1. Hezbollah is watching your every move...
Marco ,   Spain   (08.07.13)
Hezbollah will take the Northern most settlements in the next confrontation...You will have to say goodbye to Kiryat Shmona in the next conflict...
2. make no mistake
adil ,   the hague, holland   (08.08.13)
Hezbollah is stronger than ever and their losses in syria are only minimal; 140 kia so far which is very low. plus they gained a lot of fighting experience by going after fsa (israel's best buddies) elements in syria. they already were the strongest guerilla army on earth and now they are even more supreme. to be honest, idf should consider themselves to be very Lucky they have a strong air force, because idf ground forces are really not that strong. Hezbollah is superior on the ground. be very afraid, this is not hamas.
3. wrong
ray   (08.08.13)
"Every war is measured by the period of calm it provides until the next war breaks out" - that's only if you win each and every single war. but if you lose once, they will slaughter you all ruthlessly and mercilessly. dont be so naive
4. Trading Tel Aviv for Beirut
george ,   United States   (08.08.13)
This is what is responsible for the period of calm since the Israeli defeat in 2008 Deterrence Works!
5. 1 marco same thing will happen to Andalusia (Spain)
In a few decades   (08.08.13)
6. 2 your name speaks volumes about you

7. # 2 , Hizbollah
Jewish immigrant ,   Gush, Israel   (08.08.13)
Hizbollah is waging guerilla wars hiding between civilians. That makes them disgusting and TYPICAL 'arab fighters', not 'experienced, well trained soldiers'. We're to soft on Hizbollah, a next time we should bomb these villages after warning EVERYBODY to get out. Geen genade met terroristen.
8. #1, absolutely false
Ed ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.08.13)
Hezbollah doesn't have the manpower to 'take' any settlements, let alone hold them off against massive IDF retaliation. At most they can execute short incursions like they did in the 06' ambush on Regev/Goldwassers border patrol.
9. Hezbollah vs Israel
Adam H ,   USA   (08.08.13)
The big advantage on the side of Hezbollah is their lack of concern for human life -- the lives of Lebanese nor of Israelis, while the IDF is constrained by fear of UN condemnation, etc. However if there are significant Israeli civilian casualties I have no doubt that constraints will be lifted and not only will Israel prevail but the Lebanese civilians used as human shields will pay a heavy price.
10. HOW ISRAEL WILL RESPOND
ADAM ,   CHICAGO   (08.08.13)
DEPENDS ON #1 if Israel is willing to forget about the united nations europe and the united states and target for full effect any enemy in missle in any civilian populated town. fight the war as ww2 was fought. there will be a swift end to arab rockets. israel is a regional superpower and the new generation of arabs have never experienced a full idf onslaught #2 option fight to keep the world happy and expect many israeli civilian deaths .i will venture to say that option 1 will be used before aone israeli town is captured by these 2nd rate arab fighters they may be good agenst one another not the same outcome fighting a determed idf that is second to none
11. #3 right , the calm is brought by hizbollah not Israel.
Geo ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
Before the Israeli were the only who decide about the calm period for the Lebanese civilian. Now with Hezbollah deterrence they have to think about the calm period to their citizens as well
12. Prevention
(08.08.13)
I pray that its just political rhetoric and no war breaks out 'tomorrow.'
13. @2: adil
FH ,   Austria   (08.08.13)
oh really, they are so strong, then why do they have to hide between their wifes and children?
14. # 1 - Maybe you should become a comedian at Spanish TV?
(08.08.13)
Hizbollah fighters are dying like flies in Syria, so good luck with the IDF, which has satellites in space, nuclear weapons and allegedly the 4th or 5th largest air force in the world and a total amount of tanks exceeding that of Germany, UK and France combined. Your statement is simply your personal hot wet (anti-Semitic) dream of having Israel and Jews destroyed. We know that you are a Jew hater Marco. And having Hizbollah invading Israel is not exactly friendly or peaceful and its not exactly "self defense". Not even the combined military strenght of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia was enough to defeat Israel for the past 65 years since 1948, so how do you imagine that Hizbollah would defeat Israel? Why is Hizbollah provoking Israel now? Duh - it takes no genious to figure out why - Iran wants peace and quiet to build nukes and Hassan Rohani and Ayatollah Khamenei want to keep Israel busy by having IDF fighting Hizbollah. Allegedly Iran will finish its nuke program by 2014 so Iran obviously needs time to keep the program going without interruptions - that's why Iran has ordered Hizbollah to provoke Israel at this point of time. However, if Israel wants to turn Lebanon and Hizbollah into a parking lot for camels and donkeys, Israel will certainly do so.
15. they want war...give it to them NOW
les ,   canada   (08.08.13)
hizbo will determine when the next war starts....a wonderful recipe to loose a war. hit them now, and hit them with a OVERWHELMING FORCE!
16. The terror state of Iran must be taken out
CJK   (08.08.13)
as long as the regime of the islamic republic is allowed to rule iran, its terror proxies hezbollah, hamas, islamic jihad will flourish and israel will not know peace. peace to israel will come when the shia terror entity and its nuclear weapons program are destroyed.
17. #1 Marco
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.08.13)
You are a moron. Hezbollah can't even beat other Arabs - taking us on well let's just say it would be about the same as Spain trying something that stupid.
