32. Just what He orders...
(09.29.13)
We believe our enemies can work for us even as we live in peace with all men and women so Livni can hurry up with final borders as we sharpen our pens and polishing our signatures to sign on dotted lines. May God bless me have what I requested from Him the biblical borders. Amen!!!
33. TO HARRI # 18. GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU !
FO ,   Belgium   (09.29.13)
You pretend and I quote: "Palestinians are descendants of the ancient Jews (you mean Arab Palestinians, right?) ... who have lived there for ages". Ever heard of a certain Hadriani Relandi? I suppose not, because if you had, you wouldn't have written the nonsense you wrote. Relandi wrote a book called "Palestina, ex Monumentis". Relandi was a scholar, geographer, cartographer and spoke ancient languages as well as Hebrew. He was sent in 1695 on a tour to "Palestina" to survey about 2500 places where people lived that were mentioned in the Bible or Mishnah. He mapped the land, he identified the places mentioned in the Mishnah, and made a population survey of each community. His conclusions were as follows: most of the land was empty, desolate, and the inhabitants few in number. Most of them were Jews and the rest Christians. There were few Muslims, mostly nomad Bedouins. Follow my advice, Harri, make a research about this author and his book, and educate yourself.
34. #25: A true friend does not talk the way you do.
Israeli 2   (09.29.13)
It is easy for Brazil to say that: A vast country with natural defenses. I suggest you offer them Brazil. See what your fellow Brazilians will say. "Not one inch." Besides, Mr. Judge, you overlooked the most important factor: The lands you speak of are a gift from our G-d to the people of Israel. All that land you speak of is only a portion of more.
35. Will BB pull Charedim to support this 2 State deal
Martin SA   (09.29.13)
Continued Will BB pull Charedim to support this 2 State deal against Bennet & Likud
36. New coalition Yatid Labour Livni vs likud & Bennet
Martin SA   (09.29.13)
The coalition is about to be broken by reneging against BB Bennet, Lapid deal. re Yesha and Jerushalayim. The big open secret. Our dear feigela is negotiating so secretly this bitter pill. To give all away why did we need the feigela? and the secrecy, bb is this the best you can do for defendable boarders??. Reality is an inferred side deal of BHO & EU Obama it seems has turned his back on us and sold us out through the EU as a convenient leverage. Congress can you accept this peace talks side deal?? Please try sort this mess out. Election should be called after BB talks to UN. Obama visit. Leverage EU & OBH to impose 67 Auschwitz borders for the sake of attacking Iran??? and suggest to uproot 100 000 Yesha Jews. After Katiff this would be a catastrophe which would cause unnecessary unemployment and nobody can afford to bank role this move. This inference is ridiculous and a set-back for no good reason. Feigele you are so sweet please send her a big bag of lemons.
37. Tsipi advocating a disaster.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.30.13)
Tsipi is advocating the creation of an arab terrorist state in Judea and Samaria aligned with the terrorist islamic state of iran. This terrorist state will be at the gates of Jerusalem and Gush Dan. Tsipi failed geography is school. Arabs liviing in Judea and Samaria remain citizens of Jordan and or the arab nation. These arabs will never be citizens of Israel. Any other alternative will clearly result in a disaster for israel.
38. All Our Necks Are On the Line: Livni
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (09.30.13)
Hey Daniel, what have you been drinking? Reminds me of a friend who faults vociferously both capitalism, the powerful unions and the bureauacracies (US/Israel) for even minor mistakes (ususaly correctred after enough protests). Is nothing sacred to these people? Perhaps they should relocate to a socialists country like France..or dictatorships (plenty), or China/Russia and other hybrids, with an autocratic leadership. Anyone who cannot make it in the US with its capitalism..cannot make it anywhere guy. Israel was formed as a socialistic country..and has been evolving in time to a more free society, with all its inherent faults. With no oil and just potassium, it has become the powerhouse of the M.E..it's peoples talent and creativity and enterprise, is wshat countrs backed by a strong military Re: Linvi and Israel..she is a disgrace, a politico threw and threw, who tests the winds. From Likud to the present affioliation, she swings both ways. She contradicted her bosses on many occasions ( US TV). JSt unlike KSt, believes sincerely that 2 states are viable..and will allow two peoples to live side by side in peace and fellowship. They ignore the obvious: from Tunisia to Iran, the Sudan to Eritiia, from one Continent to another, the hate Israel crowd is proliferting with every new condesention by US and pandering to them by the UN and EU. Little Israel is faulted for defending itself against another genocide..They, the victors have become the victims very smarty by the Arab PR and spinmeisters. Livni hasnt the foggiest idea of what she is suggesting and advocating. She should look north to Lebanon, and Syria for insights. ASA Iran get the bomb, its clear sailing for Israel's enemies. There may be no solution for 100 years, I dont know? Perhaps the Allon Paln with adjustments assuming the Arabs agree (highly unlikely however). Or link the W. Bank to Jordan and Gazaville to Egypt with nation to nation diplomacy. One thing Livni, your enemies want your scalp, your familys scapls and every Jew in Israel. Its called per Hitler, "Total War". Rather a disgruntled Pales population than a destroyed Jewish one,my friend. Wake up..all our necks are on the line.
