Do you ever get tired of your pointless Israel bashing which no one ever even pays any attention to? How much are you getting paid for this?
3. What is Hoffman smoking???
Norman   (08.26.13)
Hoffman slammed Bennett's decision, saying he was supporting extremist positions of religious chief "at the expense of Israel's Women Was it not other Israeli women and way more than the small odd group of WOW that stopped the WOW from making trouble at the most holiest place in Israel.
4. Only in israel...
Asa ,   Jerusalem   (08.26.13)
Only in israel can you make a racist statement like "black hatted freaks" and get away with antisemitism like you espouse. if it bothers you that haredi judaism is the authentic unchanged judaism of your grand parents and ancestors, thats not their problem, its yours.
5. Another Palestinian tribe with demands on Ierushalaim...

6. WOW slams Bennett.
Steve   (08.26.13)
I once dated a woman like Anat Hoffman, leader of the Women of the Wall. She slammed me almost daily like Hoffman slammed Naftali Bennett for his compromise.

8. how do they do it?
larry ,   LA   (08.26.13)
there are less than ten ladies protesting yet they seem to be able to grab the headlines. other groups can have hundreds of protesters yet no news media cares. What is their secret of success? is it that the news media likes them because they draw interest or the ''righteousness" of their demands? Or is it the money they have at their disposable to hire professional publicity agents to help stir up interest? I believe the latter.
9. # 1 you are completely ignorant of your own religion

11. NOn-Hareidi opinions
Ellen ,   Israel/NYC   (08.26.13)
I am not Hareidi. I am a modern Orthodox Zionist women. I was at the kotel yesterday and offer the following observations. a. no idea where this "protest" is taking place. I didn't see anything or anyone. b. I do not need, or want the WOW praying where they can disturb me in my traditional Orthodox prayer. It has NOTHING to do with being Ultra and everything to do with MY rights, MY feelings etc. WOW could care less for anyone but themselves.Claiming only Hareidi opposition is setting up a smokescreen in an attempt to enlist the support of people who don't totally understand what they are doing. BTW re: no panhandling--How about enforcing that at the Kotel Plaza area too!
12. English speaking press in rave painting ravvin as a freak.
Miron ,   USA   (08.26.13)

13. Compromise Only Goes One Way
Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (08.26.13)
This isn't egalitarianism, it's segregation. Once again, women are moved to the back of the bus. Bennett is solving the problem by exiling the women. This solution denies women equal access to the wall and exiles them to a distant locale. Why not move the Haridim, they are the ones who don't know how to behave. Why is it they are never expected to compromise?
14. Very hard read
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (08.26.13)
It was very difficult to read this article with all the mistakes. It seems like a bad computer translation from the Hebrew. I would think Ynet would have better editors and proofreaders.

