He has been sedated enough. He has significant brain activity and needs to be allowed to recover. At 3 AM universally, hospitals stop the sedation of comotose patients to see if they wake up. Obviously, since he has significant brain activity, he is able to be conscious and should be allowed to be so instead of being overly sedatedd and kept a zombie with haloperidol and other sedatives.

He may have taken a gamble by pulling out of Gaza and lost but Gaza aside he was one of the last great leaders the country had. Even George Bush was intimidated by Sharon, no we have just career politicians. Even had he never been a politician there is no doubt he served his country with distinction in war many times. Now the best thing for him to do is die. He is a vegetable. Once he has died then they can actually remember him for his achievement get all the usual honors given to dead war heros and politicians. I am sure his family don't want to remember him like this. I remember my grandfather had a stroke when he came round he barely responded to people, when he died the whole family saw it as a relief more than anything else and his condition was nothing like Sharon.

Some minimally conscious people are more aware than they can express. I've seen these things close up, unfortunately, with my mother and my wife.
