2. You forgot to mention that this guy ben-dar
(08.09.13)
offered Russia to train 500 Chechens for free to promote peace in the Middle East. Everyone wants Peace Now.
3. Many questions... was this offer, and how it was proposed
Miron ,   USA   (08.09.13)
real reason behind temporary closure of certain US institutions? Not the last thing I am trying to get at, how does anyone with this sort of manners expects to have any respect?
4. Assad will fall - the Saudis will se to it !.

It's looks like ePoutine became the new Reagan standing agains the the new Stalin ie Obama ,
6. Putin
CJK   (08.09.13)
it must be said that putin does not betray his allies, even if he kills some of his countrymen. obama betrays all of his allies and occasionally kills his countrymen. so, who is the better man?
7. And last but not least comes question regarding 9/11...

8. Maybe Israel can work a deal with Saudi Arabia
Bob   (08.09.13)
If saudi arabia is willing to pay $15 billion for Assad's head, lol.
9. Obama take note!
Israel   (08.09.13)
This is what a true ally and a 'friend' is like. You tell us every other day that Israel is America's 'greatest friend' but your actions have yet to support these words. Love him or hate him, but at least Putin is loyal.
10. If ( and it's practically a given ) Mr. Snowden
Miron ,   USA   (08.09.13)
could prove that surveliance program dated back to times prior to George W. Bush the question comes how much US special services were "really" familiar with nature of Mr. Mohammed Attah and his cell. And this, in turn, needs to be compared with how much was shared with George W. Bush Administration in regards to both, material and effort. Mr. Snowden may or may not posess proof with regards to this simple question. However, now that the quesion is being asked one has to prepare to all sorts of answers and consequences that come with it. And finally, given worst possible answer, regardless, yes or no, whoever threw this challenge down sure ain't showing all of his or her cards. So, "what's next" probably looks like a lot of mashroom clouds. And if I was Mr. Obama I would be on the next plane to Moscow to beat of the stench of this possibility as quickly, as vigorously, and I'd say "AS EMPHATICALLY" as I physically could. And given Airforce 1 at his full personal discretion I do not understand why he is not on it, right now.
11. Moscow rejects offer to drop Assad for arms deal

The Saudi's were trying to buy off the Russians as they have the EU and US. I guess they need to sweeten the pot. How about 15 trillion? Also, we see that the Saudi's would cooperate with the devil to get what they desire. They think this is a bazaar (shuk).
12. #10 Probably too busy playing with his putter

13. I applaud his loyalty, but...
JP ,   TLV/NJ   (08.09.13)
He previously made a statement (when US asked him to drop the deal) something along the lines: 'find another nation that is willing to pay for our old weapons for 4 billion and we won't sell to Syria.' 15 million Saudi is offering is significantly larger amount so what gives???
14. putin is a man with balls
tiger ,   Vienna, Austria   (08.09.13)
and not your typical sellout, giving promises and then turning 180 degrees like mr. hussein obama and russia has luckily enough ressources of their own, they don't need arab oil or investments
15. let's not forget...
(08.09.13)
...how this all started. Obama incited a fake revolution in Libya and then lied to Putin to get a "no fly zone" resolution. Obama then abused the resolution to mount a brutal air attack and special forces invasion to impose a minority jihad government on the innocent people of Libya. Obama tried the same trick in Syria, but this time also gave advanced Libyan weapons to those nice guys who did Beslan. Obama's lies and Chicago style politics work great to get elected, but don't help against the far smarter Putin.

17. It has nothing to do with loyalty...
Edwin ,   Canada   (08.09.13)
...and everything to do with power.
18. if true: Now that's an ally
the mad zionist ,   san francisco   (08.09.13)
the US, specifically Obama should grab a notepad and take notes. the Saudis are trying to trick putin, and most countries would atleast consider the deal. but putin wasn't having any. aside from interests in Syria, which I can't really figure out what the main interests are with Syria, it can't be the little tiny arms deal they gave, and it's not oil. so I'm kinda confused on that, but regardless Putin is displaying loyalty. and thats the biggest interest for Russia. countries looking to make trade agreements and allies, would flock to Russia knowing that they aren't America, where they'll toss you aside like nothing. great call on Putin. that deal was wayyyy to good to be true, and there was no way they can guarantee Russia the influence. Obama, get writing

Thanks... I did. Meant 15 billion.
20. 15 billion dollars can do the job in other ways
dave ,   san fran, USA   (08.09.13)
If the Saudis are willing to spend 15 billion to oust assad, there are easier ways. They could offer the 1000 most senior Syrian soldiers and alawites 15 million dollars each as a bribe to be a guest in Riyadh for one year. Or the top 15000 syrian officials 1 million dollars each.
21. US is trying to walk away from. Middle East
USA   (08.23.13)
I know the Middle East ia big head ache for the USA but can anyone give some facts or ideas ro support this. It seems that it is a complicated involment and we are relutantly involved and cannot just walk away however it would make it easier for the U.S. to shift more of it`s attention to Asia which seems ro be the USA`s next front. Any comments,?
