Best article yet on Turkish Israeli 'relations', if you can call it that. Excellent, in fact. Mazel Tov Y'all.
32. # 21 Many already do, more will also.
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (10.21.13)
Not only those near Turkey - American's want no part of the Turks either As a Jew I believe that 'He who curses you I will curse, he who bless you I will bless.' Watch, wait, and see how this will happen.
33. #26 what is funny
(10.21.13)
You guys always curse Israel. A few years ago, Assad was building nukes and your NATO friends did nothing. Israel took it on herself to take all the risks and neutralized the nukes. I won't comment on Erdogan's wisdom for sending Jihadis from Turkey to murder Syrian children, but I am sure he would not do it if he thought Assad could vaporize Ankara and Istanbul.

money has no religion nationality etc, israeli tourist were close to half million before mavi marmara loss of israeli tourist is close to 90 percent(but people are returning back) if i was hotel owner i wouldnt want to loose even one tourist 60k is good number 500k is even better my point was turkish tourism doesnt depend on israel, almost 70 percent of turkish tourism depends on eu and nort america the rest is asia middle east etc this doesnt mean we didnt lose good deal of money with over 400k israelis avoiding the turkish resorts the arabs are filling the gaps but i prefer israeli tourists any given time im kinda sick of seeing them around my friend who work in tourism say they are the creepiest tourist not hygenic and use rooms primitevly its collateral damage of politics but i think over the time israelis will be back at least open minded ones turks dont treat them bad

the truth   (10.21.13)
fact is that Israel never has and never will support actively any NATO or US military actions, these relation being all take and no give. So much to "special relations".

it looks like Arabs are not filling the gaps tight enough that the Antalya Tourism association was really begging when the group of their representatives visited Israel early this year. Israelis mostly are open minded so much that after the hope of some improvements in Turko / Israeli relationship this summer many Israelis visited Turkey increasing the numbers from the year before. I only hope that Turks also would be as open minded as Israelis. But after reading the interview with Cubbelli Hoca in Hurriyet yesterday and today I am not hopeful.

David Israel ,   New York, USA   (10.21.13)
The interview with Cuppeli Hoca was in Hurriyet. I was not reading Sabah or Zaman. But I recommend it to read. You can have a good giggle especially his answers to the 72 virgins.

David Israel ,   New York, USA   (10.21.13)
as you know not all of them are Cubbeli his nick name is cubbeli in this case) There are many hocas who are not wearng the cubbe such as Bulent Arinc and even Erdogan himself although he probably prefers to be a Halife Sultan .

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.22.13)
Oh, but Israel DID pluck NATO's chestnuts out of the coals when it destroyed Iraq's nuclear reactor, did it not? What kind of a war do you think you would have had in 1991 had Israel not done that? Think of all the American servicemen and women who did NOT come home in body bags during the Gulf War and show a modicum of respect for Israel and a GREAT deal of gratitude. We're tired of pulling the West's chestnuts out of the coals. Next time, you can do it yourselves. Because you have acquitted yourselves oh-so-well in Afghanistan. Iraq. Waziristan. Yemen. Libya. Oh, please. Are you truly so stupid and uninformed that you do not realize that the only thing that stops Arab and Moslem actions against the West is their calculation of the degree to which Israel will respond? The Arabs and Moslems treat the United States and Europe with considerable disdain. They are terribly afraid of Israel. Let that govern your stupid foreign policy. They hate you, but they do not fear you. They fear Israel a great deal. For good reason.

Best article I ever read about Turkey, straight to the point. But do not hold your breath, Israeli leaders are cowards and spineless regarding Erdogan. A move such as the one described here in this article will bring Israel up and out from the ashes of lack of self respect and will propel it to one of the highest points in the peaks of national pride. But as I said do not hold your breath ....
48. Dear Anton
Hertzel ,   Tveria   (10.22.13)
Sorry about the misunderstanding between you and Sara B. but it was your Erdogan decision to fill Turkey with what you called the "creepy ones" he chose the Islamists arabs cause he is one of them. It is up to the secular Turkey (the army) to change that.
49. where is the Iranian cash?

These attitude is the patriotic suicide. Blind nationalism. Good luck suiciders!
51. # 5 I believe you're wrong.....
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (10.23.13)
Turkey at present, has a 'leader' whose sole choice for a constant whipping boy is Israel. He was elected twice by his fellow citizens. The amount of Erdogen's insult and abuse, blackmail, extortion, 'demands', attempt to break the Gaza blockade, makes him, in my opinion, an active combatant enemy and 'head of a hostile state'. Frankly, he's impossible to deal with, he believes, falsely?, that obama will join him and also beat up on Israel. Enough! Would you have had a Jewish contingent meet with Hitler? Chamberlain did that..... Until both obama and Erdogen are gone, Israel will just have to do what arafat did so well the two step shuffle, one step forward, two steps backwards, except this time, no US dollars, it's coming from the pals employers, other oil rich pal cousins who pay dearly to keep them OUT of their nations... Why? Because it's worth it... BUSILY BUILDING AN AFFORDABLE ISRAEL!!!!
