1. Just like the gutless Europe, Israel caves in every time
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.12.13)
Arab "outrage" is being threatened with.I don't recall Vatican being cordoned off during Christmas. Let's build the third Temple already!
2. Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz who is supposed to build it
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (08.12.13)
If Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, says that Jews should not enter until after the Temple is rebuilt, who will build it for them? The Muslims or the Thai?
3. Ascending in our days?
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (08.12.13)
Personally I accept the ruling of the Gedolei HaPoskim that we should not ascend the Mount in our state of impurity, but I also recognise that the outer courtyard of the Temple was the Court of the Gentiles and therefore of lesser sanctity than the area where the Cohanim performed the sacrificial Avodah. Perhaps there should be one section of the large Temple Mount, a section identifiable as outside the Holy area, where Jews can visit at set times and pray privately. There must also be an agreement to allow the further development of Robinson's Arch as a place for non-Orthodox prayer services. The bridge to the Mount must also be repaired as part of the agreement.
4. Jewish Pride?
Samuel Fistel ,   USA   (08.12.13)
Jerusalem has little religious significance to muslims. When they pray on our holy Temple Mount, they bow down and face Mecca. They claim muhammad flew there from Mecca one night on a magical winged donkey, and ascended to heaven from the "farthest mosque" (there were no intact structures on the Temple Mount at that time, neither Jewish nor muslim). It's funny that the anti-Zionist charedim have joined the atheist Israeli leftists and the muslims in opposing Jewish prayer on our ONLY truly holy site.
5. Nonsense
BH ,   Iowa   (08.13.13)
"Jews must not visit the Mount until the Temple is rebuilt on it, due to the site's sanctity." But devil worshiping mobs can roam about freely??
6. @1 please let me know how many Muslims
Sephardi Israeli ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
the Spanish Courts allow to pray in Cordoba's Mosque/Cathedral. I don't know about the rest of Europe but I know about Spain ... no Muslim is allowed to pray there. So before you go running at the mouth with your ridiculous generalizations please do your homework!
7. Jews need to flood the Temple AND rebuild it.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
#2 Eric. This is not a question of either entering our Temple or rebuilding it. We need to do both. We need to assert our ownership of the Temple by flooding it AND make immediate plans to rebuild it. Incidentally, Moshe Feiglin deserves a lot of credit for getting Bibi to reverse his earlier contemptible decision to ban Jews from entering the Temple, due to Feiglin's unwavering opposition to the racist ban.
8. There was never any temple there
Fredrik   (08.12.13)
"jerusalem" is NEVER even mentioned in Tora. The "temple" in your historical records served as a ritual prostitution where Jews would bring idols and commit all kinds of lewdness and sacrilige. Your "temple" became like a shopping mall of filth and absolutely nothing holy, the temple mount where the mosq is was actually a dumping ground by Jews by the time those Arabs restored its sanctity.
9. And we want OUR 10 JEWS ONLY days during OUR HOLY DAYS just
Jacob ,   Jerusalem   (08.13.13)
like the Muslims had during Ramadan. Israel is a democracy, right? And there is equal freedom of worship, right?
10. lies
brandon   (08.13.13)
Haha what lies. When Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria, the Jordanians turned the western wall into a garbage dump, literally. Not to mention they kicked the Jews off the land

Your allegation that Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Torah and that it was used as a "dumping ground" for filth is the big lie based on ignorance, hatred and prejudice against the Jewish people. Indeed, Jerusalem is mentioned 622 times in the Torah.
12. Temple Mount
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (08.13.13)
Jews lost their legitimate access to the Holy Mount of the Temple when Christ Jesus died on the Cross. This access denial has never been lifted since then. This is the plain Gospel Truth since the Passion of Jesus.

According to Maimonides, Hilchos Melachim, we have no clear tradition regarding some of the details of the Messianic prophecies and therefore we will only undestand it fully when it transpires. In the days when Herod expanded the Temple, only Cohanim were allowed to build in the area of the Holy and Holy of Holies. In thye early 20th Century the Chofetz Chaim set up a kollel to teach Cohanim how to perform the Avoda [sacrificial cult]. Let'sa hope there are Cohanim today studying how to build as well!

Myconius ,   L'wd, Nl   (08.14.13)
Actually in the Pentateuch (and that is the Thora), it is not mentioned at all. It is mentionmed in the Tenach, but strictly speaking that is not part of the Thora. So Fredrik is right on this one.

What non Jews have to do with Yeshua Ha Notzri, who was a practicing Jew and Rabbi? He never left Judaism, he died as a Jew, so what you have to do with it, moi milij pan?

By the way, Moslems do not believe that Jesus was ever crucified...Just for your info...
17. #12 Graczek: you may be correct!
Bluegrass Picker ,   Afula   (08.14.13)
but since neither you nor I have a direct telegraph line to G-d to verify his state of mind.... we Hebrews will just have to seize and occupy Mount Moriah by brute force. Just the same way that English speaking people got Maryland....
18. @12 I am secure (frum/firm) in my religion
Jew ,   JewLandia (Israel)   (08.14.13)
I don't try to insult you by superimposing my religion on yours. So please be kind and polite and try to be considerate of others who don't believe as you do. FYI Rabbi Hillel the Elder said: "What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow: this is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn" My advise to you is to follow Rabbi Hillel's words. Wishing you a lovely day.
19. to #12 you r not even chritian, so y would you care?
ghostq   (08.15.13)
you probably have read the book Zealot and decided you know about Christ, jews had prayed in the Temple 200 years after the Christ was crusified in Skull mountain outside the city walls of Jerusalem. it is the omans fault, today those Romans' offsprings r Catholics. irony. baaaa
20. worship
john ,   toronto   (08.15.13)
The Temple mount must be cleansed and worship to God must take place immediately. The security of the nation is in this.
21. @20 did G-d tell you that?
