1. Of course it will fail.
(10.22.13)
When the negotiations come to splitting up Jerusalem or palestinians right of return, it will fail. And instead of you just flashing pictures of female paratroopers, how about you actactually demonstrate you have a capable police capab.... Who are we kidding! As soon as Israel withdraws, islamists will take over the west Bank. You can't even unify with the Gaza Strip! This is futile!

5. Abbas-O-care!
ASTONAUT ,   SC, USA   (10.23.13)
Gee Mr. Abbas, maybe u can turn the tide in your favor by offering Pan-Territorial Insurance! How's this for a tagline: "For coverage fine, on both sides of 'The Line,' get your fair share with Abbas-O-care!"
6. It is NOT for Abbas to accept or reject the application of
Hermon Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (10.23.13)
security measures needed to ensure Israel's national and security interests. Mr. Abbas was permitted to come to reside here strictly based on the assumption that he, along with his associates at the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) will conduct their steps peacefully and negotiate with Israel in good faith. Mr. Abbas was not permitted to come here in order to dictate to us, Jews, how to conduct our affairs, while his agents continue to carry out acts of terror against the Jews.
7. Security Borders
max ,   washington dc   (10.23.13)
Each time Israel has given land for "Peace" it has received "Terrorism " and Missiles fired on its civilians from its "peace partners". Only a FOOL would withdraw the IDF from the Jordan River, Golan or end the Legal Blockade of Hamastan! International Guarantees and Forces cannot even protect themselves and where were they when czecheslovakia was sacrificed before WwII?
8. Blame
max ,   washington dc   (10.23.13)
You forgot to mention that Israel is also blamed for sending endangered birds to spy on its neighbors!

13. The Arab Blame Game
Ross Gallen ,   Henderson, USA   (10.23.13)
Abbas and his cronies are good at playing the blame game. The Israeli government needs to set them straight. They can begin with announcing there never was a Palestinian State, and that Abbas, his family and henchmen are merely newcomers to Judea and Samaria. Their claim is not worth a nickel. The government should tell them to go back to Syria and Egypt instead of negotiating the Jewish homelands away.
14. Israel needs to wait out BHO's term before signing anything
Joe Fraser   (10.23.13)
15. Unable to resume responsibility
Alexander Scheiner ,   Israel   (10.23.13)
Unfortunately the palestinian authority is unable to resume any responsibility for their own. their only political replies are terror against Israel. rememberamalek.blogspot
16. Israel has never honored any agreement.
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (10.23.13)

17. #10 jim - correct!

solomon ,   bklyn   (10.23.13)
But you are speaking of the arabs. It’s interesting that you state what you did with no examples or facts. It might also interest you to know that there aren’t any, and your statement is pure wishful thinking...and pure something else as well.
18. Arabs in Israel Jews in Judaea and Samaria
Zechariah   (10.23.13)
For a Palestinian State to be Demilitirized a Massive Israeli USA NATO and perhaps Hashemite Jordanian Force will have to be maintained on the Jordan Valley and Parts of Area C in Judaea and Samaria on the West Bank of the Jordan.Arab Jewish and International Megacities could be settled in between . An equal area would be apportioned in the 1949. Armistance lines of Israel.A million Troops would be needed Plus a Massive AntiBallistic And Deterrant Capacity.
19. #10 Jimbo
Jerome ,   Basalt, colorado   (10.23.13)

Rozie   (10.23.13)
Abbas is not interested in peace. He is happy with things as yhey are. If he would wnat peace he would have made an agreement long ago. Where are the $3 billion that are not accounted for. He and his mafia gang are having lots of fun stealing all the funds that are marked for their population which per capita has received more funds than any people on this earth ever. STOP BLAMING ISRAEL. Israel was stupid to go ahead with Oslo. They should have known that the plan was doomed.

BAB ,   Jerusalem   (10.23.13)
The opportunity to blame Israel for the failure of the peace talks seems to be the primary incentive to engage in them at all.
27. Translation
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.23.13)
Israel's refusal to roll over and die because a terrorist rabble who demands nothing less than the demise of the State of Israel is Israel's fault. Guess what? The dog ate his homework, too. I am SO incredibly impressed with Abbas' sincerity. Aren't you?
28. Abbas preconditionally setting the stage
