1. The man-child is no match for the worldly and devious
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (10.02.13)
Face it. Most of Obama's experience prior to gaining political office involved other people's money - spending it or getting others to spend theirs as he saw fit (as in getting banks to make more risky loans). And his Chicago tactics don't work when he has few resources to play. He's also a true believer - in his ideology and in himself. Such people become "marks" when played by the likes of Putin, Assad, and Iranians. No, Obama does not have "excellent speaking skills" - only teleprompters and skilled speechwriters whose memes are becoming stale and predictable. And his more skilled interlocutors aren't impressed by the "force" of his personality. They treat him as of little consequence, and the US pays the price.
2. Could it be that Obama...
Gunnar ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (10.02.13)
...actually puts America's interests first, and that that might be the reason this Israeli author calls him a "leader of weak charcter"?
3. The Spirit Is Willing
(10.02.13)
But the brain is what Stops The Body From Action? The brain immersed by rev. jerimah wright???
4. Mr Otero also failed completely in Egypt.
Beary White ,   Norway   (10.02.13)
He betrayed the old friend of USA and start playing with the muslim- brotherhood, now being criminalized and forbidden in Egypt.. His knowhow regarding Benghazi is questionable... His judgement level must be very low, he should know it is just not enough to be an islamic follower seated in the colored house to be enlighten.... Like Qadeer Khan, the Pakistani scientist who gave avway nuce info to N-Korea and other Islamic states, we almost can see comparable behavior towards Iran...
5. The only one who believes Obama is Netanyahu
Al   (10.02.13)
Netanyahu is leading Israel to the abyss as he is willing to go to Oslo 3. Notwithstanding his speech at the UN (A made for TV moment) he is all about PR. He has precious little commitment or content. He has shown a continuous weak approach towards the enemy. He can talk the talk but he cant walk the walk.
6. Shortly I will repeat my pathetic broken record, NATO, UNSC,
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (10.02.13)
ICC, EU, OIC, US,
7. That certainly is one way of looking at things, but the OTHER
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.02.13)
possibility: that Obama knows exactly what & why he's doing, is much more frightening. I sincerely believe, that every man's/woman's character & convictions are made up during first 6-8 formative years. Taking into consideration the kind of education he must have received in a Madras, plus the anti-American, subversive company he's kept during his youth, gives us a man, that is on a hostile mission. Hostile to the USA, hostile to everything Western World stands for. Even if it sounds crazy, I think this is more consistent with the course his Presidency has taken from day 1. "If it looks & smells like fish...." The coincidences are too glaring and too many, to be completely disregarded. Paranoia, I don't know???
8. "...he finds it difficult to keep his promises"
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (10.02.13)
Just because Obama doesn't keep his promises it doesn't mean that he wasn't sincere or that his failure is a problem for him. There might be an explainable attitude problem. I am led to believe, rightly I think, that there;s a principle in Islam that a worthy undertaking made by a Muslim counts for him as if he has actually fulfilled it...even if he fails to fulfil it.What I'm getting around to is suggesting that, whether he's a Muslim or not,Obama's early Islamic upbringing has left him with this attitude problem. For a President of the US and the leader of the west,it certainly is a problem;a really bad problem. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
9. Yes, #2, that is at the root of Klieger's snivel session
Cameron ,   USA   (10.02.13)
10. George W. was a president of weak character,
A ,   Belgium   (10.02.13)
Obama is proving himself to be a president of no character.
11. Some Generalizing
Zechariah   (10.02.13)
Obama is probably an atheist or agnostic who is traditional but not religious .Definetly hates war .Believes the Jews ought have a state with overwhelming security but within smaller borders to allow the Palestinians a Demilitirized Autonomy admitted to the UN as a State with a flag and nonantijewish pro peace anthem.A land swap will allow the Jews to keep a portion of Judae and Samaria and a huge NATO and Jewish and perhaps Bedouin Jordanian Army ought protect Jews and Arabs from the PsychoFanatic Lovers of Killing and Conquering and Blood Letting.
12. Backbone
Angela P ,   The Haque, Holland   (10.03.13)
Obama is as a bag with bones. A shame they forgot to include his backbone!
13. How soon can Christie step in???
jackJew   (10.03.13)
This will all fall on his shoulders when he becomes President. Hopefully it wont be too late!
