34. #30. Polls show most Israelis oppose ceding Judea/Samaria.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.25.13)
You ask, Which polls how most Israelis oppose ceding Judea and Samaria? Read Ynet August 6, 2013 with a byline from Reuters. "Polls Show Most Israelis Against Withdrawing to Pre-1967 Borders Even With Landswaps". Next stupid question? We've been hearing that Fictional Palestine is coming for decades. More fictional declarations of Palestine statehood may be coming. But there are too many smart, patriotic Israelis who are prepared to stop such a catastrophe.
35. A business that employs Jews & Arabs is not a "settlement"
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (08.25.13)
36. #24. Thousands of intl. lawyers prove Israel owns J/S.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.25.13)
The first obvious flaw in your argument is that Palestine was never a state and never will be one. Moreover, Judea and Samaria are part of the Jewish Homeland Mandate. For many reasons, which have been incontrovertibly proven by thousands of international law experts, Israel is the legal owner of Judea and Samaria. About 1,100 recently recently signed a single petition to the E.U. proving Israel's ownership of Judea and Samaria.
37. # 28 "proud to be European"
Non Jew(pro-Israeli) ,   UK   (08.25.13)
Then why don't you go back to Europe which you love and leave the Jewish State of Israel which you hate? Which European country do you come from and in what sense are you loyal to your most gracious and generous Jewish host nation? Are you sure that you're not Gregg from Haifa? Because you sure speak like him.
38. #36 Chaim

How many of these "lawyers" are non jews???
39. Israel needs another Menachem Begin
Sidney ,   USA   (08.25.13)
The EU would not not even try this pressure on him. As a proud Jew and Israeli he would have told them what to do with their money. Being Begin, it would have been in more polite language than I would use. And here is a thought that I have not seen, while EU governments love Muslims their people do not. Made in the West Bank might actually be a selling point in Europe.
40. No 37 he lives in Israel
Israeli   (08.25.13)
He doesn't live in some illegal settlements. Most of us only dream about giving back this piece of land (with whoever lives on it). Non Jewish immigrant works and lives in Israel. He said it few times. He's therefore entitled to express his opinion because he certainly serves the Israeli society more than you do from your UK armchair

42. #24 then perhaps you can explain these
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.25.13)
Chinese invasion, occupation and colonization of Tibet 1950. Turkish invasion, occupation, ethnic cleansing, and colonization of Cyprus 1974, British invasion, occupation, ethnic cleansing of Diego Garcia 1965. Whereas our legal claims to the territory were under international laws starting in 1920 and affirmed under Article 80 of the UN Charter. Where is there a single law claim for the Arabs? Please explain those minor facts
43. Travel
Tzippi ,   New Haven, USA   (08.25.13)
My husband and I are going to be traveling the world this year and we are boycotting Europe. I would suggest that Israeli's do the same.
44. Europeans doing the work for Abbas!
tiki ,   belgium   (08.25.13)
So, he can travel around Europe and collect money to put in Swiss bank accounts. Now It's up to Israel to show if she has spine or only tough talk! If she gives in now to the Europeans, she might as well close the door on the way out! It's the end of her! In the eyes of the world it's only the 'correction of a faulty decision, the wrong finally put right! They have been waiting a long time for this moment! The ball is in Israels court. Punch it back or play along and sign your own demise! 65 years! It was nice while it lasted because Jews probably don't deserve a state, only a European Ghetto!
45. Nothing new, if we surrender, they will kill us
Igor ,   T"A, Israel   (08.25.13)
"First they came for those who lived in Gaza - I said nothing because I do not live in Gaza. Then they came for those who lived in Judea and Samaria - I said nothing because I do not live in Judea and Samaria. And when they came for me, there was nobody to stand up for me".
46. # 40, Nr 37 is also entitled to his opinion
Ilan Gavni ,   ISRAEL   (08.25.13)
The fact that Non-Jewish Immigrant lives in Israel doesn't make him loyal to Israel. Citizenship doesn't imply loyalty. He sides with the Arabs. He hates Israel. He denies Israel's right to exist as a Jewish national homeland. He denies thousands of years of Jewish history in Israel. He claims we are "foreigners" in Israel. He claims we have "no right" to the Temple Mount. If you don't see that he is an anti-Semite, yo're either blind or an anti-Semite yourself. There are no "illegal settlements" - Israeli cities in Judea and Shomron are perfectly legal - the Balfour Declaration, the Anglo-American treaty and the San Remo treaty give Israel legal rights to all the land on both sides of river Jordan. Most of us Israelis want Judea and Samaria to remain Israeli and I'm sure you're neither Jewish nor an Israeli citizen. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but treason is not a democratic right. Non-Jewish Immigrant keeps stabbing Israel in the back so he is of no use to Israel at all. He should be deported at once from Israel. Ironically, you refer to "armchairs" ONLY to people outside of Israel or inside Israel with pro-Israeli views - you do not question anti-Semites in Israel and abroad.

