1. When we say we can trust only ourselves
Nora Tel Aviv   (09.15.13)
it means that we don`t trust Obama. EU, UN etc... It also means that they are not ready to help us, their interests being different than ours.
2. This agreement is victory for Assad and Putin.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.15.13)
There is nothing "positive" about this agreement. It is a complete victory for Assad and Putin. The Obama regime continues it's campaign to destroy America.
3. # 2 Perhaps but,
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (09.15.13)
Assad wont give all his stockpile up easily.. he and his butcher father are and were addicted to power. Maybe a specific drone with Assad's name on it? It's possible.
4. Russia wants the CW out of Syria just as
spyguy ,   seattle   (09.16.13)
much as the US. Russia will support Assad (until they don't), but they want to ensure those CW do NOT end up being used on Russia, which is what could happen if Assad eventually leaves power and he CW are still in Syria. I have very little doubt that all the weapons will be gathered up and shipped to Russia very quickly. The only slight worry is Russia will probably ship them out on aircraft, so there is always the chance of an aircraft accident. The rebels and Saudi Arabia may not like the fact that Assad will still have a strong military and a strong partner in Russia, but the rest of the world will be happy to see all those weapons safely at Russia's CW disposal plants. Russia and the US are making the world a safer place and Israelis should be cheering.
