At least Iranian is brave enough to join NPT and Israel is shrouded in secrecy. Who actually doesn't want peace?
32. Methinks ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.02.13)
... the Iranians doth protest too much. So Rohani's charm school fooled everyone except the Israelis. No wonder the Iranians are pissed off. The only country in the world of which they are really, truly afraid (for good reason) has seen through their pathetic disguise. It doesn't take much to fool Americans or Europeans. It takes considerably more to fool the Israelis. Bravo, Prime Minister Netanyahu. Every other member of the United Nations wins the booby (hatch) prize. Hope it doesn't bite them in the @$$. Actually -- I hope it bites them precisely there. Couldn't happen to a more deserving passel of cretins.
33. No human rights for Jews.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (10.02.13)
The New York Times owned by a family of former Jews during World War 2 covered up the nazi extermination of Jewish children, women and men. For this paper human rights do not apply to Jews.
34. Newspaper
zznhl   (10.02.13)
Both the USA and Israel are supposed to be democracies (... wheres that pinch of salt?). Is international diplomacy governed by the whims of egotistical newspaper editors? So what if the “esteemed“ editor of the NYT thinks one thing; Ill show you ten other publications and media outlets that think the opposite. This really does not warrant front page space in our own media!
35. Obamas IQ ? Sarahs IQ ?
Patrick A. Hammel ,   Zermatt, Switzerland   (10.02.13)
Please Sarah enlighten us all and tell us what your IQ is?

Arab Neo-fascism in every guise. After all: it is home to the Judeo-Quisling, T.Friedman and his asinine musings.
37. Explaining the NYT attack
David ,   Copenhagen   (10.02.13)
For anyone wondering - there is an explanation to the NYT wild attack this morning against PM Netanyahu: Here is what the New York Times editorial had to say about it (In 2005, North Korea agreed to a deal): "For years now, foreign policy insiders have pointed to North Korea as the ultimate nightmare... a closed, hostile and paranoid dictatorship with an aggressive nuclear weapons program. Very few could envision a successful outcome. And yet North Korea agreed in principle this week to dismantle its nuclear weapons program, return to the NPT, abide by the treaty's safeguards and admit international inspectors…. Diplomacy, it seems, does work after all." End quote. Ladies and Gentlemen, A year later, North Korea exploded its first nuclear weapons device.
38. NYTs Usefull Idiocy !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (10.02.13)
I Quote - NYT: Netanyahu sabotaging Obama's Iran efforts Comment - Is US relations with Iran more important than Her relations with Israel ?. Should USs Relations with Iran be founded on the Corpse of Israel ? It is Obama who is sabotaging Israels Security and Existentialk efforts. Further - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to "sabotage the best chance" to restore relations between the West and Iran, the New York Times is claiming in an editorial following Netanyahu's General Assembly address. Comment - Iran will never resore any realtions with the US or the West with this Shia-Islamic Regime in power. Further - "But Mr. Netanyahu has hinted so often of taking military action to keep Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon that he seems eager for a fight. He did it again at the United Nations on Tuesday, warning that Israel reserved the right to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities if it deemed that Iran was close to producing nuclear weapons. " The paper conceded that Iran hid its nuclear program from United Nations inspectors for nearly 20 years, For Mr. Obama, that means working closely with Israel and helping Mr. Netanyahu see that sabotaging diplomacy, especially before Iran is tested, Comment - Is not 20 Years of Testing Enuff for this Usefull Idiot of Newspaper ? Arn.Sweden
39. You guys are really weird, maybe its time
Ken ,   Burma at Peace   (10.02.13)

Arn. ,   Sweden.   (10.02.13)
- The Leader they chose in a Democracy, that is, The Mayority of its people. The Prudent.Wise, intelloigent and Clever, has never any Mayority of People behind them, because the Prudent,Wise, intelligent and Clever, is not in a Mayority in a People. Arn.Sweden.
41. Who is opposed to Netanyahu's policy?
Ram ,   London   (10.02.13)
NY Times, Robert Fisk, Yechimovitch and Robert Gibs? Need I say more?
42. Fisk and NYT
Alf Red ,   Londonistansk   (10.02.13)
Robert Fisk is a well-known stinker and hater of Israel. NYT is and was what Lenin once called "useful idiots". A horse would understand that until the power in Iran belongs to clerical bonzas, hated by the all who are able to think - there will not be a real change. Only those who are willing to be deceived, will swallow Rohani's bait. Israel can not affort to be as idiotic as NYT writers obviously are.
43. #31 rau - answer:
solomon ,   bklyn   (10.02.13)
Iran actually doesn't want peace. Neither does the arab world. Yes, Iranians are not arabs. But having nuclear weapons would keep both Iranians and arabs from attacking, as both want to destroy Israel. Your myopia is showing.
44. Robert Gibbs; the WORLD HAS FORGOTTEN THE 20th century;
hipocrates ,   earth   (10.02.13)
darfur....syria...mynamar...1 million...200k...?k deaths respectively This has all happened in the last 0-10 years. You are dead wrong gibs.over a million dead in fact.
