I wonder why arab israeli draft dodgers suddenly turn into fierce warriors, as far as their own country is not involved. This initiative should be backed, so as to harm the syrian regime without costing any jewish life.
2. Concerning trend
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (09.03.13)
Individuals who get up and disappear like this usually join the radical muslim rebels whose majority are not even Syrians and are known to have committed atrocities against civilians. If those radicals make it back home, they will spread their radical views locally and create a security threat. Government should be concerned with this radicalization among Israeli Muslims and work to prevent it. Tough laws alone are not enough, eliminating poverty and creating jobs would give hope and prevent many from being radicalized.
3. #1 draft dodgers
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (09.03.13)
Me personally believe all Israelis should serve (regardless of religion) and all should be given equal employment and economic opportunity. Even though by Israeli law majority of Israeli-Arabs do not have to serve, many volunteer which is exact opposite of draft dodgers.

Why do you fear for these traitors who went to an enemy country to fight. They should be followed in the thousands by other traitors. Let them find out for themselves what will happen if Israel is converted to an Islammic state.
5. #3 "many volunteer "
A ,   Belgium   (09.03.13)
To quote Wikipedia," As of 2010 there are 1,473 Arabs volunteering for national service". How many draft age arabs are there in Israel? What miniscule percent of this number is 1,473? I'll bet it isn't "many", more like...a few.

This is a complex issue. Israeli citizens who are Arabs are not exempt from military service or sherut leumi they just are not drafted. They do not in any way have an exemption (a Ptor) like a diabetic patient etc so they are not strictly speaking volunteering if they do serve. There are groups of Bedouin and Druze that are drafted. I agree with you that all Israelis should serve in either the IDF or undertake sherut leumi. If a Muslim Israeli declares himself as an antisemite and cannot stomach IDF service or sherut leumi in an institution where he may have contact with Jews then he must have the option to undertake sherut leumi in Israeli Arab institutions hospitals, Matnas, schools etc. there are many ways Muslim Arabs can contricute to their own community without having to have contact with Jews if this a problem for them. As for Christian Arabs you are our brothers in every way.
