hellbilly ,   the south   (09.07.13)
we merrican should go out there and bomb all them towelhead sand monkeys, we are tired of them using all that chemical weapon that we sold them and taking all are oil. bara husain ubama should send them all back to their 72 virgins haven.
3. # 1 Too late....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (09.07.13)
Saddam Hussein is already dead.
4. NONO OF THIS would have happened if Obama didn't start his..
Sarah ,   Beruit   (09.07.13)
Arab Spring. I blame the whole thing on OBAMA!!!
5. Obama knows what's best for America
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (09.07.13)
The WMD terrorism may come even quicker by showing cowardice.
6. 1.
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.07.13)
Sold? nope, not sold, rather transported from Iraq to Syria by Sadam.
7. CNN double standard
jerome ,   AKL   (09.07.13)
"Video unverified" I am not blaming any sides, just showing the pictures because they are upsetting" not suggesting chemical attack, no proof bla bla bla bla. Since when you verified whether a Pali video alleging beating by the IDF was authentic before judging, condemning and sentencing all in one report?
8. #1 Steve - Birdi (#6) is right
Devorah   (09.08.13)
And there is also this bit of info that I posted in an earlier article: "BRITAIN allowed firms to sell chemicals to Syria capable of being used to make nerve gas, the Sunday Mail can reveal today. "Export licences for potassium fluoride and sodium fluoride were granted months after the bloody civil war in the Middle East began. "The chemical is capable of being used to make weapons such as sarin, thought to be the nerve gas used in the attack on a rebel-held Damascus suburb which killed nearly 1500 people, including 426 children, 10 days ago." Nevertheless, Obama is unable to produce evidence that these people were, indeed, gassed by the Syrian government as opposed to the extremist rebels who will be given a wider berth (on behalf of the U.S.) if these bombings occur.
9. And what about...
Gadi ,   Israel   (09.08.13)
all the other (more than) 100,000 people were killed in this terrible acts ? does it make any different if they were killed by guns or chemical weapon ? and if Assad wouldn't had used those chemicals and continue killing citizens for the upcoming days, would it be more "comfortable" to the US and UK ?
10. 9.
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.08.13)
I would rather be shot dead by a bullet than have to suffer the agonizing death of sarin gas. Assad will continue to use chemical weapons against his own people, therefore he must be stopped. I hope he gets to pay for the killings, misery, destruction & chaos he has caused. Assad needs to die a very slow & agonizing death.
11. a little glimpse
dahn ,   nyc   (09.08.13)
a little glimpse into what it was like inside the gas chambers at auschwitz.
12. !! Sources for Syria WMD
Ovadiah ben Avraham ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.08.13)
Europe provided chemical precursors and industrial equipment for the manufacturing. Russia provided scientists who have been resident in Syria for decades guiding Syria's chemical weapons development.
13. !! Why Sarin is Worse Than Bullets
Ovadiah ben Avraham ,   Jerusaelm, Israel   (09.08.13)
Sarin can also be placed in warheads on SCUD missiles and shot into Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, or Jordan. There is now a concentration of US troops in Jordan. If Syria hits Tel Aviv with sarin, it may get nasty as Russian troops in Syria (Tartus base, many anti-aircraft battalions) could get sucked up in Israel's retaliatory strike, if you catch my drift. Assad just proved he'll use it. Questions?
14. Does not look authentic.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (09.08.13)
15. Videos can easily be faked.
JMK ,   NYC   (09.08.13)
These videos are all fake. Is video now evidence? We now go to war and kill and destroy because of video?
16. dahn
tracey ,   tel aviv   (09.08.13)
yes exactly what i was thinking. wish i hadnt seen that. wish they would completely take over syria right now.
17. Partition and Ceasefire Best

Ceasefire and. DeJure Partition is a Better Remedy.Sanctions on Syria and Boycott of the Moscow Soccer Final plus the Winter Olympics if Assad and his Barbarous Henchman are not heavily pressures. The Saudis ought keep the rebel Salafi in order .Enough is Enough. Now the Danger of Iran In its catastrophic severity is revealed.
