ARE ISRAEL...END OF THE DISCUSSION !

I've been saying this forever. Unrwa should be disbanded or at least kicked out of Israel and the West Bank. You can be a refugee for 1 year, two years but not a generation! Life goes on and the Palestinians have to fend for themselves. Once they fend for themselves they will see the world completely differently and maybe then we'll see some progress.

UNRWA’s sole purpose is to perpetuate its existence. It is nothing more than a self serving organisation keeping its directors, managers and staff employed in the style that they have become accustomed. IF and when the so called Palestinians get their act together and join the world has a self help people with self regard and pride and not living on the charity of the human race what on earth will UNRWA do. This UN parasite has no purpose to exist other than ensuring that its own survival.

Lets say Israel agrees to retret 100% to the per 1967 border, removes every last settler and agrees to divide Jerusalem but the only thing it refuses to compromise on is right of return. If Israel refuses that everything else will collapse because the ROR idea is sacred to them and Arafat, Abbas and anybody who succeeds him knows that even if they are personally wiling to drop ROR the people will not and they will be assassinated for agreeing to it and the treaty will be torn up by their successor unless Israel agrees to ROR. The Palestinians are proud of the idea that they are refugees. When a woman is pregnant she is not gong to give birth to a child but to a refugee who has a ROR. As for UNRWA that should be dissolved immediately, it is a corrupt organization with a huge budget to waste. Make the Palestinians the responsibility of the UNHCR then there will be no more official UN bodies that support ROR and it will save mostly the US millions every year as they are the main paymasters for UNRWA.

My ancestors were kicked out in 3830 (70 AD) and were even put in ghettos (refugee camps) and killed in many countries by many peoples - mostly by Christians, but I found my way back to my homeland. I found foreigners living here and although I was willing to let them stay, they wanted to keep all the land for themselves and even when I said I would stay in a small area, the foreigners fought me. These foreigners have been tring to kill me and get me to leave for about 120 years now, but I have no place else to go - this is my land as given me by my forefathers.

With such good business going on, why take any risks and resolve to live in peace with your Jewish neighbors. Such a move will undermine Palestine Ltd.

Why should the jews be the only refugee's who's decendants have a right to return?

You need to spell out the difference - that except for Palestinian Arabs, all other refugees are only counted when they have really fled from somewhere. How is it that for the Palestinian Arabs the definition came to include all there descendants forever and ever?

Why is it that the Palestinians are the only people who inherit refugee status from generation to generation even when they are citizens of other countries? Those of us whose parents or grandparents left Europe for America or wherever - we or our children and grandchildren are refugees?

Your definition is not exactly the same as the Geneva Convention's "A refugee, according to the Convention, is someone who is unable or unwilling to return to their country of origin owing to a well- founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion." Over 80% of the Arabs claiming to be refugees in 1948 had lived in the Mandate for less than 2 years

Israel is unlike Ireland, Greece, Germany, Japan. It was created by an immigrant settler community that came to Palestine and displaced the indigenous Palestinian population. Israel could never have existed as a "Jewish" state without physical ethnic cleasning. The Palestinian refugees, who were expelled by Zionist forces in 1948 have not forgotten and claim their Right of Return as vested in UNGAR 194. You say you make the rules, Gee. That is indeed the sad reality of Israel, the apartheid state: one rule for Jews, another rule for non-Jews. So much for equality. The Law of Return, as Myconius pointed out correctly, only applies to Jews not to non-Jewish Palestinian Arabs, who were the indigenous people and driven out by force. If I were a Palestinian I would never ever give up my Right of Return.

So morons think a General Assembly Resolution supersedes the UN Charter. Sorry but you can put the UN General Assembly Resolutions where the sun doesn't shine. They are ILLEGAL. Every single country in the entire world decides who can and who cannot enter and establishes their own immigration laws. So that means every country in the world is an apartheid regime. Many of the Arabs came to Palestine because the Jews offered them work. Ethnic cleansing is your favorite word and default because the truth does not support your agenda. The estimated 650,000 Arabs left on their own when Arab leaders and militias declared war on Israel in '48. That's the reality. They have no right of return. If Israel was so important to these Arabs, they should have stayed to help the Jews fight the hostile Arab invaders. Instead, they ran away.

The U.N. does infinitely more harm than good. There is no good reason for forcing millions of hardworking Western taxpayers to support it. Why not hold national referendums and find out how many Americans, for instance, want their tax dollars misused to fund the U.N.?

Many Gulf nations refuse even Arabs from other parts of the Middle East as anything but temporary workers..... and NONE of them allow for the immigration, and most times even a visit, from Jews. And those that are citizens of Israel can petition for immigration of their family from other places, if those places are not at war with Israel. Many Israeli Arabs have brought in "Palestinian" family members, so...your "apartheid" tirade again falls flat.

At least the Palestinians have 5 million Live Refugees .The Jews suffered Six Million Murdered in WW2 and there is a demographic impossibility letting refugees back to Israel .It would lead to a nuclear chemical biological and so called conventional tribal war everything obliterated.Futher The Palestinians and Islamic world place the severest blockade of Jewish escape from nazi occupied Europe with British acquiescence .So close was Turkey but in Refused entry to the refugee ship Struma with it being sunk by submarine torpedoes hundreds killed .And Turkey wants compensations .The Jews Recovered Partially but deserve Full Political Compensation.
