1. There is no dilemma!
(08.23.13)
Protect while attacking! Each valid "fall", must be met with total destruction of Hezbollah assets. Reply violence with total and unrestrained violence - destroy ammunition, offices, Hezbollah families homes and property, etc. There shouldn't be any "balance" with Hezbollah.
2. B"H,
CJK   (08.23.13)
it has been reported that the target was the headquarters of the pflp-gc which is based in na'ameh. the report of the specific target has not been verified by other sources. however, the idf has made it clear that it was a specific target.
3. The target was a group of tunnels? That's it????
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.23.13)
4. 2 Al Manar has confirmed
CJK   (08.23.13)
al manar has confirmed that the target was the headquarters of the PLFP-GC. this means that hezbollah or assad have given them missiles.
5. Harry there's bigger things going on
Harvey ,   London   (08.23.13)
For the time being Israel is right not to adopt a knee jerk reaction . If this was indeed a Sunni initiative linked to Al Qaeda , it was designed to draw Israel into the Syrian conflict by opening up a new front with Hezbollah thus drawing off some of the heat on the Syrian rebels / Jihadists . Don't fall for the trap .
6. #1 and the there will not be any difference entered us and
Jonatan ,   Israel   (08.23.13)
Them. We could respond with international law and hurt only those who hurt us. That's why our IDF I the most moral army in the world and why Israel is a democracy. Lets not go down to their level, otherwise we are totally lost
7. Poor target to send Beirut a message. Bomb a $$$ bridge!
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (08.23.13)
If the idea is to send the Beirut regime a message, a better choice would have been an expensive piece of infrastructure like a bridge or a highway overpass that snarls traffic for weeks to fix. Something that costs at least as much as the half-million bucks worth of Tamir missiles Israel fired at those GRAD incoming rockets.
8. #3 - Harry
Ariel Rudolph ,   Modi'in, Israel   (08.23.13)
Shame... So you think that South Beirut is the Gaza / Egypt border!?!?!? Luckily the IDF's geography is far better than yours!!
9. apparently the headquarters were shared
CJK   (08.23.13)
apparently the pflp-gc headquarters were shared with islamic jihad pro-iranian group. it seems that they think the more the merrier.
10. funny how they went to lengths
hoky warrior ,   uk   (08.23.13)
To avoid targeting any of hezbollah's interests. Because they know what would happen if they did... The would have to beg the UN again to stop the fighting..
11. #10 you are so funny
Bilax   (08.23.13)
Israel didn't beg to stop the war, it was the Hizbollah would begged and screamed help!! Israel was close to demolishing their entire neighborhood when all the useful idiots from the US, UN and EU prevented Israel from finishing the job, and look where we are now!! Stupid in the UK, your turn will arrive soon.
12. #1 - EXACTLY HOW do you plan to do that?
spyguy ,   seattle   (08.23.13)
Do you realize that if Israel starts a war with Lebanon, thousands of Israelis will lose their lives. Per the IDF there are more than 50,000 missiles pointed at Israel and I can guarantee that there are a lot less than 50,000 Iron Dome missiles in all of Israel. So after the Iron Dome batteries are used up, then what? You may not like it , but Israel no longer has a military option . Do NOT start a war that you could very well lose, or at the very least have your economy destroyed and thousands killed for no net change.
13. #10 - hoky poky
Ram ,   London   (08.23.13)
Yep! Israel begged the UN to stop the fighting, Hezbollah obliged and Hassan Nasrallah went into permanent hiding. It's all so logical to mentally challenged primitive minds.
14. #10. You obviously KNOW NOTHING about Lebanon
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (08.23.13)
The majority of Lebanese - Muslim Christian Druze regard Hezbollah as a gross violation of Lebanese Sovereignity Its like the IRA walking around the whole of South West England with their Militias free to do as they please and making it a No Mans Land for everyone else And laughingly Hezbollah say you WILL accept our protection..or else? And in any case Hezbollahs FIRST loyalty is NOT to Lebanon but to Iran So go to Lebanon talk to Lebanese people and find out what THEY THINK of Hezbollah Then find out why more and more young Hezbollah Militia are deserting this miserable sinking ship

That’s what everyone said before the Six-Day War. For a “spy” you know very little.

your warning was duly noted at the IDF office of underwear garments procurement #15, his nickname was probably given in high school after being caught spying into the girls locker room through a hole in the wall
18. well that's a bunch of tunnels (is that good?
david ,   northern israel   (08.23.13)
19. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.23.13)
Well, if Israel turns Lebanon into a giant glowing cinder, I don't think we'd be too terribly concerned about Israeli deaths. Especially since the prevailing winds head northward. We aren't going to lose any wars. And if we ever feel that may happen, we will take much of the world with us, and render whatever is left uninhabitable for the next 100,000 years. We are NOT going gently into that good night ever again. The day of herding Jews into gas chambers -- or their twenty-first century equivalent -- is over. Something you would do well to keep in mind. If we go ... you go. Fair's fair.
20. Israel should help the Christians remove Nasrallah and scum.
David ,   Hartford USA   (08.23.13)
Lebanon must cleansed of sociopathic Islamo-trash. Nasrallah must be silenced and the Christians must retake their country. 50,000 missiles? Who made up that number? If missiles come raining down on Israel for 2 minutes, I assure you that Lebanon will be a wasteland within 48 hours- and Hizbollah will be responsible for it. Before Israel has to clean up Lebanon, let's help the Lebanese do it for themselves.

Natan ,   USA   (08.23.13)
Sorry bud but you are not too smart. There is a song titled "i left my heart in San Fransisco" In your case it goes something like" I left my brain in Seattle" While Hizbollah may have 50,000 missiles, they do not have 50,000 launchers and\or sites. The way your pea brain works, you think that they will fire all 50,000 simultaneously. Once the first missiles are fired it is "Sayonara Nassralah" and good bye all launch sites. Now it is time for you to take down Nassralah's picture from your bedroom walls and look for another A..hole to worship.
22. #8. I agree with #7 and not at all ashamed about it.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.23.13)
23. Michel Sleiman & Lebanon sovereignty
Alan ,   Canada   (08.23.13)
President Sleiman complains about Israel violating Lebanon sovereignty, an occasional event done in retaliation for attacks coming from his country. He is less vocal & effective in fighting the permanent loss of sovereignty that Hezbollah & the Jibril organization are imposing on Lebanon which has become a pawn in the hands of the Iranian & Syrian murderous despots.
24. Back to where you crawled from scumbag U do not belong in UK
Son of Cyrus ,   UK   (08.23.13)
25. "Suleiman: the firing undermines Lebanon sovereignty".
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.23.13)
Lebanon's sovereignty has been undermined for years by Assad & Hezbollah. The Lebanese succeeded in chasing Assad's troops out of the Lebanon but unfortunately, Hezbollah (Syria's right arm / proxy) did not go with them. They remained to exercise authority over Lebanon on behalf of Syria and the Lebanese people seem incapable of dislodging them and consigning them to the garbage. That is where Lebanon's sovereignty is being undermined to this day - the iron fist of Assad wielded by Hezbollah over the Lebanese people.
26. Tougher response?
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (08.23.13)
Don't talk about it. Do it.
27. At 19 & 21:
Feras ,   Italy   (08.23.13)
if you were so right, if you were so informative and powerful, why aren't you the commanders of chief in Israel..?? right. as far as war goes, if any of you were right, war would have begin by now, but guess what, it ain't gonna happen unless it's the VERY last option. things have changed... these groups are powerful now than even before... Israeli commanders take it seriously. ALOT more than you both do.
