May I ask you a few questions?
1) Why are you addressing me all the time in almost every article that in one way or another discusses the existence of a Jewish nation state? You don't want nationalism at all? Good for you, but 6 million Jews in Israel want nationalism - Jewish nationalism. Hundreds of millions of people across Europe, Russia, Africa, Middle East and Asia want to live and de facto live daily in nation states. Are you hostile to all nation states or just the Jewish one? What exactly has your talkback got to do with the debates in here?
2) What are my "basic assumptions"? Are you implying that you are a mind reader?
3) What makes you think that I am even remotely interested in the fact that you don't accept my "basic assumptions"?
4) All political states are political constructs whether they are based on nationalism or multi-culturalism, but ethnicities and racial stocks are not political constructs. And all states should be allowed to define their own identity - including the Jewish State of Israel - that is of course if we assume that all human beings - Jews/Israelis included are equal before the law and equal before God.
5) The Jewish people is not alone in having compatriots and countrymen spread across the world who wish to stay where they are: Examples: Germans, Scandinavians, Englishmen, Irishmen, Scotsmen, Welshmen, Spaniards and Italians. Just take a look at Australia, Latin America and North and South America.