14. So he's weak for not fighting a war on your behalf?! LAME.
Marwan ,   Tel Aviv, Palestine   (10.03.13)
15. Obama would rather appease than fight
Sam ,   Canada   (10.03.13)
Obama is finishing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and he's had enough. He'd rather not fight Syria or Iran and he wishes Israel would just hand over a state to the Palestinians. His goals are at odds with Israel and there's the problem. Netanyahu will have to take the lead himself without looking over the shoulder all the time for a US okay.
16. weakness of character?
antoine levy ,   helsinki   (10.03.13)
Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with weakness of character and all with very firm, though carefully unpublicized personal convictions about the source(s) of evil in the world. This is infinitely more complicated to deal with for political leaders with a pinch of sekhel in the brain.
17. Aren't we Jews a little pissed?
Avi ,   NYC, USA   (10.03.13)
Being outsmarted by a ...schvartze?
18. Barry Soetoro is brown-skinned
Jumbix   (10.03.13)
That is the only, the ONLY reason he was voted in twice.
19. Wouldn't Say Weak
Christy ,   Boston, US   (10.03.13)
Obama was never subjected to the same scrutiny others in his position have been. The US press have been very mild when questioning him. --- He doesn't seem to handle true opposition very well. Seems to throw him off focus. --- If the US Press had done its job and kept asking hard/rude questions. Obabma would be much better prepared to deal with the various situations he finds himself in.
20. Pathetic article that adds nothing to the Iranian debate
Shachar ,   Eilat   (10.03.13)
I doubt there are many individuals in the world who can match Obama's strength of character. If you don't agree with his world-view or modus operandi then say so. Strength of character has nothing to do with it. And only the future will tell if his modus operandi is sucessful or not. What is becoming clear is that Bibi's modus operandi is failing us fast.
21. Foundation of leadership
Sherlock Holmes ,   London   (10.03.13)
A leader needs the support of followers. It was clear that Parliament and Congress both opposed attacking Syria, so Cameron and Obama were on very weak ground. The Queen requires a two-thirds majority in the Commons to authorise an act of war such as Iraq, so Cameron had to back down. Obama, with no UN mandate, went to Congress who also voted against him. Bush had about 40 countries supporting the US in Iraq; Obama had just France supporting him in Syria.
22. It is not His charakter but His Thoughts -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (10.03.13)
- He is an Unmatured Idiot, and if you thinks wrong you loose. By His Idiocy of Thoughts, He will make everything He try to avoid with His Diplomacy/Thoughts, more Worse than ever. Arn.Sweden.
23. America is little more than open cesspool anymore
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (10.03.13)
With Mr. Obama as the most glaring example...Israel will be better off without it.
24. Sherlock #21
RJE ,   Adelaide, Australia   (10.04.13)
Sherlock, my dear fellow, you are in error. HM Government does not need Parliamentary support for a declaration of war or for warlike operations. The Prime Minister, Mr Cameron, chose to consult Parliament on the matter of Syria but he had no obligation to do so and he was under no obligation to follow the vote of the House of Commons.
25. #2, how are US interests served?
Danny   (10.04.13)
By a nuclear Iran, a WMD using Syria, bullying China and a proliferating North Korea?
26. #20, on what basis are you making that claim?
Danny   (10.04.13)
27. Weak character?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.04.13)
Oh, if only. Obama has no character. And he lacks the intellect to formulate a thoughtful, coherent opinion. Face it -- without his teleprompter, he's a bumbling fool; a complete laughingstock. Leave international diplomacy to those with the requisite knowledge and ability. Stick to what you know best and do most, Mr. "President" -- choosing between the five iron and the nine iron. Golf balls are the only balls you have.
28. Obama Flunked
Walid ,   Spain   (10.04.13)
I agree fully with Noah Klieger. Obama is the weakest president in the history of the US. He flunked every major test and if he has any decency, he should resign. Domestically and internationally he failed on all his promises and the US lost its credibility worldwide. He made a star out of Putin and a real lion out of Assad (LION). Now the federal government is bankrupt bringing the so-called capital of power in the world to a standstill. How can you depend on such a weak and impotent ally?
29. President Obama
Avi schreiber ,   Givat zeev   (10.04.13)
I'm not a great fan of the USA but I have to commend President Obama for his diplomacy with Syria and Iran . This Op-Ed writer would have him bomb both countries kill thousands of innocent people and probably send in ground troops too ! Thank G-d there is a world leader who doesn't want to sacrifice his young soldiers for nothing ! Hopefully Mr Netanyahu will learn that this is the way to proceed ! Mr Obama I'm proud of you !
30. #29 avi
aaron ,   toronto,canada   (10.04.13)
