1. hahaha israel to blame
yona ,   tlv   (08.17.13)
these people are insane seriously, they dont know what they want, egypt loved morsi then hated him now they hate the guys who hate morsi so only one left to blame and yell at is israel if egypt was smart, they would ask israel to take over that whole country and make order, or else they will go to trash as this was will last for decades
2. Commenting on Tamarod claimed petition
Wael Allam ,   Cairo Egypt   (08.17.13)
I have not seen any online petition regarding the peace accord, can you please share the link as I think it is not true.
3. Okay
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.17.13)
Go ahead and cancel the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. Won't take Israel too long at all to roll across the Sinai, and take a strip of land across the Suez Canal. We have, after all, done it before. Wasn't hard. Then, the Canal belongs to Israel. Gee. I guess the idiots didn't think that far ahead. And if Israel reduces the gougingly high Egyptian-set transit tolls of the Canal, a whole lot of shipping companies might all of a sudden start transiting the Canal. Which most haven't, by the way. Decisions, decisions. Cancel the peace treaty. PLEASE! It was never a peace treaty to begin with. It was a major Israeli concession to unstable Egypt. Time to pull out the rug from under Egypt. They have absolutely nothing to offer us except uncontrollable terrorism stemming from the Sinai. Sinai is on the way to Egypt. isn't it? What we SHOULD have done is eliminate that terrorist rabble from the get-go. No time like the present. Let's rid ourselves of that terrorist rabble -- Sinai, Egypt -- who cares? Get rid of that rabble now!
4. Either Tamarod is stupid or it's a strategy
Yossef   (08.17.13)
to get Israel taking back the Sinai and deal with the djihad and hamas?
5. Brilliant idea!
Daniel ,   TLV   (08.17.13)
Another war with Israel and no more money from the US is exactly what the already failed state of Egypt needs. You go, Tamoron, and soon Egypt will slip into Syria-style chaos and eventually turn into Somalia. And all this because of your inability to look critically at yourselves in stead of blaming the usual suspects.
6. #3 stop...

9. MENACHEM BEGIN Z"L
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS ,   SAFED OBVIOUS HOUSE   (08.17.13)
Sorry to say ,but Begin ,may his memory be blessed .was a sucker to return the Sinai to Egypt.
10. It's not an accord...
RichInBoston ,   Boston USA   (08.17.13)
...it's a surrender. An Egyptian surrender. Cancel the surrender and let's take back Sinai. Done deal.
11. So Obama messed it up..
Beary White ,   Norway   (08.17.13)
..he (sunni) was sidelined by MB (sunnies), and the US President ended up in a failure and just now out of control to repair relations with egypts military forces which opposed MB and indirectly Obama. The best way out of this is to put the MB behind bars and let the military rule and dissolve MB. If MB is re-instated, then they will remove every non-Islamic minorities to make Egypt an islamic state, governed by sharia law, with the blessing of mr Obama. And there will be no place for religions of Christians, Hindu, Jews and so on. Western leaders should start to see the danger of islam, wherever it get a foothold...
12. God Bless Israel
Fad Egypt   (08.17.13)
i want to thank the state of Israel government and people for their support for Egypt and for its army in its operations against terror in Sinai, also for its diplomatic efforts to prevent the west from condemning the Egypt for the violence, Israel is the pillar of stability and security in the region, while Egypt is facing its own problems which made by the egyptians themselves, it is the egyptians are the ones who elected the MB and Morsi, we got we deserve and i am not blaming Obama or the US, Obama doesnt want violence in the country and i am against the use of force against the MB, such scenario will lead to civil war, there cant be any security solution to the problem, anyway i am not writing this to disturb the israelis with out problem all what i want to say thank you Israel, you are the best country in the world, i am ashamed of my people and the stupid tamarod movement, thats why although they ousted Morsi i didnt call them freedom loving people, the people here are hating the west and Israel more than anything else, as long as they are like these, i am not supporting them !!!! Israel doesnt deserve such hatred, i am sorry in the name of all the egyptians, God bless you and bless your wonderful country !!!! shalom
13. It's high time.......
Ramzi Jaber ,   Palestine   (08.17.13)
It's high time for BOTH parts of the Camp David Accords be implemented or the whole thing scrapped.
14. @wael
LG new ,   NYC USA   (08.17.13)
I hope this is not true. What is happening in Egypt is horrific for all concerned. The last thing the Egyptians or Israelis want/need is to risk another war and allow jihadists to operate unopposed in the Sinai. Very shortsighted of Tamarod to call for this, if indeed it is so.
15. Egyptian geniuses
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.17.13)
So Egypt wants no financial aid from USA, Egypt wants war with Israel (a nuclear power with allegedly the 4th-5th largest air force in the world and satellites in space and more tanks than UK, France and Germany combined) - while Egyptians are having a civil war, and can't afford food and water and need to import about 50% of their food to cover their annual food consumption? Brilliant plan...Don't forget that Ethiopia is using more of its water supply in the Ethiopian section of the Nile River. That means the Egyptian section of the Nile River will most likely dry up in a few years or decades from now and the Nile is the major source of water supply in Egypt. Soon you'll have nothing to drink. Egyptian geniuses...
