1. Oslo Criminals must be brougt to justice.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.18.13)
Oslo has rightly been called the worst self inflicted wound by any state in history. As a direct result of Oslo; more than 1,500 Israelis have been murdered and more than 14,000 maimed. Oslo has also had a devastating impact on Israel's status in the world. During Oslo, the lunatic Labor government essentially agreed that Israel's genocidal enemies were correct after all! Those responsible for inflicting Oslo on Israel are guilty of criminal negligence resulting in thousands maimed and murdered. Israel must bring them to justice. That should be a high priority of the coming patriotic Israeli government.
2. Naive Jewish leaders were tricked
Sam ,   Canada   (09.18.13)
The Jewish leaders thought peace would lead to Jewish and Palestinian states. The Palestinians thought they could get the Jews to hand over the country to them through a right of return or a weakened defense. The left is overanxious to make peace making it susceptible to being duped. The right has mixed feelings about making peace leading the world to wonder if it wants peace.
3. lapid
gerald   (09.18.13)
lapid is shaking up the government especially on the haredi long overdue. On military affairs, he takes after his journalist father, an olmert winer and diner and asskisser, a know nothing. Lapid,t he son, never did combat, understands little about defensible borders, and is naive about arabs about pain and distrust. The story about arabs is 48, reverse nakba and kill 100,000 jews and boot the rest out. Lapid talks about interim agreement. He makes me sick along with haber, gas chamber jews. Fight for israel and wake up. Understand the arabs once and for all and stop with these shangri-law bullcrap.
4. Oslo was far from peace
Matityahu ,   Slovenia/ Israel   (09.18.13)
But it gave suicide bombers to Israelis.
5. Ship of Fools
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln, USA   (09.18.13)
The writer is correct. It's about time that the right wing realizes that they cannot continue to take land from their ownwers in the West Bank. Even though their true aim is to kick all Palestinians out of Judea and Samaria. It's wishful thinking. Too many Lieberman's in Israel, not enough Rabin's.
6. A fraud imposed on the Jewish people.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.18.13)
Oslo was a total fraud from its inception. Land for peace, you make peace with your enemies, all a fraud, a deception. What Haber, the Tel Aviv settler, wants is an arab terrorist state aligned with the Islamic terrorist state of Iran, created in Judea and Samaria at the gates of Jerusalem and Gush Dan.
7. An Agreement With Many "Holes" In It
Cosmic X ,   Jerusalem   (09.18.13)
Eitan Haber would not make light of such carelessness if it were his own apartment.
8. oslo was forced upon Israel
arne ,   chicago usa   (09.18.13)
by then president Bubba Clinton, who wanted that for his "legacy". That Rabin was too weak to resist knowing full well that it would bounce back and hit him in the face. When in recorded history did a country allow it's sworn enemy to live next door.Rabin died because of that, Peres was nothing more then a witness and Clinton went on to make millions by speaking to the liberal Jews who have little or no idea of what this guys all about.
9. eitan, where the people who
arne ,   chicago usa   (09.18.13)
returned from Tunis the same bunch that were firing on the north of Israel from Lebanon, causing Israel to launch an invasion in 82? and if so what would be the point of having to deal with them anyway? was there nobody else but Arafat to deal with? how can you possibly continue to defend this action after all the suffering that oslo caused the people of Israel? Shame on you Eitan
10. I'd be very cautious defending the Oslo crime today!
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.18.13)
11. Oslo was huge milestone in Israel's short history
Shachar ,   Eilat   (09.18.13)
Israelis only ever think in the context of their own short-term interests. Fortunately many of our leaders had the wisdom to look further down the road. Oslo was and still is an Arab capitulation. They broke all 3 no's, their ideology and unity and got almost nothing in return....and the little they got they wasted. And when both sides think they've lost you know you're on the right track.
12. Oslo was DEAD ON ARRIVAL... Most evil plan ever cooked up by
DAI Oslo ,   Tel Aviv   (09.18.13)
leftists and Jew haters.
13. Hope=1500 dead and 6000 wounded
m   (09.18.13)
14. Rabin would never have signed Oslo with hindsight
(09.18.13)
15. Rabin, Peres, Haber men without vision.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.18.13)
If Ben Gurion listened to Haber, Israel would not exist. Haber would have said we are too weak, to few Jews, we have no weapons, the arabs are too many and too strong. Fortunately israel followed Ben Gurion. Sadly in the Oslo process, Israel to its detriment, followed Rabin, Peres and Haber. If Shamir had won the 1992 election israel would not be in the mess its in today.
