I have written to my Representative in US Congress, urging to vote in favor of moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem. This move should have happened in 1995 but nblame must rest upon Presidents Clinton, Bush, and now, even Obama. All three used privilege to temporarily waive approval. This one Yea or Nay will clearly show whether our country supports the State of Israel; or not

in Scriptures includes a recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel by the world community. The USA is not the world community, so recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's Capital and moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem is not as significant as if the United Nations recognized Jerusalem as Israel's Capital. Isaiah the Prophet speaks of an attack on Jerusalem in the latter days of Gentile world rule which is now in this present age. The attack will leave the mighty men (IDF) dead, the women raped and bald (nuclear attack effect) and the children dashed against the walls. The attack will be allowed because of three things that upset YHWH so much He will not protect His beloved Jerusalem. Flaunting sodomy (there was a gay pride parade in Jerusalem last week), women with wanton eyes (wanton eyes sent an Israeli President to prison), and cheating the poor. So a US Embassy in Jerusalem needs an atomic proof bomb shelter. Will Tel Aviv be attacked, too? The Prophet Zechariah said 2/3 of Israel will die in the latter days from war, famine, disease, and wild beasts. So, yes, having the US Embassy in Tel Aviv is a danger, too. One who agrees with the Lord that Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel is better than not recognizing that.

Why do they need new legislation?There is the existing one from 1995, and it is only the different Presidents since then, including Obama, who have kept vetoing this every six months.

Is it the proper timing of Iran and of dicto-regimes world wide or is it the proper timing of terrorist bombers of innocents upon our own soil? It's a kind of arrogance to deny steadfast friends a trifle of regognition. A host of nations would have followed suit if the USA had made the move in 1995, today sadly far less becuase of the far left.

The difference is that this new law would not allow for "waivers" based upon "national security reasons", that all presidents since Clinton have used to prevent the move of the embassy.

Before Yerushalaiim is considered a candidate to be THE capital of Israel, by the U.S. and many other countries, it is necessary to curb the Haredi disobedience of country's laws. Nowhere is it more blatant than in the city's Haredi neighborhoods. Israeli police is doing very little to control it. Shape up or Yerushalaiim will never be THE capital.

Counterintuitively the quicker they do the quicker peace will come to Israel and Palestine

When President Harry Truman recognised the State of Israel, he did so in spite of the US State Department [Foreign Office] and his own Presidential Cabinet. We need a similar act of 'giluoi haShechina' [Divine Providence] now!

Jerusalem can have several layers of governance, one for local 'boroughs' and one city wide administration, with IDF security. Would you be happy to see a Hamas takeover in East Jerusalem as happened in Gaza? East Jerusalem is only mainly Arab because the Jordanians forced the Jews out in 1948. By 1850 Jerusalem was a predominantly Jewish city

Most people reconcile Prophecy with free will by noting that Prophecy is conditional, e.g. if you transgress moral prohibitions the Land will vomit you out. IF you turn back, however, this will be averted. The focus on Repentance seems to mean the destruction can be averted. Opposing the division of Jerusalem can be seen as part of that Repentance. I wouldn't wait for the UN!

Whatever Congress says, foreign affairs are part of the President's role, as the Court recently reminded us in the case of passports being allowed to say 'Jerusalem, Israel'.

The biggest chance for this to happen may be after 4 years.

All holy places under Israeli rule give access to people of all faiths...except the Temple Mount. Go talk to the arabs about that one, you dimwit.

Jerusalem is Israel’s capital. Period. It has nothing to do with agreeing with or not agreeing with those who live there. As it has nothing to do with recognition. Recognition would be appreciated, but it would not change the fact.

It is necessary and important that the embassy be moved because following history, biblical and otherwise Jerusalem will remain undivided Israel capital. This is not for America only but all nations having embassies in Israel.

So, there have been 36 Presidential 'postponements' in the last 18 years. Maybe Congress should just amend the law to remove the 'postponement' clause! I don't think that even these Congressmen REALLY want to do it. Just more grandstanding by the lying deceivers in both our governments, like the passage of the original law in 1995.

Harry Truman did recognize the nation of Israel but he drew a line across the recognization as a jewish state. I do not know of any changes later in the USA recognizatiion of the nation of Israel.

Nations from ALL around the world refuse to recognise all of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and with good reason too. Dream on that it will ever happen, but especially not now while negotiations are happening. E.Jerusalem will be the capitol of Palestine!

And the sovereign nation of Israel , the Jewish state is part of this. I am sure the surrounding states are also included.
