1. What is foreign worker?
(08.02.13)
I'm a resident in Israel. I have an orange teudat zeut (temporary resident). I have the same rights as an Israeli citizen except I can't vote for the Knesset. I'm a Western European. Is this being a foreign worker? How does misrad hapnim define who's a foreign worker/resident and who's not? How many foreigners are we in Israel? A more developed article would be appreciated.
2. Foreign workers important
Ethan Schwartz ,   Eilat   (08.03.13)
Foreign workers allow Israeli employers to continue paying Israel subminimum pay and treating them like slaves. We need foreign workers to make the rich richer.
3. Dangerous
Oleh Chadash ,   Y'layim, IL   (08.04.13)
Foreign workers whom are here since 1995... DANGEROUS like crazy. I'm pretty sure they're not intending to leave, why should they, you'd say. Give them a year to leave and 'replenish' them with new ones (enough are willing to come), then every one will receive only a 5 year VISA. Simply to dangerous to let them stay and through that, 'Israelize'.

show me some Yisraelim or some olim that even WANT to do farmhand labor (by the way, it is NOT unskilled), then we'll talk about getting rid of the Thais. Show me some Yisraeliot or Ohliot that you would trust to take care of your grandma, then we'll talk about getting rid of the Filipinits. Show me some Yisraelim or olim that aren't scared of real work, then we'll get rid of the Bulgarian welders who are building the natural gas platforms. So you see, you're full of soup.
5. This is a tragedy
(08.04.13)
More foreign workers came in than olim, especially Jewish olim.

You are legal. You are allowed to work here. You are not a citizen so you dont vote. You are allowed to remain in Israel for a certain time, your orange temp resident book needs to be stamped by the Ministry of Interior, giving you a certain period of time to remain in Israel, if you request an extention to remain in Israel like for 3-6 months. Eventually you will either have to leave Israel or apply for permanent residency. Foreign workers are brought to Israel to work for a certain period of time. Alot of them have over-stayed their time & remain in Israel illegally.
