1. Solution to the problem
Doug ,   U.S.   (08.04.13)
Open up the gates and let in more and more Africans.
2. Time to demolish southern TA
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (08.04.13)
The real estate tycoons have always desired an expansion into Southern TA. I bet the real estate prices have collapsed there. Time to demolish those neighborhoods. Buy them out. The Sudanese and Eritraens need to be sent home ASAP. The druggies need to be sent to rehab centers around the country. The buildings need to be bought out and demolished. I have a sneeking suspicion this was the tycoons plans all along. Cause real estate prices to drop to the bottom and then buy and demolish. WELL? Get on with it already will ya..
3. What a colorful neighborhood..
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (08.04.13)
Decapitated dismembered body in a suitcase...Lovely. Reminds me of stories from NY when I used to live there. Are you happy TA? You have come full circle. You are now a %110 imitation of NYC, must make the sycophantic lefties happy. I would not shed a tear if a nuke were to fall on TA, I really wouldn't.
4. obviously, the police are being paid off
bob ,   baltimore, usa   (08.04.13)
in stories like this, the police are always being paid off by the crime families behind the drugs---find the link and start dealing with the problem--and send the illegals packing.
5. THE MAYOR
(08.04.13)
Where is the gay mayor to resolve the situation? Maybe he likes Sodom and Gomorrah?
6. Bravo Israel
Gabriel ,   Tel Aviv   (08.04.13)
Bravo Israel!!! Kol HaKavod
7. #3 Dror
Martin N.   (08.04.13)
["I would not shed a tear if a nuke were to fall on TA"] First they came... Extremists like Dror don't distinguish between external and domestic enemies. It's just a question of time and opportunity.
8. #5 inappropriate comment
Yoni ,   ISR   (08.04.13)
FYI I am gay and i run a company employing over 250 and yes including harideem, your comment not only shows your lack of intelligence but also highlights your homophobic tendencies and as any good psycharist will tell you we all know where that comes from. Homophobia kills , 35% of teenage suicides are gay youngsters who are made to feel worthless because of people such as yourself, im sure you must be very proud of yourself picking on others who because they were born with same sex orientation that does not fit in with your religious beliefs gives you the right to spread slander and hatred, Lets just hope that one of your children will be born gay.
9. #3 Dror you are 100% right- razs S Tel Aviv!
Rachel ,   US   (08.04.13)
10. View of American olay in South Tel Aviv
Kevin ,   Hatekva, south Tel A   (08.04.13)
I made Aliyah from America a few years ago and live in Hatekva in south Tel Aviv. I find it a very intresting place. People here are not indifferent and uncaring but feel powerless to change the situation here. If we try we are accused if being racist of trouble makers ect... I think it is tel aviv as a whole that neglects the south. They push any problems in their area to us and do everything they can to keep it out of their view. It is the responsibility of the city to maintain and clean and secure the area around the main bus station and everywhere else in the south so before you get high and mighty and accuse us of being indifferent and uncaring, look in the mirror first
11. A bit harsh, don't you think?
Imshin ,   Tel Aviv   (08.04.13)
We're actually real people living here in Tel Aviv, not stereotypes. My daughters have go throught these areas regularly and it's very scary. The main danger is actually not the drug dealers but the African community. There is a lot of violence and a lot of rape that doesn't interest the media unless it's Israelis against Africans.
12. Weiner for TA Mayor
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (08.04.13)
We need Weiner to be the Mayor of TA, he would fit in perfectly. In Israel's modern day Sodom and Gomorah jerk offs like Weiner are a dime a dozen, but he is an especially special Weiner head that would arouse and excite TA's shmocks. TA is one big diseased prostitute and Weiner is just the man to penetrate the inner workings of this prostitute and lift her spirits with extra Weiner mustard sauce.
13. like it or not
ky   (08.04.13)
This is the reality of the free world. Zionism is only another form of nationalism and it offers no magic cure for what affects every other city The problem is some people , both Jew and Arab see an opportunity to make money and exploit those who are vulnerable.
14. Now do you understand why the USA wants TA to be the capital
observer   (08.04.13)
15. No, Israel is not a 3third world country!
Israeli ,   look at yourself!   (08.04.13)
Israel is paradise. It's Gan Eden. Isn't it?
16. Body in suitcase
John Smith ,   UK   (08.04.13)
Just a couple of weeks ago a body was found in a suitcase in Hendon london .In a good area where lots of mothers and children were walking.
