Canadian Parliamentarians know not to speak in a certain part of Parliament because Americans can use listening devices to hear what is being said from their embassy across the street. In my opinion If any country threatens Israel with a blockaid economic boycott embargos and starvation, blockaid or destruction that to me is a act of war against Israel and Israel should treat it as sort as a policy. In My Opinion Israel should develop a policy as a country to protect herself from Boycotts and threats. In my opinion Israel as a policy should develop a policy of mutually assured destruction just like other countries. Those countries who are at odds with Israel including so called friends now have no fear of Israel and seek to harm Israel both militarily, economically, and politically. Israel is not a Third World country but a highly technical and militarily advanced country. Israel has the power to develop both a technical a.k.a. cyber warfare, and a military based deterrence as well as a legal deterrence such as lawsuits against organizations that boycott. Israel in my opinion should be prepared to use such a policy in the event that she is threatened with her existence by any country. That threat to existence would include in my opinion threats to blockade, economic starvation, military threats, and diplomatic isolation. The only way in my opinion that Israel will survive and be respected as an independent country is for Israel to start acting as independent country instead of a Third World colonial province who is scared of what other countries think and does what is best for other countries instead of what is best for Israel. Israel also in my opinion must start to consider new potential threats from the south and start building up her Army especially armored forces to meet the threat. Israel must force in my opinion force every country that has diplomatic relations with Israel to move their embassy to Jerusalem. Israel should determine what capital she has not the world

With this new info, its time for America to release Pollard.

When any high ranking US official sits down with Israeli and Palestinian politicians behind closed doors, he doesn't say "We're here to talk peace". Instead he says "If you don't play by our rules, those nasty pictures, bank account details, tape recordings, or whatever the skeleton in the closet is, might become tomorrow's front page news. Now do I have your attention?". To which they ALL reply: "Yes Sir". There worst nightmare would be negotiating with honest politicians. Now you know why there are NO poor Israeli or Palestinian politicians.

Regarding Pollard, there already was an attempt to swap his freedom with an American Spy, Yosef Amit. Amit declined to be swapped. While I would empathize with anyone who makes Israel a better place as an Israeli, Pollard was nothing more than a greedy liar. Read his bio and his background and you'll see he spied for Pakistan and South Africa as well, for money. He was no patriot, just a disturbed and depraved human, and for that I feel sorry for him. But I will agree his sentence is perhaps excessive. Snowden, he seems to have some weird holes in his stories/background, and he is far from a genius. He really abused his position, but he doesn't seem to be approaching it in the ways someone like Pollard did. Apples to oranges as you say.