45. For any hypothetical thaw btw US and Iran,
Nick ,   Sweden   (10.02.13)
the US will pay a heavy price - upfront. And the price is Israel. Obama will throw Israel to the wolves. He's a cowardly sell-out weaned on hostility to Israel. After he assures Iran that the US have no intention to defend Israel if attacked - the rest you can imagine. Bibi knows that and has nothing to loose by criticising Iran at the UN. If he's wrong, Israel will extend the period of peace, if he's right he will have the moral high ground in a war with Iran.
46. David @37 points out frightening...
Raoul ,   Herzliya. Israel   (10.02.13)
parallel with NYT report on N.Korea's diplomacy, followed by them getting their nuclear bomb. Does not Obama or SOMEONE in the White House see a repeat of this strategy?
47. All praise to the Prime Minister for telling the truth
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (10.02.13)
Prime Minister Netanyahu told the U.N. yesterday the truth about Rohani. He made a dig at the NYTimes and showed how pathetically stupid it has been in regard to North Korea. Unfortunately the Times has been worse than stupid historically. Its hiding of evidence of the Shoah was perhaps the most shameful of it. As for Robert Fisk he is a longtime shill of the Assads and a longstanding Israel hater. Why would anyone take him seriously?
48. Isreal Needs To Do What Is Best For Israel
emanon ,   USA   (10.02.13)
Good on ya, Bibi! Israel is an independent country and needs to act like one. If that is contrary to an ally's plan . . . Oh well, too bad!
49. Pacifists like NYT prefer excuses for appeasement
Sam ,   Canada   (10.02.13)
Throw a lollipop like Rohani has done and the far leftist appeasers are eager to catch it. Netanyahu will have to get used to the fact that the US and EU are in no mood to attack Iran. They are in no mood for more war. So, if sanctions are not enough for Netanyahu he will have to attack Iran himself whether he is right or not about Iranian intentions.
50. UN address by Bibi
Mark ,   Atlanta,USA   (10.02.13)
Bibi, continue to hold your ground. As Obama is spineless and only cares for his agenda,as evident in his inaction on both domestic and foriegn critical issues. here in the US we see him as a megalamaniac.he has the attitude of my way or no way.
51. NYT- Fool me once shame on you...
Joe Fraser   (10.02.13)
fool me twice shame on me. NYT will always be a rag of appeasement.
52. Sarah #12
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (10.02.13)
Sarah, Obama is left handed.
53. The NYT is PressTV
steve from raleigh   (10.02.13)
It's a race to see who buys the NY Times: the White House or the Iranian government. Is there even a difference anymore?
54. Bravo Bibi! Now do the same at home.
David ,   Hartford USA   (10.02.13)
Now, as you stood up for Israel at the UN, stand up for Israel at home by signing off on all the housing construction waiting to be built! No more delays, put a pen to paper and start building.
55. bibi represents israeli interests
milson   (10.02.13)
bibi does not want to allow iran to get nuclear weapons because of the terror track record. Obama wants containment and some assurances delivered multilaterally. Bibi talks a very good game but is weak on delivery unless yaalon, bennett, lapid, leiberman and shamir decide it for him which is what will happen. On another subject, bullies of any stream pounce on weakness and anything that identifies as weak whether intentional or not. The dress code and manner of the haredi identifies them as such and gives rise to antisemitism. moreover, even without identifiers, jews with a weak submissive manner invites antisemitism. Who I am talking about is german, gal on, yechaimovtich, olmert, livni, beilin, ben ami, haber, sarid, levy, gil sher, amir oren and so on. That does not mean that strong israelis can go anywhere as ariel sharon found out in lebanon as you don't go into fights tthat are never ending. There is no antisemitism basically against the idf as the world knows it can handle itself and give as good as it gets. That the idf soldier on the west bank was overly polite to the french diplomat invited the fist attack. Barak has given restrictive orders to the idf and it has been a royal mistake. jews have to give back even harder than they take. they also have to have lots of babies and intermarry with moderates to expand the population to 10 million in 8 years. Finally any peace deal needs israel to assert is claims over 1/3 of jordan on the east bank. With 10 milion israelis, and land as described, it will have breathing space and be able to relax a bit, And it should beam 24/7 to arabs that they are sitting on israeli land.
56. The difference between obama and Netanyahu
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (10.02.13)
obama's dissolving ink "red line" vs. Netanyahu's "end of the line.' If I were Iranian, I'd sure as hell listen to Netanyahu.. obama, not so much. obama would rather be publicly shunned by Rouhani than to speak with our elected officials, curious.
57. #31 The NPT is utter BS. Everyone knows except you.
NudNik69   (10.02.13)
58. NYT Neville Chamberlin
Emes Said ,   Silver spring, md   (10.02.13)
Lets see does iran no longer burn fags of USA? Do they no longer chant death to USA? Was Royhani not pictured just to the right of Achminajad during US hostage siege of our diplomats? Has Iran ever been asked to apologize for what they did or pay fines for damages? Do they still sponsor Terror? What does NYT think of Egypt just cutting ties with Iran? Why do Sunni Muslims not trust Iran? Who gives weapons to Taliban to kill US Troops in Afganistan?
59. The operative words are
ASTRONAUT ,   SC,USA   (10.02.13)
A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N- – I-R-A-N relations. Not a word about ISRAEL coming from a paper whose best use is to line the bottom of my birdcages.