18. here is what must be done
CJK   (08.08.13)
israel cannot allow hezbollah to determine when the war begins; that determination must be made by israel, the prime minister, the defence minister and carried out by TZAHAL. the war against hezbollah must end in the defeat of hezbollah regardless of what obama and the eu want. the idea of a proportional war was invented by left wing lunatics who have never fought in a war. if hezbollah hides among civilians and if hezbollah hides its missiles and other weapons among civilians, then most unfortunately, some of those civilians will be harmed. hezbollah, the terror proxy of the shia terror entity, must be defeated.
19. Marco the Moron #1
X'   (08.08.13)
In the next war Israel will be damaged but intact. Lebanon, Syria and Iran on the other hand will be flat, black, devoid of human life and glowing in the dark. Kyriat Shmona will still be inhabited by Jews but most of Lebanon will be a mass grave.
20. of course hezbollah is markiing israeli positions
jerzy   (08.08.13)
This is not new. Hezbollah forces are dug in, well trained, well motivated via brainwashing using israeli tactics that they adopt, and have confidence since nasrollah outperformed the miserable duo of olmert and halutz with an asymmetric strategy. now that yaalon is in place, idf should be putting in place asymemtric dirty tactics and first of all keep the press out cause there will be casualties that the bleedinghearts of haaretz and peres cannot stomach-oh my god respondse- white flag of ceasefire. Human shields should be used where possible. The underground bunkers should be neutralized with gas. All fuel in lebanon feeding hezbollah should be blown up as well as their gas stations, power plants, generators. Israelis should go in only hours after softening up and tractors should should be detonating all the ieds and mines that surround their postions. Nasrollah and his top group should be eliminated like hitler. Yaalon will do the right thing.
21. Lebanese are finally seeing Hezbollah as a threat
Alan ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
In the last few days three Lebanese leaders have dared to publicly chastised Hezbollah for its intervention in the Syrian civil war against Sunni Muslims & as a result bringing sectarian instability & strife in Lebanon. All this contrary to Hizbollah long standing claim to existence as "resistance" to Israel. Those daring leaders are President Sleiman & Christian leader Geaga in Lebanonn as well as Hariri (from a safer place in Saudi Arabia). What would the Lebanese & their army do should Hezbollah lead their country into an unprovoked war which Israel has warned it would regard the Lebanese state as responsible & liable to much less restrained retaliation than in 2006? Hizbollah's tunnels & other weapons caches, their command posts may not be so secure in a conflict disapproved by a large part of the population fearing complete destruction of their country.
22. DESPITE HEAVY LOSSES.......................
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (08.08.13)
Hezbollah continues to monitor IDF movements. What the hell are we talking about? What losses are we talking about. The other day it was known military source that admitted Hezbollah's professional approach in retaking strategic areas in Syria from the the outside(state sponsored) terrorists. Are we to understand that the writer thought that Hezbollah is exhausted in helping Syria. You must be joking
23.  Marco the spaniard ! Long time no see,
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.08.13)
Where were you, helping your friends in Pakistan,Afganistan,shia-suni in Iraq,Hezbolla -Syria,nobody missed you,a great number of spaniards are antisemites,no vonder their economy is in a mess,a mind full of hatred can't reason.
24. 2 adil. make no mistake,
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (08.08.13)
2006, Nasaralla : I made a mistake, starting the war,( he didn't consult Israel,as of how she will react) hezbolla lost 25 % of it's manpower, this time the game will be different,a gun firing from a hospital on a hospital, by international law can be destroyed, and the people of Lebanon know this,so it's unlikely that the shrewd nasaralla will start another war,but his masters in Iran may think differently.
25. hezzies should be careful what they
Barney ,   USA   (08.08.13)
wish for. Israel will not always go to war with one arm tied behind their back. If I remember correctly it was the lebanon guy crying on tv for Israel to stop. hezzies will start crap until lebanon destroyed. what do they have to lose. they are a parasite and lebanon is the host.
26. #1 #4
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (08.08.13)
#1 and then your friends will send Sinora to cry in UN? How can the bunker guy win the ar from the basement? #4 so destroying half of Beirut and getting the iranian admitting the lost, you consider Israeli defeat?
27. marco 1
Arthur ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
its only a matter of time before Spain will be turned back to the 7th Century. you need to worry less about Israel and more about Spain
28. #4 George, you got it right.Israeli will count till 100 if
Geo ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
not more before thinking about any aggression toward Lebanon now. This insident got them again in surprise.
29. The people of Lebanon
Mickey ,   Los Angeles, USA   (08.08.13)
need to really consider that they are harboring their death sentence. If they think for a second that a desperate Israel will not destroy ever square inch of their nation the next time they need to think again. If I were Prime Minister of Israel, the carpet bombing would be already in session. They are lucky Israel cares a little bit about wholesale slaughter not occurring. But they are stupid if they think they will get away with this. Assad is going to be sorry if he drags Israel into his bloody clampdown. The saddest thing is that innocents on both sides will die.
30. #1 Marco
Bill Stein ,   USA   (08.08.13)
I was in the 73 war where hundreds of thousands of soldiers involved Hizboullah is small fry even if you take a few villages for a day or two Israel will win and. Take. South Lebanon and this time pernamently. By the way those tunnels your digging to invade as per WND articles are easy targets