39. There is no other solution
Dave ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (09.30.13)
Anybody who thinks otherwise is living an illusion which is dangerous for the State of Israel. Palestinians need to exercise sovereignty over the lands recognized by the international community as belonging to them. This time the negotiations need to be successful and end this conflict once and for all.
40. Livni = J street = wrong person to drive policies
JJJ   (09.30.13)
41. "this is the last chance for peace"
(09.30.13)
I don't understand who Abbas is trying to intimidate with his statement "this is the last chance for peace" The Palestinians need peace more than the Israelis. The Palestinian people may want peace, but the Palestinian Gov doesn't really want peace, they just want an established border on Jewish land from which they can play victims all their lives and live on hand outs.
42. #9, #20: If as you claim, the West Bank is
runner1983 ,   USA   (09.30.13)
part of Israel for all of the reasons you outline, when will the Israeli government grant citizenship to the people who were living there before it was conquered? Oh, sorry there is a problem with that. I forgot that granting these people citizenship may challenge the Jewish nature of Israel. So, do you plan on the status quo indefinitely? If this is what you desire, you are violating Jewish values by the way these people are treated. So, which way will it be?
43. Bibi sold out Israel
Bill Stein ,   USA   (09.30.13)
The Times of Israel had a article "Likud MK implies Netanyahu will compromise on Jerusalem Palestinian right of return is the the only major issue preventing a peace deal, Tzachi Hanegbi tells J Street Conference" In my opinion There are only four reasons bibi is in So called Peace Negotiations and adopting a policy of appeasement to the United States. 1. He believes in Obama and what he is doing. 2. He is being bribed. 3. He is being blackmailed 4. He is playing along with Obama and Livni temporarily because he is hostile to Israel and plans to attack Iran after which he bulks at the negotiations. I am beginning to believe the unthinkable of the motives of Bibi. Bibi is a traitor to Israel and the Jewish People he sold his soul to President Obama.
44. #14. So much rubbish. So few words.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.30.13)
#14. So much absurd, incomprehensible rubbish in so few words. Plus puerile insults too. Dov ben David provides more proof the smart people have all deserted the left. What are left are the dregs of the dregs. Jews with a death wish who want to drag all of us down with them.
45. Livni should be preocupied.....
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (09.30.13)
with her country's security. The great democratic system won't protect the Israeli population against savage murderers!
46. To N 34, Israeli 2
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (09.30.13)
Exactly for being a friend, I feel myself legitimated to make suggestions on the scope of your country, that I like and admire very much. And listen again: Arab dwellers will never be expelled to Jordan. Israel was founded through excellent principles. Hence, if there is "one State", Jewish identity will be too weakened. Think better about it. Salutes/Shalom.
47. #25 you are exactly right
Dave ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (09.30.13)
Unfortunately years of disinformation and one-sided information (about Palestinians, origin of conflict, past agreements and negotiations) and of course terrorism has made the Israeli side much more extreme. Let's just hope these negotiations end this absurd conflict one and for all.