16. Won't happen
Yosef ,   Egypt   (08.17.13)
Tamarod won't run Egypt's foreign policy. This is just a juvenile reaction to the perceived US pressure in support of the MB. Egyptians won't agree to such foolish idea. The problem is that Israel's policy is believed by most Egyptians to be indistinguishable of, and in perfect sync with that of the US. I personally don't think Israeli citizens would like the idea of a brotherhood run Egypt, but whether Israel's official stance today is in agreement with the west or opposed to it isn't clear. I know it's usually 'damned if you do and damned if you don't' for Israel, but I still wonder if a statement of support for the Egyptian people could've gone long way.
17. peace treaty
leonmen ,   meitar israel   (08.17.13)
The one constant in a rapidly changing Arab World is the stupidity of the Arab Nations. As I am not a racist I will assume it's from their hate filled education. Certainly self delusion has been raised to an art form by them.
18. Hmm, i don't blame them!
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan   (08.17.13)
First of all, Egypt would be MUCH better off under the Russians. they are reliable allies, unlike the US. If only Israel could jump ship too, unfortunately because Russia is so reliable, our chance went the window as soon as we choose america in 48, because the Firmly support our enemies no matter what, and i commend them on that! i commend them for picking a side and sticking with them, not try to appease the entire world by betraying its allies like american! As for Canceling peace with Israel. Nothing will unite the people like a common enemy i guess. but if Egypt doesn't realize the extremists are the real enemy, no ally , no peace will help you anyways. so by all means, cancel the treaty, give israel the opportunity to deal with the salafists in the sinai directly.

on the way to self destruction well we tried to help. good by
20. #3 'Sarah B'
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (08.17.13)
Lovely of you to call for war whilst safely ensconced as far away as you can be from Israel without getting your feet wet. Israel cannot afford to go to war with Egypt, it will not be like 1967 or 1973, which is why my political leaders signed the peace treaty in 1979 You are not part of the solution you are the problem
21. Tamarod never discussed peace accord
Wael Allam ,   Cairo, Egypt   (08.17.13)
Tamarod have never discussed any related topic to CD peace accord. Only joints those asking to not accept US military support anymore.
22. extraordinarily smart move!
michael ,   zurich   (08.17.13)
This is an extremely smart move by the egyptian military. first, they are the last to forgo the aid designated exclusively for them, second, that's exactly their problem. by this referendum they can show xenophobia, indispensable to gather sympathy with the masses, and in the end keep the money. As for the Sinai, the logic is the same, the army's actions there can not be depicted as helping the zionists, but to fight them. in a stroke of genius they turn the argument upside down. Let the army fight the international jihad in the Sinai and disobey the wishes of the Zionists at the same time! What we are seeing in the last few weeks by the Egyptians is very subtle for this region and you in Israel should appreciate that.
23. We don't need the Sinai
Yossef   (08.17.13)
24. @ #3 - Sarah B
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (08.17.13)
You, who have never had to stand in battle and kill or be killed, are very free with the lives of me and my brothers in arms. I can count the cost of our having rolled across Sinai, crossing the Suez Canal and taking a strip of Egypt on the West Bank of the canal, isolating the Egyptian Third Army. I count that cost in the lives of friends, fellow soldiers and a couple of pints of my own blood left behind. If you want to be a warmonger, be prepared to lift a rifle and do it yourself-- don't condemn others to die for your opinions. The only thing I truly despise is those "armchair warriors" who demand that others be sent out to fight and die for their purposes. Such people are below my contempt. With one post, you have lowered yourself to the level of Hassan Nasrallah.
25. AWFUL MISTAKE TO RETURN SINAI
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS ,   SAFED OBVIOUS HOUSE   (08.17.13)
I always felt it what a terrible mistake for Israel to return the Sinai to Egypt. Israel will regret it one day.
26. It's the settlers fault
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (08.17.13)
27. online petition regarding peace accord
Tarbouche ,   Aswan   (08.17.13)
I did see it maybe on Fox; I think it will not succeed like their 1st petition which inflamed the country Egypt needs decades of peace to recover and feed its people
28. Sarah B.....i fundamentally agree with most of
Anthony Fallon ,   Manchester UK   (08.17.13)
...your comments but not your Sinai strategy. Occupying Sinai is of no advantage to Israel whatsoever. The main recurring problem is the extremely narrow spine of the country & how a return to 1967 approximate borders would prove to be a security nightmare for Israel. My hope is for a popular (PALESTINIAN) uprising in 77% of mandated Palestine ie. JORDAN so that the Hashemite dictators will be overthrown by the majority Palestinian population and hey presto a Palestinian state will be created. IN ADDITION, many Palestinians from the West Bank would want to relocate there and those that remained would by definition be content to remain under semi-autonomous Israeli rule.
29. There is still hope for Egypt because, #12 Fad, in Egypt
Reginald ,   Great Britain   (08.17.13)
Thank you Fad for your reasonable and seasoned comment on the situation in Egypt, and your commentary in regards to Israel, , especially sending blessing and good will from Egypt. I am encouraged by your comment, and will pray that you be safe, and well be protected from the violence of the Muslim Brotherhood, , including your family Fad. God bless, through the precious love of His only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ! Amein!
30. As long as they don't cancle the Washington peace treaty....
