1. More housing in Judea and Samaria
Stan ,   Sydney, Australia   (08.08.13)
I guess there must have been an election in Israel that no one has heard about. Your article refers to a rightist government -- when was that voted in 'cause it certainly ain't the one led by Bibi.
2. Building
Elygoldart ,   Minnesota USA   (08.08.13)
Shorten the process, give a quick green light & keep building. Annex the land Israel won honestly from Jordan in 1967. The peace (PIECE) process going on right now is just wasted talk & even if it is restarted 100 more times it will be wasted, because the Jordanians living in the so called west bank only want to destroy Israel forever & that will never happen.
3. Shame on you Israel
(08.08.13)
And shame on the Israeli leaders who certainly do not want peace ! Israel has just proven the world (again) that it does not want peace with the palestinians. Don't come and cry about BDS and antisemitism after because you certainly deserve every bit of it !
4. Shalom to Shalom
Mendoza ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (08.08.13)
5. Shame on # 3
Morty Moooze ,   Montreal, Canada   (08.08.13)
Building more settlements is in response the Islamic fomented BDS and anti-Jewish hysteria ! ! !
6. #3 Who needs "peace" when the status quo is works just fine?

7. Very good news, indeed. Sadly, the building of homes for....
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.08.13)
...Jews at the heart of the Jewish people's ancestral homeland is still news...
8. Settlement
Mohamad ,   Emawas   (08.08.13)
I am Palestinian, and as much as I like peace as much as I am not optimistic. The two sides just started talking and Israel is building more and taking away more. Israel have to decide what to do either give some or nothing and they can do either since they are strong now but might not be the case in the future; USA might get tired of supporting Israel blindly. For the PA it is a humiliation move to accept today's decision, and they should give up all relation with Israel security and have the Israeli's take control off all West Bank area. and let time e thing for better or worse
9. Netanyahu the Coward
Taxpayer ,   Hod Hasharon   (08.08.13)
Bibi does not have the courage to tell the world that Israel will build in the land of Israel, nor the courage to tell the right wing that he is giving peace a chance and therefore he is freezing. He also does not have the intelligence to understand that Israle cannot afford to be the party to blame for the end of the peace process. Bibi - please god this is you last shot at it - try and be a leader rather than a sheep.
10. israelis just can't be trusted. Whiners
US First   (08.08.13)
and liners. Other will never be peace with israel. Negotiation with israel is waste of time, they openly declare that their vows, promises, agreement are null and void the moment they make it. Google "kol nicer"
11. to # 9
jennifer ,   jerusalem, Israel   (08.08.13)
Thank G-D you're not running the government! As we have seen in the past, giving away land, releasing terrorists, just teaches the arabs that terror works! We must stop putting our heads in the sand, we must be brave and say to the world that Eretz Yisroel belongs to Am Yisroel-meaning that non-Jews do not have any right to own our land!
12. Bwahahaha
David ,   San Diego   (08.08.13)
Oh God, you have to be kidding me! Before negotiations even get going, Israel decides to yet again slap everyone across the face, especially the US. Israel just proved once again its lack of a sincere negotiations. Now every nation on earth is looking at Abbas and saying "You were right." We just need to accept that there is going to be one bi-national state.
13. Future graveyard
M ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
We are digging our own grave. This must stop immediately if we want to have any diplomatic relations with other nations and security inside Israel.
14. #12
Sam SM ,   UK   (08.08.13)
'Sincere negotiations' presumably means to retreating behind the '67 lines and as as the case with gaza face a terrorist onslaught while relinquishing a large part of the ancestral land of the Jewish people. First of all there isn't going to be a bi-national state. Israel is a Jewish state and that is not going to change. The best course of action is to annex area c, granting palestinian residents Israeli citizenship and leave the rest of the west bank to fester under palestinian authority control - though how long before the islamic facists take over? - as a chaotic, corrupt and brutal dictatorship just like the rest of the arab world.
15. #13. Judea and Samaria ARE the future!
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
Anyone who asks Israel to give up her rights is not a true friend. Israel's legal ownership of Judea and Samraia is so incontrovertible that even the P.A. won't debate it; as M.K. Danny Ayalon challented them to. It is incredibly easy to prove Israeli ownership of Judea and Samaria to any fair minded person. Israel needs to claim her rights. Not surrender them to genocidal terrorists. Judea and Samaria ARE the future!
16. The government will not approve this. They are not idiots.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.08.13)
17. Just a PR move
Mohammad   (08.08.13)
I have a feeling that it is just a PR move, and later on Israel will plan to go forward with building the 800 houses
18. to #8
John ,   Netherlands   (08.08.13)
very well said. I wish people like you were in power!! Emptyheaded people who are just in government for themselves are bringing the existance of Israel as a jewish state in danger and are humiliating and frustrating the Palestians. This will have a bad end for both, but most for the Israeli state. They do not understand that Europe is moving away and that the USA is starting to do the same.
19. No, 18
Joe Fraser   (08.08.13)
EU is not a player, and Israel has solid support in the US Congress. It is time for the world to stop treating the Arabs in the area as children and hold them accountable for their actions, and make them accept the reality that the war is lost and now they must accept terms which are not as favorable to them as they would like.
20. Chaim, Clausevitz wouldn't strategise like you do.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.08.13)
You shouldn't continue with things you have no idea about, like military strategy, history, psychology, not even the Ten Commandments. By the way, did you ever hear of the Ten Commandments?
21. Added settlements in the West Bank
Will Galeson ,   Oakland USA   (08.09.13)
If the govt of Israel would agree not to destroy homes or infastructure if the buildings are evacuated following a Peace agreement with the Palestinians, then I believe the Palestinians would come stronger to the Peace Table. Not like Gaza.