and don't truly believe factual history So even Jews who reject religion still believe the Haredi lie you read in #4 Until Jews shatter that lie and accept history and fact, Haredim will continue to rule you
20. #8 la la Larry in La La land
Haim ,   TA   (08.26.13)
Last time i checked LA is in the USA not Israel , you cannot even commit to Israel by making aliah yet you feel it your right to tell others how to live their lives in Israel, quite honestly its none of your bussiness, so keep your arm chair politics to your self as quite obviously the material trappings of LA life matter more to you.
21. to split. its called TRADITION and it is a huge part
ari ,   israel   (08.26.13)
of the the religion itself. without it what is the point? Pathetic. please, you are just digging yourself into a deaper and deaper hole....
22. #13
Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (08.26.13)
The lie goes deeper than that. In Shmuel Aleph, the Jews demanded an absolute rule, a king in preference to the Judges. The concept of a king means absolute authority and such things as rabbinic courts. Basically, and forgive my over simplification it's come down to a battle between those who see religion as something fluid and evolving and those who see it as static. There are no winners and losers in this battle just division.
23. 22 I think you make a critical point
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   netzarim.co.il   (08.26.13)
As I see it, the historical, Torah she-Bikhtav (Tanakh -- I can't write Biblical because Christians would, wrongly, presume their NT into what I'm posting), PRINCIPLES of Torah MUST be static while the details of application MUST progress along with mankind in order to remain relevant. I think the most basic problem is that liberals throw out the principles along with the details of application while the Ultra-Orthodox Haredim see only the details of application, have grown completely oblivious to the historical principles of Torah, and focus entirely on fighting against any progress in the details of application. They demonstrate by their repeated evil behavior that they have no more clue about the principles of Torah than the Reform and other non-Orthodox.
24. Wow, Wow, Wow,,,,WOW
Larry Commings ,   Colon Springs, U.S.   (08.26.13)
What are these Gentiles praying for,,,, a person goes to a wall to pray? Jews are suppose to pray in a Temple, Synagogue, Knesset, house of worship, Tabernacle,,, I mean what do and are these Gentiles praying for,,,,,,,,, to keep this confusion, and conflict going everyday to eternity? "Fullness of the Gentiles", has so much meaning you can believe and is so Prophetically correct. Geeesh, a Gentile praying at a wall,,,,,,,,,, Jews pray in a TEMPLE.
25. Outmoded Ideas
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot   (08.27.13)
The separation of the sexes is not mandated by the Torah. The mandate comes from Halacha, laws propagated by the Rabbis. The basics idea was to prevent sin mostly by men. Here are some examples of Halacha made many years ago and in today's world appear to be overly excessive. 1. Staring at members of the opposite sex is also forbidden. The Torah states that it is forbidden to "gaze at idols." "Idols" in this refers is a reference to women. 2. The Pirkei Avot states that one should not socialize with women, including one's own wife, in order to avoid being sent to Gehinnom. If socializing with one's wife is a serious offense, how much worse is it to socialize with other women? 3. Family members should not eat meals together, or even in the same room at the same time, even on Sabbath and on festivals. It is preferable that the women eat while the men attend shul, and the men eat after arrival home. The time in which men are in shul is viewed as a time for women to be separated from men in the home. In public 4. Men, especially, when in public, must strive to avoid to inevitable site of women. Jewish women have an obligation to avoid having themselves seen by men. 5. Attendance at an event with mixed gender seating, such as a wedding, concert, or meeting, is forbidden. Even if a man is not seated directly next to a woman, he is putting himself at risk.
26. Reply to 13 Moved to back of bus?
Joseph ,   London England   (08.27.13)
Perhaps the women who follow Jewish tradition are at the Kotel every day and the handful of WoW come once a month with their publicity stunt and media circus. It's neither Minhag Avoseinu nor Minhag haMakom for women to don tefillin and tallis or to lein from a Sefer Torah. They were given a separate area for their service and they are welcome to then join the main Western Wall Plaza. Everywhere in the world there are separate sites for traditional and reform Jewish worship. This was the view of the Israeli Supreme Court. Kasiva v'Chasima Tova.
27. Number 25. Halacha
Danny ,   London England   (08.27.13)
Each of your examples is inaccurate. According to Reb Moshe Feinstein in Ingros Moshe, the separation during prayers is a Halacha leMoshe Mi'Sinai and not Rabbinic as you suggest. Gazing at women is prohibited if you have immoral intentions, but also because it's offensive to women. Pirkei Avos says a man shouldn't behave in a manner that lowers him in his wife's eyes. Points 3, 4 and 5 are simply not true.
28. All Jews and Gentiles are welcome
Danny ,   London England   (08.27.13)
Every holy place has its own etiquette. In churches men take off their hats, in mosques and Hindu temples people take off their shoes, in synagogues men and married women cover their hair. Those who reject etiquette should do so discreetly. It is not Minhag Jerusalem for women to don tefillin and wrap themselves in men's talisos to lein from a Sefer Torah. They are welcome to do such things at a separate area of the Kosel and then to join the Ezras Nashim of the Western Wall Plaza, where people of all faiths are welcome.
