1. ENOUGH
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (07.30.13)
Of the PR, Photo Opps.... Just get down to talks in private out of sight FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES Palestinians in the West Bank have given the PA and Israelis their Government the Mandate to negotiate - and we don't want those negotiations taking part in the glare of cameras where facts can be BBCd (distorted or misinterpreted)..by anyone with an axe to grind As for Livini giving us a blow by blow account of the atmosphere, the positive vibes...all irrelevant so DONT say it - we don't want to know HOW you get to an agreement - just tell us when
2. What is Tsipo's contribution?
R. Atgeber   (07.30.13)
Is she the cook? Oy vey....
3. No leakings? Excuse me...
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A./Israel   (07.30.13)
The talks hardly began and Mr Abbas is already conspiring against Jews in the future State of Palestine. Come on, guys, you are not serious.
4. Shalom im Aravim?
Eliazer C ,   Amsterdam   (07.30.13)
Abbas wants a Judenrein Juda & Shomron. Need I say more. Yes, Bibi deserves our trust. He will not accept any "peacedeal" that is jeopardizing our security and entrance to our holy sites in Hebron and other places that belong to us. Can we trust Abbas? No, of course not. This so called peacetalks will fail and Israel will be blamed as usual. Lets build and stop talking with people that seek our destruction.
5. Livni's first mistake
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (07.30.13)
"it is not a favour to the united states or the palestinians...." she has already put herself in a weakened position by implying that israel needs these negotiations.
6. Only Livni and PM will believe their
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.30.13)
own stupidity as "hopeful". And Indyk the quinitissential anti Israel it has passed the absurd
7. Peace Talks Delusional
Gregg Bowman ,   Parksville, Canada   (07.30.13)

Brian ,   London   (07.30.13)
Regarding your last comment - I am not being arrogant, but on a serious note I am interested to know - what is your game plan regarding the international community, Israel's isolation, boycotts etc? What are your thoughts about a One State solution and the idea of either a true democracy with its' potential for an Arab majority in generations to come?
10. 9 there will never be a so-called one state solution
CJK   (07.30.13)
Israel is a sovereign state. Israel's sovereignty is inalienable and irrevocable. the arab palestinians have the choice to either compromise or to live as they do now in a semi-autonomous state.
11. USA & EU will pay heavy for forcing Israel into this..
Baumann Yaacov   (07.30.13)
12. palestinians are negotiating with themselves
CHAIM SCHONBRUN ,   BROOKLYN NY   (07.30.13)
Who is representing Israel?,the arabs have Abbas and Livni representing them, who is speaking for Israel ?. Jews in YESHA start packing your bags, this criminaly insane traitorous leftist cowardly regime has abandoned you and is determined to make YESHA judenrein
13. Ms. Livni should lower her hemlines to mid-knee unless
Rivkah   (07.30.13)
she is trying to provoke lust. Former US Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton said PM Netanyahu released the prisoners in exchange for the US' assistance in attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities.
14. #1 With all your good intentions you forget one fact:
A ,   Belgium   (07.30.13)
Hamas represents the arabs in gaza, and have already declared that the PA has no mandate to represent them. So is gaza supposed to have seperate negotiations with Israel (not that they would be willing to even sit at a table with Israeli delegates, even Bambi Livni)? Be completely ignored? Or, if the "palestinians" represented by the PA do manage to come to some sort of agreement with Israel without mucking up the peace talks, should we expect to see some sort of "brotherly disagreement" between arabs, as we are witnessing in Syria, Egypt, and possibly Tunesia?
15. # 9
Jules   (07.30.13)
Brian, you see, in 1948 some 700,000 Arabs left their homes, just because the Arab armies told them so: "leave for a few days, we will throw the Jews into the sea, and you will return". That didn't work. At the same time, 11 Arab countries expelled over 850,000 Jews from their homes; their properties were confiscated. Those people mostly settled in Israel. In order for the justice to be restored, all is needed: the Arab countries must accept and resettle on their territories all Palestinian Arabs. In other words, the problem can only be resolved according to the principle of reciprocity. That will end the conflict.
16. "Peace treaty with Palestinians" would be worst result.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.30.13)
#1 Sammy. Maybe you want a "peace deal with Palestinians". No sane Israeli does. It would cost Israel: * Judea * Samaria * Jerusalem * Freedom from constant rocket attacks * Defensible borders * EVERYTHING. The talks are evil, depraved and should not be allowed to go on.
17. Both sides should move....back !
Nora Tel Aviv   (07.30.13)
If, moving forward means confrontation of interests, peace will not come. .Peace will come only if both move back. Without bilateral concessions this generation will not see peace between Israelis and the Palestinians.
18. # 17
Jules   (07.30.13)
Nora, the Palestinians REJECT your very right to exist. They refuse to recognize Israel at all - just read the PLO Charter. Their goal is the destruction of your country, not peace with it.
19. THOSE SURRENDER TALKS MUST AND
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.30.13)
WILL FAIL !
20. ready, set, go..........
marco ,   pardes hana, israel   (07.30.13)
to nowhere..... Let's see how long this farce takes to crumble to pieces. Pals could have made peace with Israel decades ago but always look for reasons to say NO!!!
21. Talk about peace, but not about Jews not being permitted to
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.30.13)
dwell in parts of their ancestral homeland. If the Arabs' intent is to continue to attempt to "cleanse" our homeland of its Jews, there is no sense for the talks. Hence, I strongly suggest to the American mediators to condemn the call by Mr. Mahmoud Abbas that in a future Palestinian Arab state no Hebrews/Israelis/Jews will be permitted to reside. This was clearly a racist call, anti-Jewish racist, made on the first day of the talks for peace. Mr. Obama ought to put a stop to it now, before this kind of talk intensifies.
22. The Palestinians want peace ?!
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.30.13)
The only persons who believe that is Livni,Kerry and co. The Palestinians don't they believe they can get land "bit by bit" They could be right with Livni and the Left
23. Well If Livni thinks the US
KK   (07.30.13)
The US will embark by assisting Israel attacking Iran.. Silly woman if that she assumes . The worse thing BB did,is taking her in his cabinet. I was furious, still am & very disappointed with him. What possessed him going down that road a PUZZLE.
24. Exercise in futility.
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (07.31.13)
and, stupidity. EQUALITY= KEEP BUILDING !!!!!!!
