I am one of Leonard Cohen's biggest fans and was lucky to get tickets for the concert in Israel. They went so quickly that many people I know didn't get to see him. It makes me sad that he gave numerous concerts everywhere, including Germany, and yet he only appeared in Israel once (this time round). Now maybe there is a good reason - threats about appearing in Israel, problems dealing with the Israeli organizers and/or sponsors, and so forth. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'm (just very slightly) less crazy about him than I used to be.

liked Cohen.
He is nauseating as a supposed performer.
He sounds doped out and whines endlessly about nothing.
Really how many time can you whine about 'Suzanne take me down to the river'?
He has been endlessly promoted by the Canadian Government as a sample of Canadian culture.
He is very weak as a performer.
