1. Outrageous!!
Christy ,   Boston, US   (08.12.13)
Actually, outrageous doesn't even begin to cover it! It's sickening that Israel should even be asked to - once again - release terrorists. I'm ashamed for the part the the US had this. Why is this supposed to be a good idea? Has Israel *ever* received peace from any of these deals? I don't know why Israel agrees to this.
2. Seems we are being conditioned not to feel revulsion&disgust
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.12.13)
on issues, that any other, sane and healthy Western society would not tolerate for a minute. It is all of us, not only the poor families, that are being spitted on!
3. He who choses infamy...
Alf Red ,   Londonistansk   (08.12.13)
Was it Churchill who said after the ill-famous Munich agreement: He who choses infamy to war - will get both? Weak Government of Bibi has chosen to insult own people grievously - just to start another bout of shameful and fruitless "talks about talks" with those who consider these heinous murderers heroes. What good can come out of this perfidy? Nothing but shame and grief...
4. Rule of Law
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (08.12.13)
If these terrorists have been convicted by a court of law, their release should only be with the agreement of the High Court. There must be a separation of powers. The Cabinet doesn't convict people and the cabinet should not have the power to arbitrarily release convicts without the Court's consent.
5. The bottom line is......
M.C.   (08.12.13)
that the PA is a terrorist organization and no different from Hamas! Abbas started the PLO with Arafat with the sole objective of destroying Israel. Nothing has changed!! Zipi Livni and all others who are party to any negotiations are blind to this fact and are leading Israel along a disastrous path. Israel is not a democracy! democracy is government by the people and the majority in Israel are against these talks and against releasing terrorists. Bibi is going the same way as Arik Sharon. This is not what he was elected to do. Nothing can justify this as nothing can justify the Gaza fiasco. Any further 'compromises' with terrorists could lead to a civil war! If the political system isn't changed very soon this may happen. There's no justification whatsoever to make gestures too or talk about dividing the land with terrorists!!! Israel must wake up to who it is dealing with and reverse it's policies before it's too late. We must look to those brave enough to do this to lead us, and get free of the rest. This is a serious issue!! Israel is loosing all self respect as a sovereign state!
6. Kerry forced Bibi- Bush forced Sharon
Dina   (08.12.13)
With so called friends like these, who needs enemies?
7. it's not like they haven't served time
rm ,   Amsterdam NL   (08.12.13)
they have been in jail for quite some years...some of them were due for release soon anyway....
8. Israel has cowardly agreed to release the murderers,
A ,   Belgium   (08.12.13)
but is Israel committed to delivering them alive? What if while during their singing and celebrating, their bus was visited by an IAF drone carrying a few rockets? THAT'S how the "palestinian" terrorists should go home...incinerated.
9. Murderers should be executed
Sam Sweiry ,   Eastbourne - UK   (08.12.13)
Yes Murderers should not be given life so society can give them everything for FREE and then - What? - release them so they can kill again - No I am not in favour for murderers to live weither Palestinians, Jewish or any Colour or race - Disguisting!
10. Also the murderer of Rabin is free! Hypocrits.
Mary   (08.12.13)
11. Are they hiding in shame
David ,   On this planet   (08.12.13)
Where is Meretz, Labor, the Supreme court,. not one word, are they hiding in shame or celebrating with their Arab friends. I feel ashamed of what I will say WE DO NOT DESERVE TO HAVE A COUNTRY. We are a worthless nation with no conscience.
12. The right has no moral standard!
Ehud   (08.12.13)
Bibi had the choice not to release them and instead of this 'gesture' to slow down construction in isolated settlements. But the messianic religious maniacs and the extreme right hold a grip on Netanyahu to the extent that building a few apartments in areas everyone knows will have to be relinquished (unlike the settlement blocks) that he preferred to release rapists and child murderers who should have rotten in jail until the end of their days rather than slow down building a few barracks for the deluded messianic hill-top youth. The sane right should have stood to this insane way of prioritization a long time ago!
