daughter of Tel Aviv ,   Israel   (08.17.13)
you may well consider them thieves and killers - however, my Syrian counter (much like my car odometer) says that over 100,000 killed in Syria over the last 2 years, on no, wait, 105,000, no no, 106,000, 107, 108 109 and going. The killers, murderers, rapists, racists, and oppressors of women surely do exist - please hold up a mirror!
32. ""sometimes"" there is a UN bias?
tiki ,   belgium   (08.17.13)
Well, what's new? We knew that! Now what? Question is "what are you, as CEO of this organisation, going to do about it"? Answer: "It's an unfortunate situation, but It's because of the ME conflict"! What kind of answer is that? He's the boss, he should come up with the answers and the actions! That's what he's payed for. That's what the UN was established for! To deal with conflicts but not to gang up on a member state or give member status to a terrorist organisation. Only a real imbecile would come up with this answer. In any private organisation his job as CEO would be ended, but not in all those international organisations (payed for by all of us). There you can do nothing, talk nonsense and still be a high payed chairman. But lucky for us, there is yet again a picture with smiling peaople!

The blind U.N. can finally see.
34. Man without his own brain......
Calabi ,   Sydney Aust   (08.17.13)
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He loves his title, he loves glamorous life, he love to be told, he love to please majority even though it's wrong, he is blind, he is also mute, He do not know what is the meaning of judgment and when he judge he fear the wild and penalize the decent. All because he do not own a brain of himself.
35. United Nations chief,Ban
ltrail ,   United States   (08.17.13)
The article says "Ban confirmed that there was a biased attitude towards the Israeli people and Israeli government, stressing that it was "an unfortunate situation."" Well, there is easy fix to this: oust all mission leaders at the UN who are biased. If they cannot get along with fellow nations in their midst, they must be dismissed for they are not united. Nations that are biased need to be identified, warned, and finally cast out. When Dan simply says, "it's unfortunate", he's been a ploy, just doesn't care, or silently approves. This is an unacceptable situation.
36. Ban bias against Israel
Sophia ,   USA   (08.17.13)
If Ban admits he has bias against Israel, yet still insist on peace to prevail in Gaza; he, in my opinion is the wrong person in the UN to be involved in the peace process and perhaps should step down? Common-sense needs to prevail and objective negotiations for peace and root causes addressed, to truly succeed for Israel's peace are in order; not discrimination against Israel, in my opinion! Those in positions of power/decisions, need to grow-up and do the right thing. Past time for adults to behave properly with World concerns! In my opinion they are acting like children mind-think, not leaders with great responsibilities..in my opinion. Pray sanity prevails!
37. To: No. 25
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.17.13)
I agree. We should therefore take all steps possible to destroy the Arab thieves of Jewish land and the Arab killers of Jews. Thank you for your insight. I doubt it is shared by your brethren, but I am pleased to note that you recognize that Arab theft of Jewish land and Arab murder of Jews is an ongoing problem. So yes, it is good that the Jewish people punish Arab thieves and Arab murderers. Thank you so much for ascending to the twenty-first century and reality. Both are good.
38. UN Secretary General
Ralph ,   Rishon   (08.17.13)
OK so you admit there is bias against Israel at the UN. So, as Sec. Gen of that "respected" organisation, WHY DON'T YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?
39. #9 Gee you talk rubbish!
Bob Cassidy   (08.17.13)
How can the UN steal any land??? Israel does though...........
40. #22 The Difference
Bob Cassidy   (08.17.13)
Like most jews, you love to dig up ancient history. The difference is that you are STILL aggressively occupying and stealing land in 2013!!! Can't you learn anything from other's history?
41. #22. Bob: 1959- is "ancient" history?
Tom W ,   USA   (08.18.13)
Your brutal occupation of Hawaii did not happen in "ancient" time: it was completed in our modern era and it's still enduring. Your islamofascist sympathies distort even the most recent events. Hopefully La Raza people will straighten your convoluted mind out.
42. Doug 13 . Learn some history !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.18.13)
Israel has BEGGED king Hussein of Jordan [ via the UN ! ] no to attack Israel . He did it , and lost . Since then there were many "peace" discussions , all our propositions rejected , Even the most offering by Ehud Barak in 2000 . It was answered by an intifada with hundreds of Israeli victim . It's not illegally occupying a region when it's done in a 100 % defensive war . This region didn't belong to anybody in 1967 , Jordan had deleted her annexation [ illegal , done after an OFFENSIVE war ] When you attack , more than once , and LOOSE , it's up to you to make concessions , not the attacked country . Yes , the UN was , and is , biaised against Israel . Not always of course , but they listen mostly only to ONE side .
43. Moon comments
Michael Beckman ,   Houston, TX USA   (08.18.13)
Read between the lines...Moon said sometimes discrimination "because of the MidEast conflict"--no Moon -it is because we are Jewish. In my mind while he was acknowledging the "unfortunate" discrimination he was in part justifying it because there is no peace agreement.
44. When Ban Ki Moon, the most coward diplomat of all admits ...
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (08.18.13)
this, it must be really bad!
45. UN admits bis against Israel
dorothy ,   israel   (08.19.13)
Is there going to be a change after this? We all know that the UN is taking sides .
46. Unfortunate??
jimmy ,   brooklyn, USA   (08.19.13)
"an unfortunate situation."??? I hope their teacher was there to explain to them in front of this Moon clown that these words are political talk for "I agree with them and I am not going to change a thing, TOO BAD".
47. And Secretary General of the UN is not part of it of course
cherson ,   Barcelona   (12.26.13)
Oh, what a hot news; Israel is being discriminated in the UN! And Mr.Ban, of course, has never heard of this before and is not part of this. And what has Mr.Ban, Secretary General of the UN, done to stop this discrimination? Freaking hypocryte!
