The US also is a sworn enemy of Syria for decades and has in fact staged attacks inside of Syria on a few occasions during the Iraq war, I do admit they where probably pale in comparison to what Israel has done, however why should we deploy our military 10,000 kilometers away when Jordan, Turkey, Israel just to name a few has more than enough capabilities to nip this disaster in the bud.