18. #1, 6
shmulke ,   w coast USA   (09.08.13)
Yes, USA sold it to Iraq to use on Iran during their war. then when Iraq knew the USA was going to invade, they transferred the weapons to Syria. That is the main reason for the USA having such a hard-on to attack Syria. They want their weapons back so as not to get embarrassed as to their original source!
19. 9 Gadi,
CJK   (09.08.13)
you really need to wake up and understand that chemical weapons are weapons of mass destruction. chemical weapons such as the one used in syria have no military use whatever. their sole use is to murder people.
20. Hey, folks!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.08.13)
Sarin is the least of it, although turning it loose in, say, the New York City subway will likely kill thousands. Of greater concern are the other weapons of mass destruction in Syria's box of toys. Especially since no one can be certain who controls them, given the mass defection to the rebel factions by high-ranking Syrian military officers. Please do not forget that the toybox also contains botulin toxin, anthrax and the smallpox virus. To name but a few. I am old enough to have been inoculated against smallpox. Smallpox was officially declared eradicated in 1980, but not before Janet Parker died from the disease as a result of a laboratory accident in Birmingham, England. The UK destroyed all its stock then. We don't know what happened to the stocks maintained by the Soviet Union. American stocks are maintained at Fort Dietrich in Maryland. If a smallpox outbreak were to occur, you'll need the stocks in order to make the vaccine. As nightmarish as it is, sarin is the least of our worries. It's inert, it does its thing and dissipates. Some of the deadliest critters are very much alive.
21. Questions I'm Asking
Christy ,   Boston, US   (09.08.13)
1. How were videos taken? 2. What countries make up the numerous countries Kerry spoke of? 3. Why do they think a military strike - where even *more* people would be killed will punish whoever did this? (Those who did this would be in bunkers and not impacted by any strike.) 4. Who/What is behind this push for action by the US? 5. Why can't the UN or Arab League deal with this? Why the US?
22. who did what?
freddie ,   USA   (09.08.13)
the silly anti-Obama comments say nothing. Fact: Obama et al need to show the intel (instead of claiming) that Assad delivered the gas. We know gas used. But why must we take their words when they claim they have proof?
23. Where are all the moderates in the moslem
world? Where is the arab league? Where is the unhrw and eu human rights groups? Seems briton careless, france supports a strike, we'll see if there air force has sotre missions as in libya?
24. 11.
Birdi ,   Israel   (09.08.13)
My thoughts exactly.
25. abandoned values of right and wrong
Galut ia ,   Selah usa   (09.08.13)
the world peoples are learning to turn their back on fighting evil ... and Evil will reign in the absence of those willing to oppose it ... and it will consume those who ignore it .....
26. #4 Hussein Barak Ossama
Jerry ,   home   (09.08.13)
Has long ago graduated from the most promising presidential candidate to the most promising president. And he helped to bring us the Arab Spring ... Trap. His main achievement was getting the Muslim Brotherhood to take, albeit, temporary control of Egypt. No counting the murdered Copt and burnt and destroyed churches. He promised to bomb Bashar Assad, but gave himself an out by putting to Congress to approve, thus undermining future US Presidents ability to act. Bombing would help Al Qaeda in Syria, and filing to bomb would prolong the agony and help the Jihaddist commit genocide against the remaining Christians and establish Sharia Law as part of their "Islamic chaliphate". The best possible solution for the people of Syria would have been the unthinkable: Bomb and obliterate anything that is armed and moves - both in the Assad Camp and his Hizboulla mercenaris, and the Jihaddists and Al Qaeda elements who oppose him.
27. Nr 13. Russia will do nothing -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.08.13)
- if Russia will loose !. Russia could do something against Balticum but that is all. Arn.Sweden.
28. I always said those WMD's were in Iraq
benjy   (09.08.13)
but sent to Syria and probably other places too. I am sure I am not alone thinking this. SO many tunnels and ways of getting stuff past the less smarter UN. On death and destruction these guys take the prize....but hopefully it will be taken from them and pay up time is near.
29. To: Nos. 11 and 24
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.08.13)
Yeah, mine too. Except sarin acts more swiftly in a confined space than Zyklon B did. It's a rather horrific comparison, but I'd say the Syrians got off fairly easily. Ninety-eight percent of my family were not as lucky.
30. All this has pushed the Palies into the
