If the blades did not get hit, a chopper can do crash landing or crash within the three miles diameter area. So two km is very normal range after the hit.

The Mi-17 chopper is like a flying tank. Not out of the realm of possibility to believe that it could have made it back to Syria before going down. Especially if it was a top speed.
