I am sure that Teva will manage the layoffs by natural attrition and reorganisation so as to lessen the economic and social woes that this step brings. Most pharmaceutical companies worldwide have badly mismanaged the staffing and in certain areas are grossly overstaffed and have far to many managers and not enough ground staff, sadly it is the ground staff that suffer and subsequently because of this a few months down the line there is a rush for staff and the unqualified for these positions are appointed and the sorry saga begins again. What is required is wholesale overview of the pharmaceutical industry in the hope that this tragedy is not repeated again and again. Sadly it will continue to happen as it continues to happen worldwide.
