Calabi ,   Sydney Aust   (08.30.13)
No other way!!! Purely for survival otherwise extinct. Thank God gaza is not a size significant enough to destroy Israel but they will try to invade when Israel go backward to the 1967 lines. Imagine whoever in the past return Golan Height to Syria in exchange for peace? I actually perspired when Israel talk about returning GH!!!! God bless Israel

4. That's called a clear answer!
tiki ,   belgium   (08.30.13)
Instead of wasting all this time "talking about peace", there is one solution nobody wants to talk about, the ONLY right & just solution. Jordan with an Arab Palestinian majority is Palestine! The country with a French majority is called France! The country with the British majority is called Britain! etc.etc.etc. Only the country with a Palestinian majority is for some odd reason called Jordan......, after a river.

6. You are so funny Sa'ar...
Brad ,   USA   (08.30.13)
You will do what we tell you to do. We invest in your economy about $3.5 bn almost every year, through economical investments, arms contracts and money fund transfers. It is by us that you live - it was us who sent you the relief funds after Yom Kippur war in 1971. It was us who prevent the whole Arab nation to drop all their bombs on your women, children and elder. It was us who backed you all the way. And if we say "Now, there will be 2 states, one for Palestinians, one for Jews", there will be 2 states, one for Palestinians, one for Jews.
7. #6 Bred
Sergio ,   Tel Aviv   (08.30.13)
Dear Bred. The 3.5 billions that you are talking about aren't that important to our economy and we will be able to survive without them. It is a tradition more then necessity. US "gives" us money and later on uses the technology we developed etc. So we kinda stay even. So really not. We are not Egypt and our economy is way different. Do you really actually think that 3.5 billions are holding our country ? Please triple check your facts.
8. A secret -
Ralph Haglund ,   Sweden   (08.30.13)
Israel WON the war in 1967 and 1973! The Security Council said ub ยง242 that Israel should leave land, not ALL land, when it had got peace, and Egypt got back all of Sinai. And - in area C there are maybe 7 times more Jews than Arabs and the proportion grows all the time - so if someone should be deported it is obviously the arabs there. Then put the border Abbas wants around area A, B, with an unguarded bridge over to Jordan from Jericho.
9. #6 - $3.5 billions is 1-2 per cent of our budget,
Igor ,   Israel   (08.30.13)
we can well do without them. Especially now that we have a gas. The money is invested in the U.S. military-industrial complex, America just subsidizes its own industry. And big mouth Obama is not America, in three years he will become history and it will be a very shameful history. We can wait.
10. #6 US+EU know they can't impose solution
Sam ,   Canada   (08.30.13)
The Palestinians and Israelis go to talks to please the US+EU but they are not going to have a solution imposed on them. The positions of Israel and the Palestinians are far apart so there will be a lot of talking and not much doing. The US and EU are finding out that they don't have any great options in the mideast.
11. #6...
Jayson ,   Netanya   (08.30.13)
We will always respect the US and listen to their input... but Israel is our land and we can do whatever we please... 67 boarders can't happen b/c it leaves us defenseless to our enemies that want to 'push us into the sea' ...And before you lay facts...make sure they are correct.. Yom Kippur War was in 1973 NOT in 71...

13. Obama UNSC '67 borders coming in 2014, 2 States, 1 Country
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN   (08.30.13)
...Palestine Israel.
14. #13 Why?Because that's what you want?
Sam ,   Canada   (08.30.13)
Whatever Obama says, whatever the UN says, Jews don't agree to giving up their Jewish majority country. Pro-Palestinians are looking for every which way to gain control over both the West Bank and Israel proper. It's why they don't want to make peace. Jews don't buy into it at all. It's not going to happen.
15. #6. You are so funny, Brad. Judea/Samaria are forever.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.30.13)
Obama will soon be gone, much to the joy of every sane American. However, Israel, including Judea and Samaria, are here forever. Judea and Samara belonged to Jews 3,500 years ago and they will belong to Jews 3,500 years from now.

18. #6 "You will do what we tell you to do."
A ,   Belgium   (08.30.13)
Sure, dude, the whole world is Americas whore, isn't it? Putin, Assad, Lil' Kim, China...you've got the world shaking in their shoes, don't you? Just another "Proudly Made in the U.S.A." hot air bag, that's all you are.
19. #6 - yeah, no Brad
William ,   Israel   (08.30.13)
You do not invest $3.5Bn in Israel's economy. You send them credits which they invest in YOUR economy with weapons purchases. Plus Israel sends startup firms to the US which produce jobs, also aiding in your economy. In Massachusetts alone, Israeli businesses contributed $7.8 Billion in total revenue, and 21,550 jobs in 2009. That's one year, and with one State. Considered yourself repaid.
20. #12- "you speak like a spoiled little boy"

which also explains why you're still over-weight, jobless, and living in your mother's basement. If you click your ruby slippers together harder, you might succeed.

BUT WAS IT EVER SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED? I HOPE NOT!

Oh! You mean the way we paid attention to the babblings of the United States when we blew up the reactor in Baghdad? What kind of a war do you think you would have had in 1991-92 had we not done that? Or perhaps you are referring to Israel's destruction of the budding Syrian nuclear reactor that Israel destroyed in 2007? Brad -- (a) the Yom Kippur War was in 1973; and (b) the United States did not a damned thing until Israel had completely encircled the Egyptian Third Army, cut their supply lines, and landed Israeli troops on the West Bank of the Suez Canal with nothing standing in their way should they have chosen to march on Cairo. Please. We do not do what the United States wants. Had we done so, our destruction would have been assured. Fortunately, the Jewish people are very, very, VERY smart. And we most certainly do not take our marching orders from the United States -- or any other country.
24. #20, William, not all of us UC Berkeley students are trolls,
Lobo ,   UC Berkeley   (08.31.13)
Most, like myself, are strongly pro-Israel. Maybe #12 has been hanging out with the non-student professional protesters lingering around campus. Probably learned his drivel there.
25. less than 67 lines for Israel
barney rubble   (09.01.13)
given the Palestinians have prehistoric roots in the area and were 2/3 of the population in 1947 I think they are entitled to more land than the 22% that the 67 borders would give them. and the idea that the regions superpower backed by the world's only supowerpower can't defend borders is ridiculous. its the Palestinian State that needs to concern itself with defendable borders given Israel's expansionism
