There never was an independent country with that name. Israel existed long before the arabs tried using that name for an identity, so how can Israel be the occupier?

I've been writing that the Pals really don't want a "state". They know it will fail, so it's best to put conditions out there that they know Israel will not accept. No peace no war, continue getting freebees. All the "Big Guys" keep their jobs and nobody gets hurt. Really Sarah, I'm surprised at you for not figuring this out.

Oh, I figured it out long ago. I also figured out (long ago) that the ersatz "Palestinians" hope to seamlessly transition themselves to supplant Israel. It will never happen, of course, but not for lack of trying on the part of the ersatz "Palestinians." The ersatz "Palestinians" are, for one thing, hopelessly enmeshed in internecine conflict. Scorpions in a bottle. For another thing, they lack the cohesion and cooperation necessary to actually build anything positive. That's why they have been dependent upon Israel's generosity and largesse -- and remarkable tolerance for ersatz "Palestinian" violence and terror. The fact of the matter is that the international community and any number of international philanthropic organizations have thrown more money at the ersatz "Palestinians" than has been directed to any other identifiable group. What do the ersatz "Palestinians" have to show for it? Not a damned thing. Not a single, damned thing. They'll never have a state. They cannot sustain one. Violence and terror is what gives purpose and meaning to their extraordinarily pathetic existence. The fact of the matter is that were they not constantly inventing and reinventing hostilities against the Jewish people, they would have been ignored by the international community a very long time ago. No one really supports the ersatz "Palestinians." They're a known commodity. On the other hand, everyone is well aware of Israel's accomplishments. Part dread, part jealousy and a considerable amount of hatred. The world cannot understand why it is that Am Israel and Eretz Israel has not only grown strong and powerful, it has thrived and is in the vanguard of technological and medical innovation. They cannot understand how such a thing can be possible, and it makes them very, very afraid. Justifiably so.

They may not be that anxious to leave. But it certainly seems even handed.
