1. The only mistake Eisner made was doing
benjy   (09.09.13)
it openly where the media could jump on the chance to slam Israel and the IDF again....Sad the IDF has slammed Eisner, a rap on the knuckles would have been enough, but we have to appease these idiots that come and ask for trouble. This Dane or his ilk would never go to Syria to protest, or anywhere where there is danger. To Lt.Col. Eisner and his family , Shana tova vegmar hatima tova, and thank you for your service!
2. Good for the media
Michael ,   Haifa   (09.09.13)
Without the media, thugs like Eisner, the other officer who ordered a soldier to shoot a rubber bullet into a handcuffed Palestinian's leg and countless other similar recorded instances, Israelis would be unaware of the things being done in their name. Maybe Israelis would prefer not to know, for after all we have the "most moral army in the world", so why spoil things ?
3. Some of you may sympathize with Eisner, but
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (09.09.13)
I saw the whole traumatic scene as another type of PTSS - Eisner needs anger management lessons.
4. Justice, Israeli style.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.09.13)
This whole incident is a disgrace. A good man does his job protecting the Jewish people, the state of israel and this is what he receives. Question, who lets this leftist provocateurs into israel? Just another example of a corrupt judiciary, military, controlled by a corrupt press
5. punishing Eisner
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (09.09.13)
I am totally with Eisner. These legal proceedings would better have suited a court in Ramallah. Eisner's devotion to our flag is organic. His judges and the higher ranking officers who sought to punish him have thoroughly compromised their fealty to this land. They punished not only Eisner. They punished and shamed all Israel!
6. Why can't Israel use death sentence to make freak disappear?
Miron ,   USA   (09.09.13)
He will only learn how to do what he already does with more impunity. The inaction, shown by leadership, only damages Israel credibility and pollutes already heavily unfriendly to Israel atmosphere. What will Quatary say???
7. #1 actually they are
Esti   (09.09.13)
Actually if you check your facts apparently there are western anti war activists already in Syria and more on the way.
8. Lt.Col. Eisner & Family , Shana tova vegmar hatima tova &
Moshe ,   Usa   (09.09.13)
thank you for your service (from me & my Family)
9. Eisner is right. Shame on Israel and
DT ,   TA Israel   (09.09.13)
their so called justice that panders to subversives who should not even be in this country
10. dear eisner we embrace you ,be strong.
miriam ,   eilat   (09.09.13)
gmar hatima tiva
11. Benny, thank you.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.09.13)
The haifa twins, Michael and Barbara, when you come under attack by arab terrorists, foreign provocateurs you will be the first to cry for the army. Wait until the hezbollah and Syrians missiles coming flying at you. You two will be the first to cry, where is the army, help me, save me! Your posts are a disgrace. Who in their right mind would undermine the security of the state of israel and at the same time sacrifice a gibor Israel to our enemies. Benny, thank you with all my heart for your service. You and others like you sacrifice so that me and my family can sleep at night.
12. #6 miron - careful
solomon ,   bklyn   (09.09.13)
You're showing your own colors...and hatred and prjudice.
13. haolam hafuch
arthurf ,   amsterdam   (09.09.13)
what was the stupid activist thinking anyway? that he would have been handed a bouquet of roses? [sarcasm]it also seems that the idf has more than enough soldiers [/sarcasm]
14. A broken arm is punishment enough!
Riva ,   Israel   (09.09.13)
So the IDF will lose another good man for doing his job! what a message for other guys who are thinking of being officers! the message is that the IDF will screw you if you happen to get caught on film in a very difficult situation where you use your best judgment. I think the IDF should stop playing politics!
15. Michael from Haifa you cannot say it better !
Non Jewish Immigrant ,   Haifa   (09.09.13)
KOL HAKAVOD ! I am happy to read a bit of comon sense which is becoming rare these days. Some out there easily criticize the medias for doing a bad job only when it shows them things they do not want to see nor admit. They just can't have it both ways...
16. Do it, but don't get caught..The "activists" are like small
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.09.13)
children (mentally), since nobody have told them, how life really works. Still, they look pretty grown up on the outside. In this type of situations it is difficult to carry oneself like a "ganenet" (kindergarten teacher) and provide them with toys instead of a fist in the jaw. Our commanders should be taught "unphotogenic" techniques of subduing these idiots. Stay strong Eisner.
17. Michael # 11 - did you see Dane with weapon?
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (09.09.13)
Eisner hit an unarmed man - protester or no - unarmed. That means uncontrolled anger to me. That means abuse to me. Uncalled for - anger management is highly recommended. I am also against these protesters and highly recommend and am proud of our IDF. And believe me, I have been through Israeli wars since 1968 and haven't felt any fear because of our highly qualified IDF.
18. Ezner
Edouard ,   Montreal Canada   (09.09.13)
I am ready to pay for Lt col ezner the 2 months of pay that he is not going to get because of a justice system that punish the hero and let free the criminals
19. IDF officer who stuck activist: My trial is unjust.#16
Elsie. ,   Gush Halav.   (09.09.13)
# 16 Tom, do it but don't be caught, what kind of message does that send?? hero he was not, it was just sheer violence, his life was in no danger as the video shows also the activist was unarmed, all he showed was uncontrolled anger and that must be dealt with. Had it been a Palestinian who had stuck the soldier ,you all would be howling for his blood, so I am not understanding this "righteous" support for someone clearly in the wrong.
20. get a grip people
rm ,   Amsterdam NL   (09.09.13)
In NO country a soldier hitting out at a civillian is considered a heroic action. Except in Israel.... Because he is a HERO who defends Israel against EVIL foreigners. Please get a grip with reality folks....it only makes you look bad....
21. If Eisner as an Arab
Ralph ,   Caesarea   (09.09.13)
if would'nt be condemn.
22. "Activists" are guests of Israel
Sidney ,   USA   (09.09.13)
They have no legal right to be in Israel. You do not come into somebody's home solely to criticize your host. Anybody who proclaims his intention before entry should be denied entry as "persona non grata". If he participates in demonstrations against Israel he should be expelled. It is time for Israel to stop appeasing everybody, that is ghetto mentality.
23. Our love to you Eisner
Hertzel ,   Tveria   (09.09.13)
Kol Am Israel loves you !!! have no doubt, you are in the right ! You are treated this way by the higher political level to appease leftist in the EU ... it is sickening what they did to you.
24. “Those protesters were endangering my life”
Barry   (09.09.13)
LOL!! Will these IDF thugs ever stop lying?
25. Our IDF are human beings
chaya ,   central israel   (09.09.13)
that when subjected to verbal abuse and spitting, are expected to react. We should start screening these so called visitors, retard activists, who come over to insult and interfere in our affairs. Send them to the arab nations where they may be beheaded for merely staring at a wife of the prince ! Edouard #18, i take you up on your offer - we could start a fund collection to support eisner's 2 months work without pay !!!
26. Eisner
Mendoza ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (09.09.13)
Eisner behaved like a two bit thug and got what he deserved. An officer of his rank is expected to use his brains in these situations, he was found wanting and reaped what he sowed.
27. Lt. Col. Shalom Eisner WE SUPPORT YOU !
(09.09.13)
28. The State betray its field officers ! SHAME !
(09.09.13)
29. Yoav Zitun wrote ''a peace activist' ! What a stupidy !

30. #20
(09.09.13)
Why is it that the Dutch ME have such a reputation for violence against peaceful people? Did you ever see ME handle krakers? They make Eisner look gentle.
