BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (09.21.13)
They're lost for over 40 years in the wilderness, their looking for 'palestine', keep looking. Israel is 'occupied' again, by her ancient owners, the 'settlers', the Israelites who were Promised and given the land of Israel by her G-d. No land will be given to the pals, Gaza is it. Judea and Samaria wont be renamed or ceded to the # 1 enemy of the State of Israel, the bloody, terrorists pals. BUILDING THE THIRD TEMPLE SOON.!!!!

3. The What Residents?
emanon ,   USA   (09.21.13)
Since the British gave up control and Israel resumed its rightful name, never heard of any place with that name. Unless they want to return to being British subjects, why do people insist on trying to claim that identity?
4. This Leftist Tool/Quisling is at least true to age-old tra-
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.21.13)
dition, of differentiating between "Jews" and "Zionism". He's not antisemite, he's ONLY "anti-Zionist/settlements". He simply LOVES the "settlers". Nauseating piece indeed.
5. An absurdly stupid article
Lee Kaplan ,   Berkeley, USA   (09.21.13)
If someone in America wanted to deny blacks their civil rights in Berkeley, CA but said it was ok since they have civil rights in New York or Atlanta, would it be any less objectionable as discrimination? Who is Lenchner to decide where Jews may live? This guy is a pseudo intellectual moron. Why does YNET give voice to such degenerates among the Jewish people?
6. Yhudah-Shomron reasoning follows
Eliyahu ,   Rehovot   (09.21.13)
Who is this author? Israel's existence is because we survived in 1948. We are in Yhudah-Shomron because we survived in 1967. What is so d-mned hard to figure out? We acquired, with our blood, Yhudah-Shomron when we were attacked by Jordan in 1967. How feeble are the minds of those that accept the drivel in this article.
7. Dude, if living in ierushalaim for a Jewish man
Miron ,   USA   (09.21.13)
is question of being un - ethical, you have got some steam up in that department to let go off of.
8. "An absurdly stupid article"
Carolyn Gaust ,   San Francisco, Ca.   (09.21.13)
Your's my friend is "an absurdly stupid analogy", please do not use BLACKS nor CIVIL RIGHTS in yoooos peoples criminality.
9. LENCHNER S' GHETTO MENTALITY
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS ,   SAFED OBVIOUS HOUSE   (09.21.13)
Sadly , Ziv Lenchner can only feel secure and content withing 9 -mile -wide " Auschwitz Borders." Normal jews like myself prefer some breathing space. The Palestinians can go home to Jordan .
10. #6 Eliyahu
Eric ,   Toronto   (09.21.13)
It's your mind that is feeble, because you can't even see that people were already living in the land that Israel captured from Jordan in 1967. The fact that no country called Palestine ever existed there has no relevance: You can't keep huge numbers of Arabs who were already living there under your control for ever. That is immoral and unsustainable. And you can't move them to Jordan, that is not just immoral, but also against international law. You can NOT behave as though these people to do not exist!
11. Liberation of Judea/Samaria a great blessing!
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.21.13)
Talkbackers and polls confirm that ever fewer Israelis accept the leftist lie that more than 3,500 year old Judea and Samaria are "occupied". The truth is that the liberation of Judea and Samaria is a great blessing in every way. Judea and Samaria are integral to Israel and make Israel viable.
12. # 5 Thank you for
Hertzel ,   Tveria   (09.21.13)
Thank you for taking the words right out of the tips of my fingers ! You expressed what MOST Israelis would say to this newspaper and to this writer. Israelis are SICK AND TIRED of these kind of people in their midst, must be a jewish disease to have them among us..
13. How could Israel be occupying WB if
leo ,   usa   (09.21.13)
1. Arabs have never agreed to partition to have any kind of borders identified. 2. Land is Jewish to begin with. 3. Arabs are last remnants of colonizers throughout Middle East and North Africa and to call Jews occupiers instead is paramount of injustice.
14. chaim /talkback no 11
Ron   (09.21.13)
And what about the millions of Arabs living in Judea and Samaria? These people have been living there for generations. Can you just get rid of them? I think talk-back number 10 explains very well what is at issue here.
15. Ron @14, do not blame Chaim. It wasn't Jew's choice to
leo ,   usa   (09.21.13)
get rid of an Arab, it was Arab's choice to get rid of a Jew and it still is. Surely even with your bias and/or ignorance you can appreciate natural and logical essence of Jewish reaction.
16. That sentence, "Ethical line must be drawn...
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (09.21.13)
...between legal, legitimate Israel and occupying, settling Israel", isn't that what 99,9% of the world's been saying for decades? The other 0,1%, consisting of Hamas, Hizbollah, al-Qaida, Israeli and American Right wing nuts, appear far too frequently in ynet's comments field...
17. More Leftist Propaganda
ross Gallen ,   Henderson, USA   (09.21.13)
This is article is the epitome of leftist crap.
18. response to 13
Ron   (09.21.13)
Israel is not occupying the West Bank per say, because there was never a country called Palestine there. What Israel is occupying is a PEOPLE!. The Arabs there have been living there for generations and they are presently controlled and "occupied" by Israel. This can not go on for ever.
