I would rather be shot dead by a bullet than have to suffer the agonizing death of sarin gas. Assad will continue to use chemical weapons against his own people, therefore he must be stopped. you really need to wake up and understand that chemical weapons are weapons of mass destruction. chemical weapons such as the one used in syria have no military use whatever. their sole use is to murder people.

Sarin is the least of it, although turning it loose in, say, the New York City subway will likely kill thousands. Of greater concern are the other weapons of mass destruction in Syria's box of toys. Especially since no one can be certain who controls them, given the mass defection to the rebel factions by high-ranking Syrian military officers. Please do not forget that the toybox also contains botulin toxin, anthrax and the smallpox virus. To name but a few. I am old enough to have been inoculated against smallpox. Smallpox was officially declared eradicated in 1980, but not before Janet Parker died from the disease as a result of a laboratory accident in Birmingham, England. The UK destroyed all its stock then. We don't know what happened to the stocks maintained by the Soviet Union. American stocks are maintained at Fort Dietrich in Maryland. His main achievement was getting the Muslim Brotherhood to take, albeit, temporary control of Egypt. No counting the murdered Copt and burnt and destroyed churches. He promised to bomb Bashar Assad, but gave himself an out by putting to Congress to approve, thus undermining future US Presidents ability to act. Bombing would help Al Qaeda in Syria, and filing to bomb would prolong the agony and help the Jihaddist commit genocide against the remaining Christians and establish Sharia Law as part of their "Islamic chaliphate". The best possible solution for the people of Syria would have been the unthinkable: Bomb and obliterate anything that is armed and moves - both in the Assad Camp and his Hizboulla mercenaris, and the Jihaddists and Al Qaeda elements who oppose him.

Yeah, mine too. Except sarin acts more swiftly in a confined space than Zyklon B did. It's a rather horrific comparison, but I'd say the Syrians got off fairly easily. Ninety-eight percent of my family were not as lucky.