13. Netanyahu's release of murderers is pathetic. (end)
George ,   Ashdod   (08.12.13)
14. #7 Only deserve to serve time in hell
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (08.12.13)
15. Class action lawsuits against those who unleash murderers.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
Enough trying to reason with cowardly politicians who unleash "Palestinian" murderers against Israel. These politicians are guilty of criminal negligence and must be held accountable. America would never tolerate such despicable conduct. Nor should Israel. It is time for class action lawsuits against these disgusting politicians. Beginning with Shimon Peres and Labor, whose Oslo Disaster cost thousands of Israelis their lives and well being.
16. OUTRAGEAUS !
FO ,   Belgium   (08.12.13)
Releasing terrorists with blood on their hands and just about twenty people of bereaved families protesting. But for the price of cottage cheese, thousands in the street. Some matter to think about !!!
17. My deepest heartfelt grief for these families & TRUE ISRAEL
Esther ,   Selkirk Canada   (08.12.13)
Another very sad day !!!
18. Release of Terrorists
Larry ,   Cape Town, South Afr   (08.12.13)
What are the priorities of this disfunctional government ? They release murderers and at the same time go ahead with approval of more settlement units. Is the one a trade-off for the other ? What is more likely to bring peace - less settlements or releasing terrorists ?
19. In a world upside down.......
alsky ,   toronto   (08.12.13)
it makes sense. These released murders should have been executed a long time ago ! I feel so sad for the relatives who have to deal with this. Stay strong !
20. 6
zionist forever   (08.12.13)
There is a difference between the Sharon & Bibi situation. With Sharon he took a gamble in exchange for rewards. Successive governments in Israel on both the right and left had been wanting to get rid of Gaza for decades, small number of Israelis surrounded by 1 million arabs requires very expensive security. Bush said he would not push Sharon on Judea & Samaria if he gave the arabs a prize in the form of Gaza. If the gamble had paid off and Gaza didn't turn into NASA of the Middle East would have been good for Israel. With Bibi there is nothing in it for Israel its all so Abbas will do us the honour of sitting down and discussing the creation of a palestinians state. Doesn't matter if talks break down these guys will be released. Another terrible thing about what Bibi is doing is he is releasing murderers, some have killed more than one person. With the Shalit deal Bibi & Barak negotiated with Hamas release minimum number of prisoners with blood on their hands but here Bibi is releasing loads of murderers for nothing possibly some Israeli arabs sentenced by a civilian court but being released because Abbas demands it.
21. #7 rm How Many Murders Have
(08.12.13)
amsterdam Released Lately? You spend to much time in Coffee Shops, Duude?
22. #10 Is he now?
A ,   Belgium   (08.12.13)
Yigal Amir is serving a life sentence, plus two other sentences of 5 and 8 years. Unlike the "palestinian" murderers, he will never be pardoned or released. Go back to sleep...hypocrite.
23. #18. Execute terrorists AND massively build Judea/Samaria.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
What is this nonsensical choice? Israel has no need to choose between executing terrorists and massively building Judea and Samaria. We can and must DO BOTH!
24. How many Jewish murders are in Palestinian Jails? Zero. Why?
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (08.12.13)
25. This entrenched strategy WORKS! So, I advise the Pals...
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.12.13)
Do it over and over and over again. Stop the talks, let them beg you to start back, demand the release of prisoners and voila! OMG! It works every time without fail. The Pals have the formula!
26. #24 Benassi
Madeleine ,   Israel   (08.12.13)
Because, you total anti-Semite, Israel-hater, the palis don't take Jewish prisoners, they kill them outright, no trial, nothing.
27. this is bad, really bad
arne ,   chicago usa   (08.12.13)
what will happen if the "peace" talks fail (which they most likely will) will the released be put back? we know the answer. Israel should wait to see what direction things are going and only then should certain prisoners be freed.