48. BB Will Be Forced to Hit Them Hard
Noah Lev ,   Los AngelesUSA   (09.30.13)
Let me see, Iran is spinning charm, while centrifuges still spin ( violation of UNSC resolutions), They parade their Shihabs each year, with signs "next year in Jerusalem". They boast Israel's demise, its the cancer in the M.E. Syria is implodiing.with Al Qaeda elements and rebels predicting Israel is next. Hez is gaining experience in Syria (to attack Israel someday). Egypt is in a civil war, with the religious crowd seeing the Caliphate if they win. Lebanon/Jordan are inundated with Syrian refugees and intra Muslim fighting. Iraq is slowly coming under Irans umbrella and the USA is tired of these long, unsuccessful wars with 3rd world countries. Iran's hammer is yetr to be forged..it needs nukes or the ability to place warheads on its Shihabs which are viable. It has a massive army, even w/o Syrias BCs. Recall in 67, other Arab nations were headed towards the war zone. Israel and its Jews, have become the focal point (again) of it's areas dysfunciton and internal strife. Hitler blamed we Jews (all) and the Slaves ( Communism) for the Reigh's demise. Iran blames Israel for Syrias need for weapons. Egypt demands Israel sign the treaty (even though it has 300 F16s, etc.) and 1m man army. Bibi is like a tiger backed up against a wall....sooner or later he must come out fighting.
49. Poor Math, Poor History.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (09.30.13)
The Math: Its a 5-state: Jordan [2-state], P.A. [3-state], Gaza [4-state], Israel [5-state]. Israel must demand a Coptic 2-state in East-Egypt instead. The History: Jews & Christians predate Islam in Arabia. Islam does not need land. Palestine was Mandated for 'One only Jewish state'.
50. To FO #33. More surprises
Harri ,   EU   (09.30.13)
If you read some modern studies, you could learn that all Jews are related to Palestinians who are the most "Jewish" group of the Israeli population. Genetically Palestinians and Jews are essentially a single population, and that Palestinians are slap bang in the middle of the different Jewish populations. Those stories you mentioned from history are stories for children. They are politically motivated and have no scientific value. Palestinians are your brothers, like it or not. Learn to live with your family.
51. HASHEM ought to be Israels only Intresst !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.30.13)
52. Nr 14. You err -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.30.13)
- Facists are Leftwingextremists !. You Leftwingers cant fool us by calling your Brothers/Sisters Rightwingers. Socialistdemocrats(Socialdemocrats)-Communists-Facists-Nationalsocialists are all Leftwingers. The 3 later Leftwingextremists. Arn.Sweden.
53. #42 They already have citizenship for the most part:
A ,   Belgium   (09.30.13)
Jordanian citizenship, and that is where they should return to. They can be Abdullahs headache amongst their arab "bretheren" there.
54. So its good for you and its good for me
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (09.30.13)
Then its good for everybody Surprise Surprise So negotiators - get back to work Meanwhile to BOTH Media let the GOOD NEWS of practical open cooperation and the positive stories take precedence over the negative
55. Is Mrs.Schpitzer operating OUTSIDE of our govt? If so, it is
tom ,   tel aviv   (09.30.13)
the PM that's responsible for her, if not it is still Netanyahu's responsibility. This is not a time to be playing "good cop/bad cop".
56. To: # 46 and # 47:
Israeli 2   (09.30.13)
Thank you, but Israel is as Israel was and as Israel will be. One united Israel, from the Med. Sea, 1/2 of Syria, most of Jordan and some of Iraq. This is really not too much. Trust me. Brazil will still be bigger. Don't you think G-d knows what he says? Of course He does.
57. TO RUNNER # 42. I DO NOT CLAIM...
FO ,   Belgium   (09.30.13)
Sorry Runner, but you didn't reply to my two basic questions (See post # 20): is Israel an occupying power, yes or not, and is Israel violating any International Law when settling in the so called West Bank, yes or no. "I do not claim" anything, Runner. I just want an honest analyze, legal and historical about this matter without preconceived ideas and without treachery. Then ONLY will be the time to look for a solution.
58. #57: You pose very valid questions. In my
Runner1983 ,   USA   (09.30.13)
view, I do not believe Israel is violating International Law. Howver, I do believe it is against Jewish values to continue indefinirely the current situation on the West Bank .
59. #57 Israel is an occupying power whose
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (09.30.13)
civilian settlements are in breach of international law according to the overwhelming majority of the international legal community. Of course, you already know this --but deny it. So stop pretending that you want an "honest analysis" when th only analysis you accept is anything but that.
60. TO #59 - THE SAME OLD CHORUS...
FO ,   Belgium   (10.01.13)
"Israel is an occupying power whose civilian settlements"... etc...etc...etc...again your same old chorus, without being able to produce any evidence, just repeating again and again that "the overwhelming majority" etc, etc,... And again without any piece of evidence or historical fact! You know what, On the Balcony? Rather disappointing for the lawyer you are!