17. it was clean
Ex oleh chadash   (08.04.13)
I remember TA Central Bus Station in 1996, when I first came to Israel as a tourist. It was a clean place. It was a mall, like Jerusalem Central Bus Station is today. Why did you let this happen? Not good to the city.
18. The truth
Sarah ,   Rehovot   (08.04.13)
is that the photos could be from any Israeli city - with the exception of places such as Herzliya, Ramat HaSharon, etc. Israelis litter and trash their cities because they never learn how to respect property or anything in general. Stop trying to blame the African immigrants for all of your woes - the problem is much deeper. The Africans are not given any real chance at life in Israel. Stop pointing fingers and start looking at yourselves!
19. Sarah in Rehovot
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (08.04.13)
Southen TA is not like Haifa, I can vouch for this. Even the bad areas of Haifa are not as neglected and trashed as Southern TA. I would have to say that aside from Jerusalem's beauty and uniquiness Haifa is a very well kept and beautiful city. Our only drawbacks are the chemical plants and the refinery that cause so much pollution. I live on the beachside of Haifa and I cannot complain. The air is clean and the beach is beautiful. The roads are good, access to whatever you need shopping wise is also very good. Haifa has more than enough good restaraunts, culture, scenery, great quality of life. People in Haifa actually take respect in their city. The Arab Israelis in their Haifa neighborhoods take pride in the city and make it very touristy and attractive to visit. Haifa is for the most part a better city than TA in my opinion.
20. demolish south Tel Aviv?
chana abraham ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.04.13)
Its not so easy, this neighbourhods are cheap (2tousend for a one-room-flat) its not only this area, its Hatikva, Shapira, Florentin too, I live in Florentin and from my pension I can only rent a "flat" like this, if there are no mor divided rooms, then I become homeless
21. @5 the Mayor is worrying about buses on Shabbat.
jrebecca ,   modiin   (08.04.13)
22. @8 I think you just #5 point - a long post all about gays
jrebecca ,   modiin   (08.04.13)
and not a word about the situation in South Tel Aviv. I really dont mind if you want to be gay or whatever, but all too often, gays are obsessed by their sexual orientation, to the detriment of other problems around them.
23. :^(
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.04.13)
24. Not just South Tel Aviv
Ben ,   Tlv   (08.04.13)
Although S. Tel Aviv is by far still the worst, but the infiltrators are moving toward central Tel Aviv. They are now hanging out on Rothchild blvd and just yesterday I caught one near Nehalat Bimaynim trying to break into a parked vehicle at 9 am. He saw me, got on his bike and sped off. We work so hard to be able to afford an apartment here and now its becoming unsafe.
25. 24
Birdi ,   Israel   (08.04.13)
Stop paying your Iria bills. All of you people of TA, stand united, dont pay the Iria. Protest in front of the mayor's office. September 1st, dont send your kids to school. Every single citizen of TA needs to stand their ground. Complaining wont help, action will.
26. This is Israel.
Rubbish   (08.05.13)
27. Razing won't help
Neal ,   Minneapolis USA   (08.05.13)
Razing a rundown area won't help by itself, because the unfortunates who people it simply will move elsewhere. My city razed its several-block "Skid Row" 60 years ago and only in the past few years has it begun to refill with stores, offices, art galleries and well-off residents. Meantime, several other parts of this area's two, next-door central cities have been revived by [mostly] young couples willing to invest a lot of labor and no small amount of money in rehabilitating rundown houses and buildings. But the indigent, the addicted, and the criminals simply went elsewhere. The real need is to rehabilitate people, which is costly, time consuming and art best partially successful. But the successes reduce the burden and the blight for everyone.
28. #21 Jrebecca- ever heard of democracy
Haim ,   TA   (08.05.13)
Im sorry did anyone ask you to drive buses on Shabbat? People are free to lead their lives as they wish withing the bounds of the law, you cannot and will not enforce religious laws on non belivers. i suggest you look up the word democracy !
29. To Birdi at 25
Ben ,   TLV   (08.05.13)
Most of our neighbors are actually not bothered by them, they say its part of city living and that they are humans also and not all bad. I've tried calling police and writing letters to the commissioner so I'm not just complaining, yet it is only getting worse not better. Only when a government official is violated will our voices become heard.
30. What's the difference
lol   (08.05.13)
between TA and Detroit? Both are trash. But at Detroit you can buy a home for just US$ 1,00 - one dollar.
