assad is no match for the us and its allies. he has not been able to defeat rebels who are very poorly armed. assad has committed genocide, torture and rape of even small children. assad is a monster who is a war criminal and who has committed serious crimes against humanity.

All post Shoah Jews ought be thankful that the Jewish State has a Warrior Capacity in this Jungle and has Good Armaments unlike our Martyed who had Pistols and Primitive weapons in the Warsaw and Other Ghetto and Death Centre Uprisings.

Assad was the most popular head of state in England and France. French loved him amd his wife. Now they think that Brothers are stonger, and they switched the sides. I wouldn't trust the French/Brits to watch my coat. And I would not trust Obama anything. US made mistakes one after the other: 1st Gulf war fighting for Saudis and Kuwaitis, bombing Serbs (which led later to 911, etc).
9. Assad is right
(08.26.13)
The US (320 millon people) supported by the UK (63 million), France (64 million) and Turkey (76 million) will easily defeat Assad (20 million). But war is not about how many people you kill, but the political gains you make. An American attack on Syria would be illegal under international law and would shatter, once and for all, Americans special standing in the world. Second, what does Obama want to achieve? All that will happen is that the US armed forces will become a tool for global Jihad, facilitating, if not participating in, the genocide of Christians, Alawi, Shia and Druze in Syria. This is not the America of the Founding Fathers.
10.  Al Jolson is not calling the tune here
ky   (08.26.13)
when will the Obama led alliance of fools realize that if they unleash weapons against Syria with such thin evidence t it will be a complete disaster for them. There is a strong probability that an Al is singing the background chorus to the gas attacks and this Al is certainly not Jolson. Bombing Syria and creating further anarchy there is not the way forward.
11. Drones are also not the America of our Founding Fathers
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (08.26.13)
or TV, Computers, airplanes, a lot of stuff not available then as now. I doubt any Muslim nation has ever made any political gains ever other than Islamic murderous takeovers from equally murderous former dictators and tyrants. May I ask what 'international law' you quote ( without reference) that would prevent the US and allies from attacking Syria? BUILD FASTER !!!
12. im confused
corey windom ,   columbia tn   (08.26.13)
I just don't understand why everyone acts like the US just wants war all the time yet everything everyone else says or does is ignored.. look at this article. it talks about france and what they have said about taking military action yet there is not one quote from any americans that even hint at the possibility of a war. We actually said that it was to early to tell.. We get blamed for everything and its extremely irritating. This is gonna be just like north korea, everyone is going to keep talking bad about us, and we are not going to respond. people will find any excuse they can to talk bad about us...

Today's headlines in the UK Press. US AND BRITAIN PREPARE TO BOMB SYRIA. I don't know where they got that notion from. Perhaps from the French?

and its allies. Saddam Hussein's Republican guard also committed terrible crimes against the people of Kuwait, the US went in overconfident and sure of victory (while George W made of fool of himself in his air force pilot Halloween costume), and what did the US accomplish there? Democracy for Iraq? Freedom? Peace? Nothing, only appx 32,000 American dead and wounded. And the same will happen in Syria and probably worse, because unlike Collin Powell, who tried to convince the world that Saddam had WMD (milk powder factories), Assad has proven that he HAS WMD's and will use them.
