1. Obama says... a translation
ex-frummie ,   Johannesburg S.A.   (09.15.13)
I have ceded U.S. domination to Russia (and China) I have also single handedly made Jimmy Carter look like a competent and powerful President. I have also damaged my legacy just so I would not have to deal with Iran in an effective manner. Yeah me!
2. Dont let anything stop them from killing each other. Why help
Alan ,   SA   (09.15.13)
the "Rebels" ??? As said before by many, its the Evil versus the other Evil.
3. Obama is the Court Jester in the Kremlin!
Dee Bee ,   The Galilee, Israel   (09.15.13)
Vladimir Putin, Vlad the Terrible, Tzar Vlad I, the Butcher of Grozny or whatever, has made a complete fool of President Obama. He has shown the world that United States is nothing but a paper tiger with big toys and and no leadership. Any country which is threatened by "evil" forces must now realize that they on on the own. The "Leader of the Free World" has stated that the "USA is not the Policeman of the World" and that his "Red lines" were drawn in vanishing ink. History has shown us that little megalomaniacs do eventually come unstuck and Putin is just another Napoleon and he will meet his Waterloo! This won't happen until a future President of the United States repaints the Yellow House White! So , Mr. President, the "deal is a plus for all" except those that Assad, with Putin's help, will continue killing with conventional weapons! The last time I looked, DEAD is DEAD! There are no degrees of death!
4. EXCEPT ALL THE DEAD, IN PARTICULAR CHILDREN!

5. The only good thing
PaulD ,   Jerusalem   (09.15.13)
out of this US surrender to Russia, is that the Syrians will continue to have the opportunity to kill each other. Something the US has no business in. The bad news for the world, is with America surrendering their great deterrence against evil to the rotten Russians, the world is now a more dangerous place. So Obama continues to fulfill the Dreams of his Father, which is, to destroy America for it's oppression of Blacks, and other 3rd world minorities.
6. A plus, all right, for three:
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (09.15.13)
1) Mr. Assad, who will continue to retain his chemical arsenal while continuing to mass murder the civilian population of Syria without punishment for doing so. 2) Mr. Putin, for having fooled the US and managed to prevent the threat of the use of force against the Syrian regime. 3) Mr. Obama, for having resisted all along acting against the Syrian regime, although he couldn't say so in so many words, and finally, was able to appease the Syrians by having accepted this agreement of which the Syrians are not part of course.
7. President Kerry & Secretary of State Obama are idiots
(09.15.13)
If the Kerry administration ( Kerry seems to be calling all the shots these days ) seriously believe Assad is going to give up his chemical weapons they are dreaming. Assad has numerous chemical weapons sites not all declared and he is not even going to start supposedly dismantling them till mid 2014 all he is doing now is signing the chemical weapons convention which means nothing. Those weapons are essential if he wants to avoid any future military operations which either th US or Israel might want to carry out. They are an insurance policy and whilst Russia might officially be doing deals with the US they know th
8. Slichah to all, for......
Gideon Reader   (09.15.13)
...having my country inflict this political jock rot on the world, through the civic malpractive. of voting while stupid.
9. British House of Commons said NO and
N ,   N   (09.15.13)
the majority of the House was inclined to do the same. The British prime minister had no other choice and neither had the U.S. president. The U.K. and the U.S. almost always stand together: the administrations (both pro war) as well as the lower houses (both predominantly anti-war). This time the lower houses didn't give in to the administrations.
10. The world is so stupid to belive Assad
NATAN ,   ISRAEL   (09.15.13)
is going to give even the 10% of his chemical arsenal to somebudy? I'm impress....!!
11. A plus !? Yes for Hezbollah and for
DT ,   TA Israel   (09.15.13)
every terrorist. The Chemical weapons agreement would never be enforced, unverifiable and no wonder Lavrov was laughing. The joke was Obama and Kerry.
12. Achieving the impossible
Etienne Prinsloo ,   Nova Scotia Canada   (09.15.13)
Syria is in the midst of civil war. How exactly do Putin's knaves Kerry and Obama propose drawing up an accurate inventory of all Assad's chemical weapons? This would be a Herculanean task in a country at peace, let alone one consuming itself. Furthermore, Putin was never called on what he did in Grozny. So this man is now the newly appointed world peacemaker? Sad how far the West has fallen.
13. yeah righ
rm ,   Amsterdam NL   (09.15.13)
except for the Syrians themselves who are one way or another still stuck with a murderous tyrant
14. Another way to look at this
Claude ,   London GB   (09.15.13)
It appears that the west has caved in to the Russian Bear. In reality Russia is hurting big time, it's economy is almost totally dependant on exporting energy and as US and West become less needy of these imports, Russia will feel the pinch, Russia has almost no ability to produce the consumer products it needs, living standards for the vast majority are plummeting, Has anybody purchased a Russian product that works , cars, fridges, Even it's weaponry is only seen as exportable to the desperate despots of Iran and Syria. Putin remains in power by ruthless tactics and harassment of opposition, Someting the likes of Snowden no doubt considered with pride as he applied for asylum. The Russian Brand is tarnished and Obama is just a passing phase , that the US can easily recover from like a bad dose of flu
15. NATAN # 10
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (09.15.13)
