1. Defend Seamsn's freedom of speech! Fight the Fascist Left!
Arye K ,   Haifa   (08.16.13)
2. Not how a democratic state operates
Avramele   (08.16.13)
So now any time a pro-Israel statement is posted others will condemn it as paid government propaganda? And will there now be an "official ideological position" protected by "Bibi Youth" all repeating slogans dictated from above in exchange for scholarship dollars? And will said students now be given preferential treatment by universities and cooperating authorities? A free and open society must not empower it's government to pass official judgement on political statements. And btw, who will be in charge of retractions and disavowals when these paid hasbaraniks say something truly harmful, offensive and stupid?
3. please have elections
Reuven ,   Netanya   (08.16.13)
So you are bribing students to defend the decisions of your right wing government? How more stupid can it get? Where do you get these ideas .. from Sesame Street? If you want to have an audience defending your actions on social media, there are cheaper ways then providing scholarships.
4. Out of control, stupid, and desperate

5. Do It Yourselfers vs Professionals
Eli ,   Nahariya, Israel   (08.16.13)
Like it or not, the world has devolved to this -- the Palestinians have more "Likes" on FB than Israel, so release 200 prisoners. The problem comes in when you analyze the data -- and realize that having students do this is a total waste of time. One of my oldest friends, a lover of Israel, who is the go-to guy for Disney and Marvel Comics, approached the government with a plan to combat the Palestinians 3 years ago. Of course, being Israelis they rejected his offer, after all, we're Israelis we're smarter.
6. a great initiative that will still see negative light
David ,   Australia   (08.16.13)
The world will paste any pro Israel speeches as propaganda . However domestically I think it's a beautiful initiative where students are rewarded by defending their country on another front then just the battlefield. Promoting zionism, becoming prouder citizens with cheaper education sounds beautiful. Fighting the fight against anti semitism will only make Israeli students work harder and be prouder
7. US Paid Propagandist against Israel
Bill Stein ,   USA   (08.16.13)
Want to bet who is funding the anti Israel and anti Jewish social media experts out there the United States thru third countries and Qatar
8. Paid trolls...???
Makinaapoint ,   new York, USA   (08.16.13)
Really? It's gotten so bad that the government is actually wasting $378,000 to pay trolls to defend the Apartheid State of the 21st century? And they seriously believe anyone will fall for this? Too funny.....
9. It's paid AMBASSADORS, #8
Expat ,   Adelaide   (08.16.13)
And why not? Making students' lives easier economically would help them be more focused and thereby do a better job explaining Israel's side, yet would not detract a millimeter from the factual validity of their arguments. And if foreign money from partisan benefactors sponsors the subversive ultra-leftist organization in Israel, as well as the anti-Israel (and anti-America) activities in US campuses, then why not level the playing field a bit? Seems only fair. PS. Do you even know what "Apartheid" means?
10. Students' writing on social media to defend Israel
Benny Berger ,   Dublin, Ireland   (08.16.13)
I note with interest this new initiative, which will apply to Israeli students only. I imagine though that there will be many Jewish students in the Galut and indeed some pro-Israel Christian students who would also be happy to take part in such an initiative. This option should be considered too as a way of engaging Zionists in Hutz La'Aretz with the State of Israel.

14. Also the reader comments in western OnLine news
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (08.16.13)
I believe, it is also very important to do this work in western OnLine publications. I am doing this in Germany and I find, that this field is widely captured by exiled Muslims. They are doing a lot of promo for the so called Palestinians.
15. I will always defend Israel
alsky ,   Toronto   (08.16.13)

17. I do it for free!
Ariel ,   Toronto   (08.17.13)
Defend and present is not acting in the same way. We need to created bridges not stay word fighting. Getting a bunch of "JAP" to do that will not help in nothing.
18. PR for Israel is not easy....
MercyIsrael   (08.17.13)
Old baggage is a burden. Try: Injured Syrians seek medical treatment in Israel. Injured Israelis can not risk to get treatment in Arab countries, but the two UK girls got help in Zanzibar. I think, individual Arab doctors and nurses will treat Israelis if needed, with a few exceptions. The official Arab policy is to deny Israelis treatment.
19. Fair For Israelis To Be Paid. I'm Making Millions By ....
World Citizen ,   the world   (08.18.13)
Saudis, Iranians, Iraqis and a host of other anti-apartheid NGOs. And it is so easy when you've got the truth on your side like I have. The poor paid shills for Israel have to lie to earn their silver.
20. Chelm
Neal ,   Minneapolis USA   (08.18.13)
This is an idea from Chelm. It will destroy the credibility of pro-Israel posts (such as mine) because people will discount anything they believe people have been paid to say. To make the point again: Not only will people not believe what paid postings say, the fact that people are paid to post pro-Israel comments will lead to destroying the credibility of the remarks of the rest of us. The Wise Men of Chelm could not have been more brilliant.
21. 19 No doubt,for impartial comment..
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.18.13)
you are the man.
22. 20 Neal Telling the truth is useless
Wise man ,   Chelm   (08.19.13)
People only believe what they want to believe. If you can get money for telling the truth,at least you do not waste your time.
23. Hasbara
Hector ,   Brazil   (01.18.14)
I am investing approximately 3 hours a day, each day, for the past 4 years doing exactly that. Sometimes it appears to be a lost battle, but we have no choice. The resurgence of the dormant judeo phobia that stayed dormant from 1945 is staggering and as usual it involves an enormous amount of ignorance, hatred and bigotry. Some things appear to change just to stay the same. We are facing 1929 yet again and very few people notice it. The points to stress are: 1. Israel is not beyond "legitimate" criticism, and criticizing Israel does not necessarily mean anti semitism since it is done in a fact-based fashion. 2. To generalize is wrong. Give a single name and substantiate. Beware of false information. 3. Be even. It can't be that while bashing Israel, other places that behave a hundred times worse are "conveniently overlooked". 4. Cowardice reigns. Criticizing Israel costs nothing, criticizing muslims guarantees a fatwa. Beat the romans and defend the Jews, beat Torquemada and defend the Jews, beat the Nazis and defend the Jews, beat Islam and defend the Jews, and be sure to get in trouble.
24. I am Advocating Israel!
Alexander Scheiner ,   Israel   (01.18.14)
I do it since more then a year. With adverts in German speaking weeklies in Switzerland, in Jewish weeklies and in my website, rememberamalek.blogspot.co.il and in many comments to mostly German language media. It is a difficult defense against Jewish pro-Palestinian non Zionist NGOs. They make us of the palestinian-arab Propaganda-Machine and their financial back-up.
