4. Is Israeli government actually getting a little gutsy?
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
I hope we see a lot more evidence that Israel's leaders are finally getting their mojo back. Israelis are fed up with gutless wimps in the Knesset.
5. #1. Germany supports Europe & even it is in trouble.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.08.13)
#1. But seriously. Many E.U. nations besides Greece are flirting with bankruptcy. Germany is practically supporting Europe and even it is in trouble. Only a total ignoramus would call Israel's economy "Third World". Israel has more companies listed on the high tech Nasdaq than any other state except the U.S.
6. We have power in this relationship.
A Simple Jew ,   Beer Sheva   (08.08.13)
Israel can make the EU and the PA the first casualties in this economic war. First, Israel can impose a counter boycott on the PA, as Israel is the PA's largest trading partner. Second it can bar the EU from any contact with the PA, embargo exports and imports between the EU and the PA, etc. Israel can withhold the billion dollars a year in PA taxes it collects. Well, you get the idea.
7. #1 You must be confused
Rachel ,   US   (08.08.13)
Are you talking about bailout Europe: Greece, Portugal, Spain, basket case France?
8. Netanyahu will not sign deals with EU
Harold ,   USA   (08.08.13)
This means Netanyahu will stop exporting 73 percent of its total goods to Europe.
9. #1 you would be surprised at the scientific and

Tecno breakthroughs in defense and civilian, that we can withhold from selling or sharing. True we are small but we have quality ! Good things come in small packages!
10. #6 perfect, stop all money etc. transferts
Daniel ,   EU   (08.08.13)
from the EU to greater Israel and start to take care of your country and your people on your own. Sorry, but I don't see any benefit in spending my tax money for Israelis or Palestinians.
11. In the next few years...
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.08.13)
... Israel will have the displeasure of dealing with a totally Islamic influenced EU. How will Israel deal with Eurostan? Will it be comfortable sharing its science and technology with them? Because by then, the hatred and animosity towards Israel will be several times amplified. Israel needs to be preparing for that from now because there is no turning back from the Islamisation of Europe.
12. #1
Oleg ,   Canada   (08.08.13)
The entire concept of EU and Euro is deeply flawed. Even V. Lenin (not my favourite guy by any stretch) had written an article "About the slogan of United States of Europe" many decades ago. He stated that EU is impossible entity to be able to function properly. Based on what I see with PIGS countries, Italy, France, I don't see the future of Europe as too bright. So Israel's attention should switch to Asia.

Oleg ,   Calgary   (08.08.13)
Daniel, I don't see Israel is getting any money from EU. It does from US, but US is also getting a lot, which is not necessarily published openly. Palestinian - different story. They are getting money from everywhere. And therefore I don't think they are interested in their state. They prefer free cheques to come, otherwise they will stop.
14. excellent decision
CJK   (08.08.13)
it is about time that israel telsl the arrogant jew hating euros that israel will no longer collude in their many, ongoing attempts to bully and humiliate the jewish state.
15. If Germany...
Walt K ,   Sherbrooke, Canada   (08.08.13)
Express to some countries of Europe to give its money ; if Russia cuts the oil supplies ; if China takes its due... EU is doomed... and sooner or later the ancient african collonised will get their revenge. Ha, Ha, Ha, Europe the great lesson provider.
16. #1. Correction: EU's stagnated economy verses
A ,   Belgium   (08.08.13)
Israels' projected growth of 3.5% in 2013 (the EU: "GDP growth is projected to turn positive gradually in the second half of the year"), meaning, Europes' "giant economy" as you call it, is still in the sh*t.. seriously.
17. #8 Wrong, Harold
A ,   Belgium   (08.08.13)
It means Bibi will not allow European "agencies" to stick their noses into places where they don't belong. As you are so adept at doing.

Father Abe   (08.08.13)
Fanatics.
19. #16 Israel is doing very well,
,   (08.08.13)
that's true - at the moment. But the long term outlook is not good. Israel's demographic development is going into the wrong direction, with a fast growing (none productive) ultra-orthodox population. How many decades will it take until they make up the majority? It is de facto inevitable.
20. Does anyone still believe in the word of Netanyahu?
(08.08.13)
The weakling also said he would not release terrorists from Israeli prisons if Pollard were not also released from U.S. prison. Nu?
21. Posts here are nothing more than Jewish bla-bla...
(08.08.13)
22. No clever move
,   (08.08.13)
Israel has excellent relations with the EU; only Switzerland and Norway are in a similar position. It is not wise of the Israeli government to put these at risk.
23. #15 If the United States
,   (08.08.13)
go down, they will take Canada with them. Even Greece is in a better financial situation than the US, the difference is, Greece can't print its own money; and that's the only thing that keeps the US alive - and Canada.
24. So no more money for the holocaust survivors
(08.08.13)
Great!!!
25. #2 I wouldn't get too excited
,   (08.08.13)
about Asia. Their problems will grow as well. China is ruining its environment, and the Chinese people won't be willing to work for a tiny wage for ever, but being cheap is China's main economic concept. Japan has big economic problems and is getting more and more nationalistic, building carries now... North Korea... India isn't even able to feed its population... Pakistan... Iran... Except Japan, all of them nuclear powers...
26. this is one game
anton ,   istanbul   (08.08.13)
u dont wanna play, netanyahu bluffs his only choice, and eu will call it, in the end house always wins :)
27. #25 correction

Last sentence must be: "Except Japan and Iran, all of them nuclear powers..."
28. Sign agreements with India and China