So because there's civil war in Syria Israel should be allowed to steal Palestinian land with impunity and they should look the other way ? ,...
48. You are completely wrong Sara #1
Rachel   (08.25.13)
Israel has the right to build in its own land. The British empire devided the palestinian province in 2 parts - 1 Jewish part and 1 arab part. The jewish part - The Jewish homeland with the borders from west of the Jordan river to the Medetiranean sea and the arab part from the east of the Jordan river and the rest of the palestinian province. These decisions are the San Remo agreements from 1922 done after the Ottoman empire break down after WWI. Since the agreements and decisions done at San Remo by the League of Nations the arabs have faught against it with different means. The latest ones an invention that appeared in the mid 1960:s - Palestine/ palestinian people, apartheid, occupation etc. The israeli left and the jewsih left pushed on since history and jewish heritage is not important for them, and groups as peace now, btzelem etc are funded by the EU, US, arab money to be used against Israel. The arabs have a goal - erase the Jewish state from the world map, kill Jews and have a Panarabic islamic entity where Israel is today.
49. 1967 green line
DOV ,   US   (08.25.13)
It’s time Israel stands up to its right of existence beyond the 1967 green line. We were not premited to feel our historical soul at the site of our holiest temple before 1967. The green line should be not used for any negotiations. We own our land historically and legally. It is up to Israelis to grant independence to the occupiers but how could we?

Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (08.25.13)
You can get whatever result you want by phrasing questions so you get the answer you want. A poll provided by settlers is not worth the paper it is written on. Fact is normal decent Israelis when they see the affect of the sanctions on their lives will give very different answers sometime down the line. The days when the Settlers could manipulate the media for their own ends is coming to an end.
53. #48 Rachel
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (08.25.13)
I fully agree Israel has the right to build whatever it wants in Israel. Anywhere beyond the greenline is illegal as that is not part of Israel
54. Never mind the
Barney ,   USA   (08.25.13)
Gassing in Syria, suicide bombing in Iraq, most every Islamic country, defacing girls for learning, "honor killing finding its way to North America and on and on lack oh F human rights in Iran. Homosexuals publicly hanging from cranes and number 11 is rightarabs will lose jobs as they did when they destroyed agriculture in gaza. It is true what they say that the Arab would rather sit in the dark and blame the Jew than fix the light. Meantime I will buy Israel first on everything including stock market

Etienne Prinsloo ,   Nova Scotia, Canada   (08.25.13)
Bravo Europe, you have made your Muslim masters happy again. Now please stop the pretences, get out of the closet, fully embrace Islam and drop sanctions against Iran and Syria. But then again, two faced back handedness is the EU way, is it not?
57. 1967 green line

PaulD ,   Jerusalem   (08.25.13)
attention. The EU will never recover economically, and they will never be able to survive Islamic aggression for control of European institutions. If the EU does recover economically, it will only be long enough from them to finance the hel-l they will soon be dragged into in the M.E.. The days of blaming Jews for their miserable lives will come to an abrupt end.
59. Horizon 2020
DOV ,   USA   (08.25.13)
The EU is morally and ethically corrupt using a noble and important initiative as the Horizon 2020 into strong arm tactics. There is nothing to suggest any form of political innuendo in this program.
60. arabs dominate europe?
elke ,   USA   (08.25.13)
Laughing out load. Europe - 5% Muslim. Israel - 20% Muslim. BTW, the United States has had a similar injunction against granting funds to settlements since 1976.
