.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.29.13)
There is nothing mysterious about peace making. Thousands of years of history prove long term peace results from resounding military victories. The resounding WW II victory of the Allies is a classic example. The same applies to Israel. Resounding Israeli victory, with no concessions whatsoever, is the ONLY true path to peace. The genocidal "Palestinian" poseurs must go.
51. #35 As if you care
Cynthia ,   USA   (07.29.13)
You just hope they'll leave so irrational Islamic fanatics can move in.
52. #46 Actually, I lived more than 10 years in a Shomron
A ,   Belgium   (07.29.13)
community, where I was able to see and hear Scud rockets falling on Tel Aviv. So I see the situation in perfect color. And what exactly is "no man's land"? The area between 2 hostile entities which keeps them from ripping each other apart, like between the 2 Koreas. I would hope Israel would never give up the Golan for any reason, but I wouldn't brag about living in a "no man's land", and I wouldn't be too harsh on "settlers", as it seems you are one yourself actually.
53. Yes they are settlers alrightAl,, for real,,,,,,,
Linda ,   New Haven, Conn.   (07.29.13)
put some cowboy gear on these folks, some 1800th cent. duds, these folks in the pictures and they look just like the murderers of the 500 some odd Native American Indian Tribes during "The Wild Wild West"
54. the point of settlement policy
elke ,   usa   (07.29.13)
The point of settlement policy is to keep the price of real estate reasonable and accommodate population growth. It’s a government policy for Jewish citizens and the masses of Jews invited to move to Israel from around the globe with full immediate citizenship, yes? It’s a nation-building policy. It provides access to subsidized housing for Jewish citizens across borders in the Palestinian territories on claimed land (definitely cheaper). Military security controls the discontent of displaced locals, who are irrelevant and in the way. Economic considerations are backed by cultural beliefs in the righteousness of eminent domain. Hmmmm. It’s been done before, this business of displacing the riffraff to create more “living space” for the better sort of people, the more civilized, by their own lights. The ones who believe the coveted land is theirs, by right or might. This was called leben straum and the Ger mans acted on it by occupying their neighbor’s countries and cruelly oppressing the natives. Good grief, is this really the Jewish take-away from WWII?
55. 46 Arielush
alsky ,   toronto   (07.29.13)
there will never be peace until Islam reforms, and accepts Israel as the homeland of the ews. Islam has bloody borders-not just with Israel
56.  I will always support the 'settlers'
alsky ,   Toronto   (07.29.13)
may they continue to prosper. Not an inch !
57. #54 The Real Facts
Ben Israel ,   USA   (07.29.13)
Most of your post is about misguided assumptions and lack of knowledge. Here are the facts: 1. It is undisputed fact that the West Bank always belonged to the Jews. Most of the history of Jews in the past 3000+ years took place in the West Bank. 2. King Hussein of Jordan annexed the West Bank to Jordan knowing it was considered a disputed territory 3. The British were given a mandate to the area and they decided to give the Jews the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean sea. In addition, the British gave the country of Jordan to the Jews if and only if the Jews could populate that area. 4. There were no borders in 1967 and not before. On 4/4/49 a cease fire was reached between the parties, but it was never a recognized border. 5. UN Resolution 242 called for adjustment to the ceasefire lines and the Americans added that Israel re-captured its land. Egypt, Syria, Israel and Jordan agreed to the 242 Resolution. The so called Palestinians did not. 6. The Arabs rejected every proposed peace treaty. It started in 1937 (Pike), 1947, 242, roadmap and more. 7. The settlers have all the right to be where they are if they wish to. 8. It is not worthwhile for the Palestinians to have a peace with Israel. They're afraid nobody will care about their false cause.
58. #53 Please explain to me
A ,   Belgium   (07.30.13)
the meaning of "Conneticut", and how it is that you are passing judgement on others when you yourself are living on occupied Native American land? At least these "settlers" are returning to their homeland, unlike your forebearers who came from Europe, and stole a continent from its rightful inhabitants. And I'm from Chicago, so I know what I'm talking about.
59. #54 - you lost me
elke ,   usa   (07.30.13)
Right up top with: "It is undisputed fact that the West Bank always belonged to the Jews. Most of the history of Jews in the past 3000+ years took place in the West Bank." Sorry -- that some distant historical figures appearing in the pages of a book written in the 7th century may have trod the ground somewhere does not make it "yours" in the 20th century. Religious tracts and historical longings are not real estate deeds. Sentimental attachment and appreciation does not require possession. Perhaps I should go back to the land of my distant ancestors, lay claim to the land, evict the present residents by force, move in and declare it all mine by divine right? It would rightly be seen a madness and delusion.
60. #59: You lost me
Ben Israel ,   USA   (07.30.13)
I believe you let your emotions influence your judgement. Instead off coming up with solutions, you reject other. Let's level the field and please answer the following questions: 1. Please define who/what party/country controls any piece of land and who should control the west bank and why... give examples 2. Who are the Palestinians? Where did they come from? When did they come from? 3. I am curious, are you pro Palestinians, Pro Justice or both. I don't believe you can answer these questions because you are going to contradict yourself
