1. Two state ? Hell no ! I am one of many
DT ,   TA Israel   (09.26.13)
2. Another missed opportunity, or as the late Mr. Abba Eban...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (09.26.13)
...observed: The Arabs have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. He could have stated, simply, his acceptance of Israel's RIGHT to be, to exist as the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, but didn't. He could have stated simply, his dropping off the demand - no, not a right - of Arabs who fled Israel in 1948 to return to Israel. He could have stated simply, without much bravado, his commitment to demilitarized a future Palestinian Arab state, but refused to do so. He could have stated one by one, the specific sections in the PLO charter that will be dropped from the document since they call for Israel's demise, the "cleansing" of the Jewish ancestral homeland of its Jews, and for the use of all means to achieve these PLO goals, but he was silent about it. Shall we go on...??!!
3. Bibi Obama Selling out Israel
Bill Stein ,   USA   (09.26.13)
My Opinion I would not be surprised if the current US administration was not somehow involved in the increase of Anti Semitism and deligitamazation as far as a pressure tactic on Israel to make concessions. One has to wonder who is pushing the Europeans to do settlement labeling? Who is paying for all these BDS groups. Who are all the Anti Semetic talk backers around the Social Media one has to wonder if there is some organization behind it. I believe Obama wants to destroy Israel as the Jewish Homeland for the Jewish People he has not even recognized west Jerusalem as the capital of Israel which supposedly is not considered occupied territory. If Bibi allows this to happen he will be considered a traitor to the Jewish People for eternity
4. Peace
BOB   (09.26.13)
The only peace abbas wants is a peace of Jerusalem, a peace of haifa and a peace of tel aviv
5. Do we?
Jerry   (09.26.13)
I think he will find the majority of Israeli arabs support a 2 state solution. As far as the rest of us go, we supported the right in the last elections
6. Thanks again Liberal Ameri-Jews
ASTRONAUT ,   SC,USA   (09.26.13)
for passing the gas that is this re-elected Administration, who, from the outset, had Israel in its crosshairs. But you're too sanctimonious, too self-aggrandized, to recognize your own failings. The dogs you liberals have been feeding, will turn on you ; they will not just bite you, your children, and your grandchildren - they will devour you raw.
7. Abbas doesn't want to negotiate - he wants a surrender
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (09.26.13)
8. Only Israelis with a death wish support it.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.26.13)
It is obvious to any literate child, capable of reading a map, that the monstrous Two State Final Solution would destroy Israel within a decade. Which is its exact intention.. Most Israelis totally reject the Two State Final Solution. An Israeli would need a death wish to support this lunacy.
9. NATO, UNSC, EU, ICC, reduce number of 21 Arab states to one
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.26.13)
10. ummmmm nooot ?!
Bat Yehuda ,   Tel Aviv   (09.26.13)
11. I'm sure most Israelis DO back a 2 state solution... but....
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (09.26.13)
It's 2 states with all of Jerusalem as our capital... it also carves up the west bank so we get a ton of space that we currently have cities in, more access to the dead sea that we had before 1967, and also a safe passage highway to get there from Jerusalem.
12. The Q is what Livni & Bibi giving away for Delusions!
Son of Cyrus ,   UK   (09.26.13)
13. Really Abbas? What is your sources?
BM ,   Israel   (09.26.13)
Why would the victors be inclined to give you anything?
14. On two state solution
Steven ,   Rockville MD USA   (09.26.13)
It is very "reassuring" that Abas claims that most Israelis support the two state solution. How about him, and most of the Palestinians including Hamas? Obviously he is very quiet about that.
15. It is interesting to read all of the
Runner1983 ,   USA   (09.27.13)
posts criticizing these peace talks focused on a 2 state solution. I would ask these posters, what is the alternative? The other alternatives (status quo or 1 state solution) are equally (if not more) dangerous to Israel. So, rather than criticize a 2 state solution, suggest viable and meaningful alternatives, or put forward conditions that make a 2 state solution work. Just being negative is not useful or productive.
16. Most israelis DO support a two state solution
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (09.26.13)
with Ramallah as the palestinan capital! i can't think of any Israeli off the top of my head that supports splitting up jeruslam and letting them rename it alquds . and no arab israelis don't count! oh what, most of them consider themselves Palestinians, yet when it convenient for them, they're Israeli Arabs again?
17. Huh?!
manicdrummer ,   Haifa, Israel   (09.27.13)
Most Jews do not support a two-state solution. Anyone wonder what G-d Himself would have to say about it? It is His country and I think He should be consulted about the matter.
18. Abbas...
Jennie ,   Israael/US   (09.27.13)
The lies of Abbas are as natural, as the change of the weather... It is the truth, that would be shocking from him and his... In this speach, he calls the creation of the Jewish state a curse (nakba), and at the same breath, he is pertaining to be the messenger of just peace...Could any sain and awake human being "buy" any of this...? How dare he complaining about not having the freedom of ordinary life, of being uprooted from the land of today's Israel ? It was Abbas's people, who in 1948, fled in a big hurry from the young, legal and newly proclaimed Jewish State (by the Leage of Nations), only to attack the young Israel for innihilation..We, Israel, won the war for innihilation, waged on us in 1948 and again in 1967,1973,1984, etc.. and never ending terror acts in between.. WE won them All, but unlike other winners, we were and still are, too kind to our enemies...We give them their lifeline and they shoot deadly rockets to our schools, hospitals and homes...History doesn't lie, People like Abas, DO ! This whole event, is nothing short of a circus !
19. #14 That's an excellent observation and a great point.
Corey ,   Canada   (09.27.13)
20. #15 runner
solomon ,   bklyn   (09.27.13)
The phrase “2 state solution” does not include apriori all of what the Pals want and are unwilling to give up. It is not inexorably linked to a divided Jerusalem. There is a lot of space between “2 state solution” and an agreement.
21. #15. Pay "Palestinians" to leave.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.27.13)
#15. The simple answer is Jews in Israel, including our more than 3,500 year old ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria. "Palestinians" in Jordan and elsewhere. Israel needs to do two things: 1. End ALL Israeli support of Fictional Palestine. No more food, money, electricity or anything for our foes. 2. Pay "Palestinians" fairly to leave our land forever.
22. ABBAS can give Rouhani acting lessons
(09.27.13)
23. You could have been equals in 1948
Joe Fraser   (09.27.13)
But your people chose war so as to have it all. Now you pay the consequences Abbas.
24. Really? No. Not really. Not even close to reality.
Grace ,   USA   (09.27.13)
Just another saying snatched out of the air with no substance. The truth does not reign in this man, he is so tragic. Praying he would turn from this path and receive Hashem's mercy. Ezekiel 18:23 "“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?"

26. Jordan and Israel
Sam ,   Texas   (09.27.13)
are two states, and I support that also
27. Two-state? Well, neither Jews nor Arabs are going anywhere
leo ,   usa   (09.27.13)
and two-state will eventually be the most likely solution. However, it is the size and shape of two states that matters.
28. #17:God's consultation fee went up and we cannot afford it
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.27.13)
any more, but I'll tell you for free: Jordan Now! (Yarden tehila)
29. And you are our publicist?
Libby ,   Israel   (09.27.13)
No, I don't think so. What is it with foreign politicians making statements on behalf of Israelis? Abbas- you don't represent Israel or its people. These acts should be outlawed.
30. Most of us do not back a two state solution.
Mirriam ,   Tiberias   (09.27.13)
We are neither stupid nor suicidal....unlike our government.