16. What the Oslo Treaty did was that it showed...
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (09.18.13)
...that solutions require compromises. You have to give a little to get a little. In today's Israeli-Palestinian conflict there are, just as there were 20 years ago, far too many who want it all, but in turn are willing to sacrifice nothing. That's why the likes of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Iran, Likud, the Yesha Council, Aipac etc. are unable to deliver peace today. That's why they opposed the Oslo Treaty 20 years ago.
17. To # 10
Joe Mevorah ,   Lincoln, USA   (09.18.13)
Tom, it seems to me that your intention is to threaten others who disagree with you. You are obviously a member of the ship of fools.
18. Oslo = The paradigm of TREASON !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (09.18.13)
19. #17 ship of naive
carlos ,   San Diego CA   (09.19.13)
Nobody can negotiate with genocidal regimes (palestinians, Iran etc.) as people that declare every day they want your destruction; that is why the U.S. did not negotiate with nazi Germany....You are the fool, you smarty pants....and ignoramus at that.
20. Democracy is Peace, there is no substitute, Palestine Israel
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.19.13)
21. Haber is a moron. Peace was NEVER
Reuven   (09.19.13)
possible! There want be peace for another 50 years!
22. Haber said it all, but doesn't know it
Sidney ,   USA   (09.19.13)
"Certainly there were difficulties in the implementation of the deal, namely the murderous terror which exacted a heavy, bloody price" How Israelis must long for those good old days. There has been no peace for one reason, the Palestinians do not want peace, they want the destruction of Israel.
23. u$a peace by acts of war
24. Hubba-Bubba!
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (09.19.13)
Come on folks - this was just a supersize, grease-laden, pork-fried, PHOTO-opportunistic sleight-of-hand for our good ole' boy, Bubba Clinton.
25. Right of Return Unjustified
Zechariah   (09.19.13)
The Palestinian demand for Right of Return even to Judea and Samaria was unjustified because Islam blocked Jewish escape from Genocide by Nazism From Turkey to Afghanistan let alone Mandated Palestine .
26. The last realistic view of "Oslo", expressed on 5 Oct. 1995
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (09.19.13)
was that of the late Yitzhaq Rabin during his speech at the Knesset: 1. Jerusalem will remain united under Israeli sovereignty and will also include the suburbs of Giv'at Zeev and Ma'aleh Adumim 2. All major Jewish settlement blocs will be incorporated into the sovereign state of Israel, including Gush Qatif in Gaza 3. The Jordan Valley, in the widest meaning of the term, will also remain under Israeli rule 4. The future Palestinian Arab state will not be a regular one in that it will be totally demilitarized, its airspace fully controlled by Israel, as will its boundaries and all of its border passes: land, sea and air It is not clear to this person why Rabin's supporters at the time refused to internalize his peaceful yet realistic view and promote it. They can still do so, of course!!
27. Hubba-Bubba!
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (09.19.13)
Come on folks - this was just a supersize, grease-laden, pork-fried, PHOTO-opportunistic sleight-of-hand for our good ole' boy, Bubba Clinton.
28. TO JEHUDAH BEN-ISRAEL # 26
FO ,   Belgium   (09.19.13)
Rabin was not at all a supporter of the Oslo process. He was pushed in his back to sign what absolutely didn't believe in. In an amazing interview he gave to the Belgian TV, he said: "The so-called PLO will never be part for negotiations. It does not mean that Israel does not see that there is a Palestinian issue. We believe that the Palestinian issue can be solved in a context of peace that will be negotiated between Israel and Jordan. With Jordan we have got borders, south of the Dead Sea, till the Golf of Aqaba, north of the West Bank, along the Beit Shean Valley and the Jordan Valley. Therefore, in a solution, a peace solution between Jordan and Israel, I believe that the Palestinian issue can be solved in a way that the Palestinians will find their right to express their special identity, but, it will never be trough the so-called PLO or through a third independent state. Because a third independent state between Jordan and Israel cannot solve the Palestinian issue, and will serve as a time bomb against Jordan as well as against Israel". Amazing isn't it? It seems from recent disclosures, that Rabin wasn't informed about the start of the Oslo-Process? So, if this is true, who was hatching behind his back?
29. Why add insult to injury with these lies
Daniel ,   TA - IL   (09.19.13)
willingly accept arafat and his jewhating criminals to gain some dollars and a pat on the back from the other jewhaters in the eu is a vile act. All Israelis understand this now. Please do not insult our intelligence to clean up your own vile acts!
30. #28 Peres, of course, who so wanted to be written
A ,   Belgium   (09.19.13)
in the history books as someone other than a total loser. There are some who believe, and possibly rightly so, they he also had a part in Rabins murder.
