In Islamic States,they have the same law and without the husband's approval, the woman cannot get a divorce. but at least in some of those countries women are allowed to ask for a pre-nuptial agreement in which the husband agrees that the wife will have the right to obtain a divorce if she dosn't want to live with him. The husband is not forced to sign such agreement and if he signs it, his wife will be lucky and will be able to be free in case she dosn't want to live with him. I know there's been talks about the use of pre-nuptial agreement about the issue of Gets but why can't rabbis make it a law?