19. Not much choice here
Zechariah   (09.21.13)
There is not much choice here. As the Arabs refused refuge to the Jews refused them escape from the Shoah .Therefore the memory of the Shoah is fierce in Israel and this memory has turned the Jews of Isreal into Tough sometimes Ruthless warriors .The Jews in Israel are focussed on security .The Islam is Expansionist and wants the Holy Land with Right of return of Refugees.Their leaders may not accept a Demilitirized Autonomous state with Security Restrictions on immigration and Arms .
20. #8 ...the analogy is apt, your assumption of criminality is
NudNik69   (09.21.13)
inappropriate. Only based upon conjecture derived from biased and conflicted sources of which, it might be asserted have questions regarding their own culpability to answer. In short: you're full of shit.
21. The oldest recorded deed in the world
Menachem Ben Yakov ,   Yerushalayim Israel   (09.21.13)
.... is that of the Jews for The Land of Israel. In fact the moral validity of all deeds rests on this bedrock. All the elements of a legal deed, world over, are based on the principals established in the purchase of Machpela by Abraham. If, as these editorialists propose, the Jewish claim to Israel , every inch of it, is less valid than the claims of Arab settlers then no deed has any moral value at all. The world they would create would devolve into a world they would not survive in. They are digging their own graves.
22. Stop trying to please the west...arabs wont ever give peace
naftules ,   Jerusalem   (09.21.13)
Jewish people for so long have been trying to please the nations. Palestinians could live good lives if they ceased terrorism and murder of children and decided to live as good citizens of Israel. The only Palestinians in HISTORY are the Israelites and Jews. World ignores history for a made up identity. Their national identity is bogus. Move to and arab country or live as peaceful citizens of Israel. Israel needs to get its head out its own butt and annex the west bank. something that should of been done a long time ago, for this we are guilty and bring suffering on our heads. Our leaders have no fear of Hashem only the fear of the West.
23. One question on ethics to this lefty
Zev ,   Israel   (09.21.13)
Is it ethical to deny a person the right to live in his homeland just because he is Jewish??
24. Response to Leo, #13
John ,   USA   (09.21.13)
1. Arabs (and virtually every Muslim country including Iran) agreed to the 1967 borders in the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative. In 2008 it was reaffirmed and in 2012 they even accepted land swaps. 2. and 3, Israel's own Supreme Court has said in multiple rulings that the West Bank and Gaza are not Israeli land. In those ruling the court characterized Israel as a "belligerent occupier. "The International Court of Justice said the same thing and said the settlements violated the 4th Geneva Convention and are illegal. Besides Israel, no country in the world including the USA ( per the State Dept) says Israeli settlements are legal.
25. 1st draw this line for US, EU, China and colonial conquests.
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (09.21.13)
The essense of bigotry is applying a one standard to Israel and another one to everybody else. Let the US get out of Puerto Rico, let the Brits get out of the Falklands, Let France get out of New Caledonia and Polynesia, Let China get out of Tibet. And oh yes, let Turkey get out of "North Cyprus". None of which is under discussion. Where are those boycott calls. Israel at least has a firm legal right to be in the "West Bank" - west bank of what? Of trans-Jordan, which illegally annexed it and then lost it, yet the illegitimate name is still used by critics of Israel, who has no less right to be there than the Jordanians (where was the anti-Jordanian boycott). UNSC242, the binding law relating to the situation on the ground, gives Israel the right to be there pending a "freely negotiated peace", which affords Israel "secure and recognized borders free of threats and acts of force". And Abbas with his UN action threats and PLO intifada threats and Gaza with its Kassams and GRADS, are not offering Israel negotiations, security or recognition of the Jewish State next door. Israel has a legal right to stay in control of the land until they do. And not until AFTER the rest of the world follows the same "rules". We in the US have our Jane Fonda quislings, and Israel has hers.
26. Ehud has more integrity in his G-string than...
Glenn Tamir ,   Shorashim, Israel   (09.21.13)
All these right-wing fundamentalists put together. They may be Settlers, or temporary residents of areas called by many names (judaea and shomron, or the west bank) but their actions and behavior are not reflective of Jewish values. Too bad they have forgotten this.
27. # 17 So is the entire publication.
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (09.21.13)
What else is new?? "reporters' don't fight.....
28. Kol Hakavod to Ziv Lenchner
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.21.13)
It needed to be said - clearly and succinctly. You have done just that. Thank you.
29. We have a saying in English that fits
ch ,   NJ, USA   (09.22.13)
this op-ed... "With friends like this, who needs enemies?"
30. He's right
Dan   (09.22.13)
In other words: let's have a 2-state solution. Occupation is necessary because there is no peace; but settlement and annexation are neither necessary nor legitimate: did Americans settle or annex Germany after WW2? If you don't want a 2-state solution you'll get a 1-state solution, and that means either the ethnic cleansing of Arabs, guaranteeing eternal war, or the loss of Israel's Jewish identity. Intelligent, decent people want neither.
