That's ridiculous! We should be MUCH more welcoming of people who sincerely want to join our faith instead of creating such nonsensical barriers. What is the likelihood these two individuals will subject themselves to this humiliation again? Entry into Christianity and Islam are quite simple - why does Judaism's bar need to be set so extraordinarily high to validate one's intent and commitment?
