Jacob Edelman ,   New York   (08.30.13)
Dear Mr. Ambassador: 60% of the US public are against ANY involvement in Syria, according to a poll published yesterday. And yet some persist to talk about US national interests in this matter and how important it is for USA to take action. Bashar Al-Assad is a dictator. the Syrian Baath party are an instrument of terror. We ALL agree. However, bombing military targets will not remove them. Declaring them war criminals and making them liable for their actions before international tribunal(s) will .
3. Better hurry...
Daniel   (08.30.13)
...while there are still some civilians left to kill. You know, send a drone to bomb a wedding or sumthin'.
4. Syria strike
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (08.30.13)
Go ahead, strike Syria. The Zioperialists will be on the receiving end of an historical thumping, even in their heartlands. And as a bonus, all of Palestine might, at long last, be liberated from the Zionist yoke.
5. Why now?
Koose E Mack ,   NY USA   (08.30.13)
If the US were to be involved in the Syrian conflict for "humanitarian reasons", we should have gone in when it began two years ago. After hundreds of thousands of deaths, shooting cruise missiles into Syria will not abate the crisis or the mortality rate. Yes, gas is a dastardly weapon...but a bullet, bomb, missile, explosives cause the same end effect.
6. #1 I see your gutless country won't lift a finger
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (08.30.13)
You know how the terrorists will interpret that. "We can let off WMD in London without fear of retribution."
7. Perhaps there will an impeachment, too?
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (08.30.13)
8. Friday - which one?
Madeleine ,   Israel   (08.30.13)
Well this Friday is almost over, at least for us Israelis. Maybe it shold be Saturday, or possibly Monday. So many different days have been mooted. What a farce. I guess it depends on Hussein Obama's golf schedule.
9. No. Noodles to no. 1
Madeleine ,   Israel   (08.30.13)
Well said Noodles. Supercilious Britain is due for a little present from its radical Moslem population. They're so busy tellin us what to do and how to act, let's see how they like being on the receiving end.
10. History lesson for the young keyboard fighters
Tom W ,   USA   (08.30.13)
Wherever the Russians are present the West would back off. It was the same in '56 Hungary, '68 Prague, '67 Israel-Arab war: after the Vietnam fiasco the U.S. pick only easy, low hanging fruits like Libya, Grenada and the likes. Now it's even worse: the incompetent teleprompter reader is no match for the experienced Putin and his Chinese ally. Old America that still might live in your fantasies is finished: this is the new, PC, "multikultist", anti-Israeli Obamerica you Jews voted for. Soon you will pay the bill for it.
11. America is bankrupt...they are poor

and in dire straits. They have no stomach for foreign wars. They have had it with Iran Afghanistan etc etc. They simply couldn't care less. The congress will not agree and Obama will try what he can to pretend, but that's all he ever does. The joke is on Israel as you always kowtoe to the Americans who will at a time of need, throw you under the bus. Get it thru your heads, only you can safeguard Israel. Never ever depend on anyone.
12. @6 UK is using common sense
UK ,   Daz   (08.30.13)
Striking Syria will not end the violence, look at Iraq and Libya. Your country (US) who used Napalm and Agent Orange in Vietnam and depleted uranium in Iraq (all chemical weapons) has learnt nothing from the past.
13. American falsity. We love u. We support u. We will always pr
Adi ,   Zurich   (08.30.13)
American falsity. We love u. We support u. We will always protect u. Side by side..... Obama then pressures his peace plan on Israel and endangers every Israeli. Enough of this transparent lie public relations rhetoric.
14. Al, I sense your tears. You wish you were as poor &bankrupt
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.30.13)
15. # 4 Do you know how silly you look?
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (08.30.13)
Always the dire predictions of doom for Israel. You are so predictable. I can see you foaming at the mouth while you sit at your keyboard. It's a wonder you have not had a stroke yet. You need to realax, read a Bible and see how God feels about Israel and what really is going to happen in the middle east. (and please don't give me any of your replacement theology crap.) You have a lot to learn and not much time.

Which military objectives shall be achieved by shooting some cruise missiles at empty buildings in Syria?

Is that what you think? Well, thank you for proving your idiocy (yet again). A Syrian attack upon Israel will yield nothing but a giant smoking crater where Syria used to be. Tighten that cilice. Whip yourself a little harder. Let us know when it starts to feel really, REALLY good. Call it a reality check.
