As long as he howls - nothing happened.

An Israeli outlet publishes something we both agree on and is a truth. As much as "we" hate "each other", we both must exercise restraint and understand there are also 'third parties" who are trying everything possible to see us at war and ignite strife between us. Hezbollah has no interest to spark a war with Israel, just as Israel has no interest in sparking a war with Hezbollah. I am from South Lebanon and I saw these rockets today as I rushed to my balcony upon hearing the sound. From the "smoke trails" in the blue sky, they looked like they were fired from the Palestinian camp or surroundings. Hezbollah never lied and always claimed responsibility if it did something, so it's just silly for any party to try and fuel things between us by trying to prematurely lead Israel to think it was Hezbollah. The situation is so tense that many try to manipulate it for their own agendas, so I am glad to read this article and see that at least we have some good minds from both sides of the fence. Let's please keep the "awareness" from both sides because both our people are fed up of strife and the last thing we need is playing into the hands of 3rd party radicals.

I agree Ali with one exception. We, at least most Israelis don't hate you. We would like nothing more than to live in peace with you. We have had to fight for our survival for the last 70 years+ because others hate us, often more thanthey love their own children. Aleukum salam!

Can you imagine if Israelis and true Lebanese could work together for each other's benefit? What an economic powerhouse that could be? With a real peace treaty, and businessmen willing to overcome the obstacles, it could be remarkable.
5. what difference does it make
Barney ,   USA   (08.23.13)
what the motive was or who was responsible? the fact remains that Israel was fired upon. Retaliate and let the "sovereign" government of lebanon sort out the mess. they are responsible for terrorists operating from their territory just as hamas is responsible for terrorist activity from gaza. maybe the lebanese people will decide they have suffered enough as a pawn and take action
6. 2 You are educated man.Why you say WE hate each other.Trash!
Alan ,   SA   (08.23.13)
Israel doesnt HATE any Arab State. It wants nothing more than NO CONFLICT with EVERY state. Unfortunately your religion preaches that the Jews must be destroyed..What you expect? We must lie down and die. I look forward to reading more posts from you..I think you are a Western educated Lebanese visiting your roots for summer!
7. we should think about that..
Zach ,   Canada   (08.23.13)
Hezbollah might be our strongest enemy so far but he is also reasonable...but not the case for the crazy radicals, though useless in the battlefield, we never know when they decide to start blowing themselves in Israeli cities

There used to be close cooperation between Israel and the Lebanese, protected by the SLA. Assad did his best to thwart it, and the amazing thing is that Europe, the US and even the Israeli Left supported Assad. Ultimately, Israeli PM Ehud Barak truned the Lebanese over to Assad. This act is the main reason Lebanese hate Israelis. And just so you know, many of Hezbollah's best fighters were former SLA who worked with Israel until Barak's foul treachery.

I think the use of quotations were intended to indicate this.

Ours is not a culture of hate....You are our cousin and it would be contrary to our beliefs and ethics to hate you. I have many Muslim friends who are better to me than family; some Egyptian, Iraqi, and yes, Palestinian. However, these are not finatical Magnoons, but Muslims who accept people of the book as their mishpacha. They do not merely tolerated Jews and Christians; they believe in "BROTHERHOOD" they love their Jewish Cousins and vice versa..... Perhaps this feeling will spread...and en Sh'Allah....we can live side by side; one not wishing to destroy their cousins, but to help them to make a better life for all?
