1. why would a Jew or an Israeli go to Germany
k ,   US   (09.15.13)
highly doubt you will see her again or get a real investigation from the Nazis
2. Germany is dangerous
Dianak ,   Germany   (09.15.13)
north european countries and some eastern european countries , are dangerous for jews and specially if you are from Israel. Israeli-woman-26-escapes-Thomas-Fischers torture-chamber : 2011 Thomas Fischer, 30, turned his tiny flat into a terrifying lair in which he had installed an old soundproofed telephone box to lock up his victim. He used an assortment of scalpels, needles and syringes to practise with on a mannequin before snatching the woman off a street in Hamburg. there are "No go areas " in eastern germany if you have black hair , better you avoid this places . Never run alone or with strangers, specially in germany no one approachs you or talks to you unless he is ill-disposed towards you. After a lot of bad experiences I never tell I am jewish and take always precautions.
3. Some more Information
Markus Schul ,   Düsseldorf, Germany   (09.15.13)
She was last seen at a "Mountain hut". She was going mountain climbing. This can be very dangerous do inexperienced people and rain and nightfall can bring harsh temperature drops. A crime should never be ruled out, but it looks like she might have some kind of climbing accident. (You can never conquer a mountain, you can only survive it - Reinhold Messner.)
4. LOL NO2!!!!!!

You're so funny
5. Too bad she didn't go missing in Italy or Greece. Everyone
Rivkah   (09.15.13)
working at airports, train stations, bus stations would be looking for her, like an Amber alert in the USA. If parents want their children to travel, best to go in a group and to countries that will search for your child if missing as if it were their own, like Italy and Greece.
6. Why is it that everyday somewhere an Israeli is missing/hurt
Alan ,   SA   (09.15.13)
7. They are searching
Oy vey ,   Onchan, GB   (09.16.13)
@ Rivkah: have you at least checked your theory? Cause I did and checked german newspages. I did and her face is all over the news. Heli searches are conduced. And as a friend told me aparently they are searching for three people that have been seen withher, they search were she has been seen last which (check google maps) is a large rural mountain area. Also reporting her missing was the Hostel itself after she failed to show for breakfast. But that just doesn't fit your racist image does it? Germans actually caring.... So before you blast people at least get your facts straight.
8. Sad. Another naive young female!!!

Going alone with strangers just because they smile? How stupid is that?

10. Update for Debbie:

I had my German speaking friend check again today as I do not speak much of it. He said that Police has been searching since she was reported missing by hostel staff. At first in the wrong direction since no people had seen her and police could only search were Ms Levy had said she might go. But witnesses have seen her with three others on the way to a summer sledding thingy and one of the workers there recognized her as having entered the sledding but then she's just gone. They are now searching the whole area hoping to find her. They use dogs, people and helicopters. My friend pointed out that another newsagency links her going missing to two other women going missing in the area. He said the newspaper links them alltogether since they all have the same stature and haircolor and the region is close by. That's what he found.
11. Israeli missing
Debbie ,   Israel   (09.18.13)
No. 10, Thanks. That doesn't sound good, linking her disappearance to 2 other women. Travellers should always stay in well populated areas; remote areas are just not safe. Also, let friends know exactly where you're going, and with whom.
12. Dumb comments! Germany is one of the most secure countries
EU   (09.23.13)
of the world! I live here for 30 years and didnt even see a pickpocket! The lady died because she climbed alone on the mountain and felt! This is very tragic but not the germans fault!
