Israel has every right to live and enjoy their land. Claiming they 'occupy' it smacks of illegitimacy when in fact there is so much historical evidence that it is indeed their land that the those who claim otherwise reveal their own ignorance of history. Where do you think they came from? Where was their origin? Europe? Think that through just a little and examine the facts of the Bible (and don't forget the proofs of the Dead Sea Scrolls) then consider what happened during the occupation of Jerusalem and the rest of Israel by Rome in the first century AD and the destruction of the second temple on the Temple Mount in 70AD. Even if Iran had no nuclear capability, Israel needs a strong deterrent against powers like Egypt ans Syria. Worse: Arab powers tend to jointly strike against Israel. Israel cannot effort to get into a situation, where the lines of defense get stuck and a war turns in a war of attrition. It would bleed out Israel.
