Yusef Abdel Hamid Irshaid and Samir Hussein Murtaj tortured and killed other Palestinians who they claimed were “collaborators.” Burhan Subaih also set out to kill “collaborators,” one of whom was a woman named Aisha Abdullah Haradin. Would the author consider these acts to be ones of desparation? Or just the acts of psychotic killers. The author is not treating these people like human beings by making them incapable of being responsible for their actions. No, the average person does not act like this, even if they live under foreign rule. Did we ever see Jews acting this way when they suffered far harsher oppression. By "allowing" acts like these, the author is actually saying that these people, perhaps because of the color of their skin, are not responsible for their actions. This is casual left-wing racism. When a white man commits such acts of barbarity they are correctly condemned, but when a person of color commits such acts, it is because of some oppression. All should be treated equally. When someone axes another to death, they should receive the fullest punishment with no possibility of reprieve, regardless of the context.
