4. Renewed Talks
Mordechai ,   Beit Shemesh   (07.31.13)
Both of the journalists live in cloud Cookoo land. they seem to have forgotten who won the war! They have tried incessently to make a falsehood into a truth. Israel cannot negotitate with a nonentity! As 242 says the negotiations are to be between States, the Palestianians are neither a State or a Territory. They know it very well and that is why they are so insistant. Israel should ask the World Court or the UN SC to make Jodan and Egypt accept their responsibilities and negotitate secure and recognized borders between them, the land inbetween can be administerd by the local inhabitants but they cannot be a sovergn State as those lands belong to Jordan and Egypt respectively..
5. Jew and Arab Potential Danger
Zechariah   (07.31.13)
Looking at Syria and Lebanon and Egypt Cruel Catastrophic Dangers face Jew Arab and Internationals unless Security and Socioecomic Wellbeing is Established Through Talks.Rigid Ideology Doctrines Will Fail a 1.1 Relistic Flexibility is Vital.
6. Reconciliation
Raoul ,   Israel   (07.31.13)
In any peace deal what is essential is reconciliation between the parties. What makes Mandela so great is that he monumentally touted this mantra. Here not only does this word or concept not arise regarding talks between Israelis and Palestinians but only between Fatah and Hamas and even that reconciliation appears to be Mission Impossible.
7. It is rather telling that in the opening remarks made by Mr.
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.31.13)
Kerry, Mr. Eraqat and Ms. Livni, it was only Ms. Livni who emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence while the Arab representative to the talks continued to place more and more demands. One is, therefore, left with the question: Do the Arabs actually want to achieve an accommodation of peaceful coexistence with the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, or rather do they use the talks, again, to attempt to gain more territorial advantage with toward achieving the goal spelled out in the PLO Charter: an ancestral homeland of the Jewish people without Jews and without a nation-state of this ancient people? Time will tell, of course, but time has been telling all along, and it appears the story hasn't changed, sadly...
8. peace talks,
larry ,   Israel   (07.31.13)
Why doesn't Israel demand the release of Johnathan Pollard , in the prsoner exchange '?????
9. Hudna = All Arab States + All Palestinians
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (07.31.13)
Hudna , a truce, requires All Arab States, All Palestinians on the Arab side, and long term security for the Jewish State.....Anything less is a total sham :...waste of time Even such a Hudna is practically almost impossible to achieve. However, parties can but try. Peace is in reality unattainable till the Koran is can be modified That will not happen in our life time What we might see, is a biblical scale famine and water shortage in Arab Lands .. That might lead to miracles for our time
10. Lets not fall into the same old 'Last Chance Saloon' trap
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (07.31.13)
And the more negotiations are OUT of the Media glare - the better. Palestinians in the West Bank are right to remain distant, ambivalent - but hopeful AND ABOVE ALL - PATIENT and so the negotiators should do well to follow that example Neither must we fall into the Media Trap of always threatening to 'Walk out of the Talks' for this reason or that...The Media LOVE to report failure - especially when it comes to Israel and Palestine...when all of their 'experts' come out of the woodwork to say 'I told you so' Neither must we use the Media to try to promote our demands...because often the Media will simply distort the facts to further their own agendas The road to Israel/Palestine lasting peace is going to long and hard..its not going to happen overnight - BUT PERSISTENCE WILL PAY Inshallah
11. Freeing Mass Murderers Appeases Israel's Enemies
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (07.31.13)
I think the fact that the heroes of Israel's enemies are mass murderers/terrorist are a good indication of who exactly Israel is dealing with. I think it's a travesty of justice to free mass murderers.
