A week or two ago Michel Sleiman for the first time dared to criticize Hezbollah for its intervention in Syria & the divisions it causes in Lebanon. Four hours after his speech a bomb exploded in front of his presidential residence. He must have learned his lesson & he now prefers to blame Israel, a safer option in trying to explain to the Lebanese the reason for their plight without involving Hezbollah. But in doing so he indirectly reinforces Hezbollah in its propaganda as the necessary "Resistance" to Israel, a pretext to maintain its hold on the state by the threat or violence or, when its suit its purpose, by the exercise of brutal violence
